Multi-directionally Movable Lambda Shape Transducer for Ultrasonic Motor (초음파 모터용 람다형 다방향 변환자)

  • The transducer for multi-directionally movable ultrasonic motor having lambda shaped vibrators has been proposed and designed. The two branches cross at a right angle with each other at the tip. FEM analyses of lambda shaped transducer were carried out to find vibration modes for ultrasonic motor. The lambda shaped transducer has one symmetric mode and two anti-symmetric modes. The symmetric mode generates the normal direction motion of the tip. The lateral and vertical direction motion of the tip are excited by two anti-symmetric modes. The normal and lateral direction motions made an lateral elliptic trajectory. And the normal and vertical direction motions made an vertical elliptic trajectory normal to previous one. The transducer with 1 mm in thickness and 25 mm in length has been fabricated and evaluated. The resonance frequencies of the transducer was 32 kHz and 103 kHz. The tangential and vertical vibration displacement of the transducer having the lateral elliptic trajectory were $1.5{\mu}m\;and\;1.1{\mu}m$, respectively at the driving voltage of 100 Vpp and frequency of 32 kHz and 103 kHz. And the tangential and vertical vibration displacement of the transducer having the vertical elliptic trajectory were $0.4{\mu}m\;and\;0.2{\mu}m$, respectively at the same driving condition.

Overproduction and Purification of Ribose-Binding Proteins from the Wild-Type Mutant and Revertant Strains in Escherichia coli (리보스 결합단백질의 대량생산을 위한 야생형 수송결합변이, 복귀변이 유전자의 클로닝과 이들 단백질의 순수정제)

  • Three alleles of rbsB gene, rbsB, rbsB103, and rbsB106 from the wild type, the mutant and the revertant strain, respectively, were cloned for overproduction of proteins under the control of lambda $P_{L}$ promoter. Five different species of precursor and mature ribose-binding proteins were purified to homogeneity using DEAE-Sephadex column chromatography, osmotic shock pocedure, CM-Sephadex column chromatography, and Chromatofocusing column chromaography. pI of the precursor proteins and mature proteins were determined and found to be pH 8.0 and 7.5, respectively. The purified proteins were subjected to amino acid sequencing. The results confirmed the amino acid changes deduced from the DNA sequencing.

  • When a new student, a guest, or a student who first visited a school wants to know information about the school, he / she searches through a smartphone or a tablet. However, if you visit the homepage of the school, you do not know exactly where the information you want to find is located, and you spend a lot of time. In this paper, we develop a school guidance system using Alexa with speech recognition function. Divide the school guidance system into college introduction, major, college activities, and entrance information topics, and fill in the details by topic. In the lambda function of Amazon Web Services, we use Node.js to create information on topics and provide information to users by voice.

  • This paper is a review of accounts balancing time in small distributed power trading platform using blockchain technology. First, the national VPP energy management system using the AMI applied to this study is introduced and then the accounts balancing time and process of the cryptocurrency coin payment which based on the power generation of pro-consumer certified by power big data analysis in a test bed environment is discussed. Futhermore the configuration of a power Big Data analysis system with GPU Fast Big Data that applies MapD to current lambda architecture is also introduced.

  • In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of functional programming in the Scala language. The main issue is to what extent Scala is able to handle major properties of functional programming such as lambda expression, high-order functions, generic types, algebraic data types, and monads. For this purpose, we implement an interpreter of an imperative language. In this implementation, the same functional programming techniques are applied to both Haskell and Scala languages, and then these two versions of implementations are compared and analyzed. The abstract syntax tree of an imperative language is expressed as algebraic data types with generics and enum classes in Scala, and the state transition of imperative languages is implemented by using state monad. Extension and given, new features of Scala, are used as well.

Highly dispersed $Ru/{\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ Catalyst development for selective CO oxidation reaction (선택적 CO 산화반응을 위한 고분산된 $Ru/{\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매개발)

  • 선택적 CO 산화반응(PrOx)을 위한 Ru이 고분산 담지된 $Ru/{\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매를 증착-침전법(deposition-precipitation)으로 제조하였다. 용액의 pH와 aging 시간에 따른 Ru 입자의 크기 변화와 분산도의 영향을 살펴보았으며 함침법(impregnation)으로 비교 촉매를 제조하였다. 촉매의 특성분석은 BET, TPR, CO-Chemisorption분석을 수행하여 촉매의 비표면적, 환원특성, 분산도를 알 수 있었다. 특성분석결과, 증착-침전법으로 제조한 $Ru/{\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매가 함침법으로 제조한 촉매에 비해 분산도가 높았으며, pH별 촉매 제조에서는 pH6.5로 제조한 촉매가 22.06%로 가장 높은 분산도를 보였다. 또한, 담체의 비표면적 영향에 따른 Ru 입자의 분산도를 살펴보기 위해 ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ 담체를 적용한 결과, 비표면적이 작은 ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ 담체 표면에서 Ru 분산도가 ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 담체에 비해 높았다. 이는 기공이 발달하여 비표면적이 넓은 ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 담체는 소량의 Ru을 고분산 담지 시 담체 표면보다는 기공 내에 담지 되는 양이 많아 실제 반응 시 반응에 참여하는 표면 활성 금속양이 적음을 알 수 있다. 특히, 선택적 산화반응과 같이 표면에서 빠른 반응이 일어나는 경우, 기공 내부의 활성금속이 반응에 참여하기 어려워 반응 활성이 낮음을 PrOx 반응실험을 통해 확인할 수 있었다. PrOx test 조건은 GHSV 250000~60000, 온도는 80~200도, 람다값은 2~4로 성능 비교하여 실험 하였다. PrOx의 성능평가 결과 담체를 ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$를 사용하여 deposition-precipitation방법으로 제조한 pH6.5 촉매에서 $100{\sim}160^{\circ}C$에서 90%의 가장 높은 CO conversion을 가지고 18%의 선택도를 가졌다.

  • This paper is an empirical study of chinese consumers' lifestyle by country of origin effect of mobile phone. The data we analyze in this paper was collected and studied in Kim et al. (2006, 2007). We classify the respondents into the four groups according to the responses of country of origin effect of mobile phone. The four groups are group K (preference in made in Korea), group J (preference in made in Japan), group U (preference in made in USA), and group C (preference in made in China). One-way ANOVA and stepwise discriminant analysis are applied to classify the training sample which consists of 89 lifestyle variables and two personnel information. It is observed that group K is more open-minded, out front, aggressive, and self-assertive compared to group C.

Molecular Cloning of nifHD from Rhizobium sp. SNU003 (Rhizobium sp. SNU003의 nifHD 클로닝)

  • Genes for dinitrogenase reductase (nifH) and dinitogenase a subunit (nifD) were found to be located on 7.9 kb of EcoRI, 6.5 kb of Sail, 7.3 kb of HindlII and 4.4 kb of Pstl fragments of the genomic blot of Rhizobium sp. SNU003. a symbiotic strain from root nodule of Canavalia lineata. Nine recombinant phage nif-clones were selected from the genomic library constructed by using EMBL-3 BamHI arms of bacteriophage lambda. Among them. Rnif-6 had insert DNA of 15.3 kb. in which 7.6 kb of BamHI!SacI fragment contained nifHD region. Therefore, the 7.6 kb fragment was subcloned into pUC19 and partial restriction map was constructed. As the results, nifH and nifD were found to be located continuously on 4.5 kb of BamHI/BglIl in the genome of Rhizobium sp. SNU003 strain.

  • The voice recognition technology is to recognize the voice of an user and execute the command. Recently, the voice recognition is evolving to the artificial intelligence voice recognition by adding the scheme of the natural language processing. The AI voice recognition is exploited to control the IoT devices or provide the information, such as the news or the wether. The University Information which is one of fields serviced by the information provider is mainly presented on the web. However, since too much information are presented on the web, it is difficult for an user to find efficiently the specific information which the user want to know. In this paper, we design and implement the university guidance system to recognize the user voice searching the information and provide the result using the voice. To do this, we classify the university data and design the lambda function to provide the data.

  • Recent advances in deep learning technology have improved image recognition performance in the field of computer vision, and serverless computing is emerging as the next generation cloud computing technology for event-based cloud application development and services. Attempts to use deep learning and serverless computing technology to increase the number of real-world image recognition services are increasing. Therefore, this paper describes how to develop an efficient deep learning based image recognition service system using serverless computing technology. The proposed system suggests a method that can serve large neural network model to users at low cost by using AWS Lambda Server based on serverless computing. We also show that we can effectively build a serverless computing system that uses a large neural network model by addressing the shortcomings of AWS Lambda Server, cold start time and capacity limitation. Through experiments, we confirmed that the proposed system, using AWS Lambda Serverless Computing technology, is efficient for servicing large neural network models by solving processing time and capacity limitations as well as cost reduction.
