  • MPEG-I(Immersive) 그룹에서는 몰입형 미디어 영상처리 표준화의 일환으로 마이크로렌즈를 통한 다시점 영상 처리 기술인 Dense Light Field에 대한 성능 탐색을 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-I에서 정의된 라이트 필드 시퀀스에 대해 versatile video codec(VVC)에 대한 압축 성능 분석을 시행하였으며, 또한 렌즈렛(Lenslet) 형태의 특정적인 이미지 정보를 효율적으로 압축하기 위한 스크린 콘텐츠 코딩 툴의 효율 비교를 진행하였다. 또한 렌즈렛 영상에서의 화면 내 블록 카피(intra block copy) 기법이 선택되는 비율을 확인하고, 화면 내 블록 카피 기법을 통해 렌즈렛 영상이 효율적으로 압축될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • In wireless communications such as Bluetooth, Baseband should be able to minimize the DC bias of the data which passed the modem interface of either transmitter or receiver for the reliability of the circuit and the integrity of the data. The transmitter scrambles the data to send randomly to the error correction block and the receiver recovers the randomly spread data as they have been. To design the whitening block, it is important to select the prime polynomial for the filtering. In this paper, we designed a optimal whitening block using the prime polynomial $g(D)=D^7+D^4+1$ for hardware and area efficiency. The proposed hardware whitening block was described and verified using Verilog HDL and later to be automatically synthesized. The synthesized whitening block operated at 40Mhz normal clock speed of the target baseband microcontroller.

  • This paper proposes a scheme to maximize traffic capacity for supporting mobile multimedia services. For a handoff session, we suggest a novel resource reservation scheme to adjust the number of reserved resources in macrocell, depending on the number of saturated microcells. The proposed schemes are able to accommodate much more mobile sessions in the microcell and significantly reduce the blocking probability in the macrocell at the expense of the small increment of a forced termination in the microcell. Therefore, our system is more flexible to the increase of traffic in macrocell.

  • A microcapsule for drug delivery was successfully produced by utilizing the flow-through droplet-based supramolecular self-assembly in a crossed microchannel network. The PS-b-PMMA block copolymer synthesized atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) was initially formed as microdroplets and after the evaporation process it turned to spherical capsule by polymer self-assembly of the micro domains. The characteristics were studied using various analysis methods.

  • PCS(Personal Communications Systems) where the cell structure is microcell can accommodate more subscribers than those of cellular systems where the cell structure is macrocell by reducing the cell radius. To cope with such differences in PCS environment, new channel allocation schemes are needed. In this paper, problems which may arise when channel allocation scheme of cellular is applied to PCS is firstly analyzed. To overcome such problems, a new scheme is proposed. Performance of proposed schemes is analyzed and compared with other channel allocation schemes. Blocking probability is used as the performance parameter.

  • In this paper, we presents a pattern recognition by considering the spatial co-occurrence among micro-patterns of texture images. The micro-patterns of texture image have been extracted by local binary pattern based on median(MLBP) of block image, and the recognition process is based on co-occurrence among MLBPs. The MLBP is applied not only to consider the local character but also analyze the pattern in order to be robust noise, and spatial co-occurrence is also applied to improve the recognition performance by considering the global space of image. The proposed method has been applied to recognized 17 RGB images of 120*120 pixels from Mayang texture image based on Euclidean distance. The experimental results show that the proposed method has a texture recognition performance.

  • Analysis and design procedures for both symmetrical and non-symmetrical open-circuited interdigital multiple coupled microstrip line structures for applications as wide-band DC blocks/filters have been presented. The design equations, as is the case of other microstrip structures, are based on a simplified TEM model. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretically predicted ones.

  • This paper presents a hybrid blockchain-based Identity Management Framework for devices in Microgrid. It incorporates the use of a Public and Private Blockchain platform to store and authenticate Microgrid device identities. It also emphasizes the shared responsibility of the manufacturers to provide the first layer of authentication for the devices they produce. Identities of each device are stored in the private and public Blockchain and authenticated using physically unclonable functions (PUF) and cryptographic functions.

  • In the case of Java programming education for non-major undergraduates, there are no examples of applying the physical computing education method. The advantage of physical computing education is that you can directly check the SW processing output result according to the input value of digital and analog sensor, so that you can quickly correct programming errors and improve learner's learning interest and satisfaction. In this paper, we use the microbits to combine physical computing education with basic Java programming education. In addition, according to the computational thinking process, we proposed an educational method for creating Java programs using microbits. Through block programming to control the microbits, we designed an algorithm and applied a training method to convert it into a Java program. In addition, the results of students' evaluations were analyzed in the course applying the education method, and the effectiveness of the education method using the microbit was analyzed.
