Analysis of the Diffuse Axonal Injury of the Human Brain using Finite Element Model (유한요소 모델을 이용한 인간 뇌의 미만성 부상에 대한 해석)

  • To anlyze the diffuse axonal injury of the human brain, 3-D finite element models of the adult, two and three years child were developed. Triangular type acceleration which had its maximum value 200g was applied to investigate the effects of acceleration direction and duration time. The pattern of high shear stress generated at the brain stem, pones and midbrain was similar to the pattern of DAI seen in the clinical observation, especially high maximum shear stress was detected in the brain stem of the six year old child model under flexional acceleration. As the duration of acceleration increased generated pressure and maximum shear stress also increased. For the children's model relatively small pressure was generated regardless of the acceleration direction and continued much longer compared with adult's model. From this analysis maximum shear stress was revealed more proper indicator to predict DAI compared to HIC in case of angular acceleration loading.

동축형 분사기 분무특성 및 연소의 이론적 모델

  • 일반적인 액체추진제 로켓엔진의 연소는 분사제트의 미립화, 액적의 증발, 기상 추진제의 혼합, 화학반응 등, 일련의 물리적 과정들로 이루어지고, 여기서 특성속도 효율은 크게 분사특성 및 연소의 두 단계에서 결정되게 된다. 액체추진제 로켓엔진에 사용되는 여러 분무형태 중, 동축형 분사기에서는 액상과 기상 제트의 운동량 차에 의해 미립화가 이루어지며, 분무 액적들의 전개와 더불어 분사기 출구를 포함한 전 영역에서 연소가 발생되므로 매우 복잡한 물리적 특성들을 포함하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 기상 연료-액상 산화제의 동축형 분무연소를 JANNAF의 방법을 사용하여 수식화 하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 분무특성과 연소성능 예측을 위한 프로그램을 작성, 분사조건에 의한 분무특성과 그에 따른 연소성능을 계산하였다. 연속, 운동량, 에너지 및 혼합비 방정식의 지배방정식들을 바탕으로 기상 유동을 수식화 하였으며, 별도로 액적의 소산 및 연소과정을 모사하기 위한 별도의 수식들이 추가되었고, 이 식들을 결합하여 액적의 크기, 분포를 포함하는 액체 제트의 미립화 정도를 공간적으로 계산하였다. 미립화 모델의 검증을 위하여 계산 결과를 Reitz의 실험과 Giridharan의 모델 등과 비교하였으며 잘 일치하는 경향을 나타내었다. 또한 동축형 분사기에서의 분무 특성을 예측하기 위해 액체 산소, 기체 수소를 추진제 조합으로 하는 동축형 분무 연소장에서의 제트 길이, 액적의 크기, 액체 제트의 속도를 계산하였다. 계산 결과 액체 제트의 접촉길이는 분사공의 지름이 증가할수록 웨버수가 증가되므로 짧아지는 것으로 관찰되었으며 액적의 크기도 분사공의 지름이 증가할수록 작아지는 경향을 나타내었다. 액체 제트의 속도는 처음에는 일정하게 유지되다가 운동량을 보존하기 위해 가스로부터 운동량을 받아 점차 가속되어지는 것으로 나타났다.본 규격은 키, 총장, 어깨길이, 등길이, 머리길이, 머리둘레, 진동둘레, 목둘레, 가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 배둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 앞품, 뒤품, drop치를 포함하고 있고, 각 규격에서 호칭간 치수 간격도 함께 제시하고 있다. 본 연구 결과에서 보듯, 현행 8규격의 무진복의 각 호칭간 적정 허용범위를 고려해 합리적인 치수체계를 정립한다면 치수에 대한 적합도가 상당히 증가할 뿐 아니라 생산비용도 상당히 감축할 것으로 생각된다.나타났다. 4) 호감적 서비스능력 차원에서 세 독립변수간에 유의한 3원 상호작용이 존재하는 것으로 나타나( $F_{2,228}$=15.62, P<.001) 20대에 적합한 의복 착용시( $F_{2,228}$=3.98, P<.05)와 60대에 적합한 의복 착용시( $F_{2,228}$=16.55, P<.001) 점포유형과 격식차림간에는 유의한 상호작용이 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 5) 호감을 구성하는 세 요인들이 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과 호감적 인상차원은 29%(P<.001), 호감적 서비스능력차원은 6%(P<.001)의 구매의도를 설명해 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과 노년 소비자에게 호감을 주는 판매원의 외모는 구매의도에 영향을 주어 실버의류산업의 이익증대와 밀접한 연관을 갖는 서비스품질의 중요한 요인으로 밝혀졌다.중요한 요인으로 밝혀졌다.로운 단백질 EPSPS가 다른 여러 식물에 이미 존재하고 있는 단백질로서 우리가 이미 이러한 식품을 섭취할 때 이 단백질도 같이 섭취해오고 있었다는 점, 둘째. 이 단백질이 소화액 분해 실험에서 짧은 시간내에 분해가 되었다는 점, 셋째. 재조합 된 콩과 자연 콩이 성분 분석에서 차이를 나타내지 않았다는 점, 네 번째. 쥐를 통한 다양섭취 실험에서 아무런 이상 반응이 없었

Lateral Behavior of Abutment Piles in Full Integral Bridge During 7 Days in Response to Hydration Heat and Drying Shrinkage (수화열과 건조수축에 의한 7일간의 완전 일체식 교량 교대 말뚝기초의 횡방향 거동)

  • The bridge tested was 3 spans 90m-long PSC beam concrete bridge with a stub-type abutment which had a skew of 60$^{\circ}$ about the axis of bridge. A cement concrete was placed at the superstructural slab of the bridge. Inclinometers and straingauges were installed at piles as well. During 7 days-curing of superstructural slab, the pile behavior in response to hydration heat and drying shrinkage of the slab was monitored. Then monitored values were compared with the horizontal movement obtained from the HACOM program and the calculated lateral behavior obtained from the nonlinear p-y curves of pile. As a result, lateral behavior of H-piles by the field measurement occurred due to the influence of hydration heat and drying shrinkage obtained during curing of superstructural concrete. The lateral displacements by hydration heat and drying shrinkage were 2.2mmand 1.4mm respectively. It was observed as well that the inflection point of lateral displacement of pile was shown at 1.3m down from footing base. It means that the horizontal movement of stub abutment did not behave as the fixed head condition of a pile but behave as a similar condition. The measured bending stress did not show the same behavior as the fixed head condition of pile but showed a similar condition. The increment of maximum bending stress obtained from the nonlinear p-y curves of pile was about 300(kgf/$\textrm{km}^2$) and was 2 times larger than measured values regardless of installation places of straingauges. Meanwhile, lateral load, maximum lateral displacement, maximum bending stress and maximum bending moment of pile showed a linear behavior as curing of superstructural concrete slab.

  • In this paper, Dualband internal antenna for GSM/DSC handset is proposed. The antenna has a size of about $38mm{\times}90mm{\times}1mm$, giving a total mobile phone PCB for support and fold type patch of about $30mm{\times}8mm{\times}3.2mm$. This antenna characteriatic facilitates the fine-tuning of the two operating frequencies of 909MHz and 1762MHz in the dualband design. The measured radiation pattern in the E-plane and H-plane for operating frequencies of 909MHz and 1762MHz is compared and analyzed. The designed and fabricated two band internal antenna for GSM/DSC handset have a gain between 0dBi and 2.0dBi at all bands. Also, the electric firld distribution and directivity on human head caused by portable phone is analyzed. An analysis model is composed of a human head model and the antenna mounted on the same ground plane as portable telephone size.

A Semiotic In-depth Analysis of the Children's Picture Book : "Who Pooped on My Head?" (그림책 "누가 내 머리에 똥 쌌어?" 의 심층의미 분석 - Greimas기호학을 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzed picture book "Who Pooped on my Head?" by using semiotic theories and considered involved meaning of the text. Because characteristics of children's development and picture book should be in harmony, it is necessary to understand the text in-depth. As a result of analysis, the text helps psychological stability and contains the meaning and value that guides children into social value or norm. Analyzing the text by using Greimas' Semiotic square, the meaning that following bowel movement standard is socially established behavior was involved. It seems that giving up instinct and accepting standard are process to extend thought. In conclusion, this study confirmed that the meaning and value that support cognitive and emotional development was contained in the picture book, "Who Pooped on my Head?".

Influence of Hypoxic Exercise at Head Down Tilt on Cardiovascular Responses (머리하향기울기 자세에서 운동 중 저산소호흡이 심혈관계반응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of hypoxic exercise at head down tilt (HDT) on cardiovascular responses. Eight men ($23{\pm}2$ yrs, $176{\pm}4$ cm, and $75{\pm}8$ kg) underwent four separate exercise testing sessions; seated normoxia (SN), seated hypoxia (SH), HDT normoxia (HN), and HDT hypoxia (HH). Each participant performed the leg cycling at predetermined 40% of maximal aerobic capacity relevant to each posture for 15 min. Heart rate was higher in SH than SN and higher also in HH than SH (p<0.05). Blood oxygen saturation was lower in SH than SN (p<0.05). During resting, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure was significantly lower in HDT than seated posture (p<0.05). No differences were found between conditions in hemoglobin and hematocrit and electrolytes including, sodium, potassium, and chloride. Lactate was higher in SH than SN. In conclusion, there was no effect for cardiovascular responses to duplicate stimuli both hypoxia and posture.

  • It is requested that the interior compartment of a passenger vehicle must be satisfied with the FMVSS201U regulation, FMH impact test. It is needed the design methodology to find the appropriate structure about the FMH impact. When designing the impact-absorbing structure for the FMH impact test, it is to be noted that the impact absorber must have different performance considering the stiffness of the vehicle as the impact position and approach angle of FMH. In this study, an efficient design methodology was developed by using subcomponent collapse simulation instead of conducting full-vehicle simulation, thereby reducing the time and resources spent. Further, this unit-model simulation helps optimize the impact absorbing structure.

  • In remote gaze tracking system using infra-red LEDs, calibrating the position of reflected light is essential for computing pupil position in captured images. However, there are limitations in reducing errors because variable locations of head and unknown radius of cornea are involved in the calibration process as constants. This study purposes a gaze tracking method based on pupil-corneal reflection that does not require user-calibration. Our goal is to eliminate the correction process of glint positions, which require a prior calibration, so that the gaze calculation is simplified.

A Development on the Prediction Model for the HIC15 using USNCAP Frontal Impact Test Results (USNCAP 정면충돌시험 결과를 이용한 HIC15 예측모델 개발)

  • This study is to develop the prediction model for the HIC15 in frontal vehicle crash tests. The 28 frontal impact test results of the MY2019 and MY2020 USNCAP are utilized. The metrics for evaluating the crash pulse severity such as moving average acceleration, Restraint Quotient (RQ) and ride-down efficiency are reviewed to find out whether the metrics can predict the HIC15. It is observed that the R2 values based on the linear regression of all pairs between the existing metrics and the occupant injuries such as the HIC15, 3 ms chest g's and chest deflection are very low. In this study, using the vehicle crash pulses, the linear regression model for estimating the HIC15 is developed. The vehicle crash pulse is splitted seven 10 ms intervals in 70 ms after impact for extracting the average accelerations in each intervals. The prediction model can predict effectively not only the HIC15 but also the maximum head g's, chest deflection and 3 ms chest g's of 13 vehicles out of 28 vehicles.

Crossing Dynamics of Leader-guided Two Flocks (우두머리가 있는 두 생물무리의 가로지르기 동역학)

  • In field, one can observe without difficulties that two flocks are intersected or combined with each other. For example, a fish flock in a stream separates into two part by obstacles (e.g. stone) and rejoins behind the obstacles. The dynamics of two flocks guided by their leader were studied in the situation where the flocks cross each other with a crossing angle, ${\theta}$, between their moving directions. Each leader is unaffected by its flock members whereas each member is influenced by its leader and other members. To understand the dynamics, I investigated the order parameter, ${\phi}$, defined by the absolute value of the average unit velocity of the flocks' members. When the two flocks were encountered, the first peak in ${\phi}$ was appeared due to the breaking of the flocks' momentum balance. When the flocks began to separate, the second peak in ${\phi}$ was observed. Subsequently, erratic peaks were emerged by some individuals that were delayed to rejoin their flock. The amplitude of the two peaks, $d_1$ (first) and $d_2$ (second), were measured. Interestingly, they exhibited a synchronized behavior for different ${\theta}$. This simulation model can be a useful tool to explore animal behavior and to develop multi-agent robot systems.
