Improving Drug Quantity Accuracy using Displacement Sensor in Pharmacy Automation Management System (약국 자동화 관리 시스템에서 변위 센서를 이용한 약품 수량 정확도 개선)

  • In the existing pharmacy automation system, quantity control was carried out only in the memory without first measuring the quantity of the medicine and during the operation of the facility. As a result, the number of drugs that have already been deducted during operation at the time of a facility error has not been managed. Serious problems are caused by important medicines that need to be managed because of lack of quantity control. In addition, the user had to refill the drug when it was exhausted because the user could not know the amount of the drug outside the facility. When the drug was out of stock, the facility was operating with loss of time to restart and the time to replenish the drug. Thus, in this paper, we designed and applied system to control the quantity of medicines frequently by adding displacement sensors to the robot of the facility.

  • AI is applied increasingly to overall industries such as living, medical, financial service, autonomous car, etc. thanks to rapid technology development. AI-leading countries are strengthening their competency to secure competitiveness since AI is positioned as the core technology in $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. Although Korea has the competitive IT infra and human resources, it lags behind traditional AI-leaders like United States, Canada, Japan and, even China which devotes all its might to develop intelligent technology-intentive industry. AI is the critical technology influencing on the national industry in the near future according to advancement of intelligent information society so that concentration of capability is required with national interest. Also, joint development with global AI-leading companies as well as development of own technology are crucial to prevent technology subordination. Additionally, regulatory reform and preparation of related law are very urgent.

  • Recently, due to the many features and advantages of cloud computing, cloud service is being introduced to countless industries around the world at an unbelievably rapid pace. With the rapid increase in the introduction of multi-cloud based services, security vulnerabilities are increasing, and the risk of data leakage from cloud computing services are also expected to increase. Therefore, this study will propose an AWS Well-Architected based security architecture configuration method such as AWS standard security architecture, AWS shared security architecture model that can be applied for personal information security including cost effective of cloud services for better security in AWS cloud service. The AWS security architecture proposed in this study are expected to help many businesses and institutions that are hoping to establish a safe and reliable AWS cloud system.

Comparative Analysis of Three-Dimensional Real-Time Rendering Methods

  • Image production using three-dimensional (3D) programs undergoes a process called rendering to visualize 3D data. Because this process is time-consuming and costly, the reduction of rendering cost has emerged as an important problem that requires resolution. This work aims to overcome the limitations of the current 3D image production pipeline and propose a method for reducing the production time by adopting a game engine for real-time rendering. In the experiment conducted in this study, rendering using Maya (a 3D production program) and Unity were compared and analyzed. The analysis results indicate that Unity enables rendering in real time; consequently, the rendering cost is reduced. Moreover, the quality of the rendered image is similar to that produced by Maya. The proposed technique involves reducing the render time and providing guidance through access to a real-time rendering engine.

A Study on Major Issues of Artificial Intelligence Using Keyword Analysis of Papers: Focusing on KCI Journals in the Field of Social Science (논문 키워드 분석을 통한 인공지능의 주요 이슈에 관한 고찰 : 사회과학 분야의 KCI 등재학술지를 중심으로)

  • Today, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a key driver of national competitiveness, but it is also causing unexpected side effects in society. This study intends to examine major social issues by collecting papers on AI targeting KCI journals in the field of social science. Therefore, we conducted keyword analysis of papers from 2016 to 2020. As a result of the analysis, the keywords for 'robot' and 'education' appeared the most, and the top six clusters (issues) were derived through the keyword network. The main issues are as follows: the background and/or basic concept of AI, AI education, side effects of AI, legal issues of AI-based creations, intention to use AI products/services, and AI ethics. The results of this study can be used to expand the discussion on the social aspects of AI and to find policy directions at the national level.

A Study on the Implementation of an Android-based Educational IoT Smartfarm (안드로이드 기반 교육용 IoT 스마트팜 구현에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the need to introduce smart farms is increasing in order to solve the problems of intensifying competition such as a decrease in rural population due to aging, a decrease in production, and the inflow of foreign agricultural products, and accordingly, the need for education is increasing. This paper is a study on the implementation of an Android-based IoT smart farm for education so that it can be used in a real environment by reducing the farm's smart farm system. To confirm that Android-based education can be applied in a real environment using the IoT smart farm for education, experiments were performed in automatic mode and manual mode using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and server/client communication methods. In the automatic mode, the current status can be checked in real time by receiving all data, and in the manual mode, commands are transmitted in real time using the received sensor data and remote control is performed. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to understand the characteristics of each communication method, and it was confirmed that remote monitoring and remote control of the smart farm using the Android App was possible.

A Study on the RPA Module Implementation of Cloud Travel and Expense Management System (클라우드 경비지출관리 솔루션의 RPA 모듈 구현에 관한 연구)

  • As the realization of the 4th industrial revolution is approaching, the paradigm of the corporate work environment is changing to digital, from the traditional work environment. In particular, technologies like RPA(robotic process automation) and chatbot reduce the need for human labor or task by automating simple repetitive tasks, enabling humans to focus on more valuable tasks. In this study, corporates operating expense management services in public cloud computing environments develop a cloud module that simplifies expense report management by grafting robotic process automation and chatbot technology. According to the result of the expert evaluation, the developed system marked 80.3% of satisfaction levels and the highest satisfaction level 94% was confirmed in terms of easy of use. Based on the research result, future research can be suggested to expand the works occurring inside and outside the company to a single RPA environment by additionally linking the work system related to expense management.

Performance Improvement of RRT* Family Algorithms by Limiting Sampling Range in Circular and Spherical Obstacle Environments (샘플링 범위 제한을 이용한 원 및 구 장애물 환경에서의 RRT* 계열 알고리즘 성능 개량)

  • The development of unmanned robots and UAVs has increased the need for path planning methods such as RRT* algorithm. It mostly works well in various environments and is utilized in many fields. A lot of research has been conducted to obtain a better path in terms of efficiency through various modifications to the RRT* algorithm, and the performance of the algorithm is continuously improved thanks to these efforts. In this study, a method using the limitation of sampling range is proposed as an extension of these efforts. Based on the idea that a path passing close to obstacles is similar to the optimal path in obstacle environments, nodes are produced around the obstacle. Also, rewiring algorithm is modified to quickly obtain the path. The performance of the proposed algorithm is validated by comparative analysis of the previous basic algorithm and the generated path is tracked by a UAV's kinematic model for further verification.

  • The National Institute of Special Education developed and distributed software textbooks for disabled students according to the necessity of practical course in elementary school and information in middle school in the 2015 revised curriculum. It is a textbook provided from the perspective of education opportunity equity but the content of programming education for visually impaired students was insufficient. Therefore this study was conducted for the purpose of confirming the effectiveness of programming education for visual impaired students and providing the direction of future programming education. In order to achieve the purpose, programming classes were conducted for blind students in the 6th grade of elementary school. As a result of a study using "Blocks4All", a block-based programming tool with robots, students participated in classes actively and efficacy, intrest, and usefulness of programming are high. This study is meaningful in that it confirmed the possibility of programming education for visually impaired students.

LED Chromaticity-Based Indoor Position Recognition System for Autonomous Driving (자율 주행을 위한 LED 색도 기반 실내 위치 인식 시스템)

  • With the expansion of the indoor service-providing robot market and the electrification of automobiles, research on autonomous driving is being actively conducted. In general, in the case of outside, the location is mainly recognized through GPS, and location positioning is performed indoors using technologies such as WiFi, UWB (Ultra-Wide Band), VLP, LiDAR, and Vision. In this paper, we introduce a system for location-positioning using LED lights with different color temperatures in an indoor environment. After installing LED lights in a simulated environment such as a tunnel, it was shown that information about the current location can be obtained through the analysis of chromaticity values according to location. Through this, it is expected to be able to obtain information about the location of the vehicle in the tunnel and the movement of the device in a room such as a warehouse or a factory.
