To examine group differences among four groups divided by asgression/victimization status, 655 4th graders living in Seoul reported their perceptions of peer aggression, peer victimization, personality traits, parent attachment, and their parents' marital conflict. Peers of the subjects also reported their perceptions of peer aggression and peer victimization. Based on the scores of peer aggression and peer victimization, each child was classified into one of the four groups: nonvictimized aggressors, aggressive victims, passive victims, and normative contrasts. For boys, nonvictimized aggressors were more sociable/active than both aggressive and passive victims. Aggressive victims were more shy/emotional than nonvictimized aggressors and normative contrasts, and were exposed to the highest parental marital conflict. For girls, passive victims were the least sociable/active among the four groups, and showed lower attachment to fathers than normative contrasts. Both aggressive and passive victims were more shy/emotional than nonvictimized aggressors and normative contrasts, and normative contrasts were exposed to the lowest parental marital conflict.

The purposes of this study were to examine the influence of the self-identity, parenting style, peer attachment, and relationship with teacher on career identity, and to verify if self- identity shows the moderating effect in the relationship among the parenting style, peer attachment, relationship with teacher, and career identity of middle school students. The data of 3rd-year middle school students, from the 1st grade panel of 'Korea Children And Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS)' by National Youth Policy Institute, was used as the analysis data. The program which was used for the analysis was SPSS ver 22.0 for descriptive, Cronbach's α, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was revealed that the most influential variable for career identity was self identity, followed by peer attachment, while relationship with teacher is least influential. Parenting style did not have a direct effect on career identity. Second, it was revealed that self-identity had a moderating effect when the interaction between parenting style and the self-identity, and the interaction between relationship with teacher and the self-identity were injected. Therefore, if the education related to the self-identity is conducted continuously in the home economics subject, the conflict and anxiety on the career problem of middle school students will be reduced and the career identity will be developed more effectively.

The current study examined the latent mean analysis and path analysis comparison between male and female groups in the structural relationships among parent-child conversation, peer attachment, satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center, ego-resiliency, self-esteem, and career identity in adolescents who attend a community child care center. For this purpose, 438 adolescents who participated in the 4th(2017) questionnaire in the 2nd child panel of the community child care center were used. From the analysis results, first, peer attachment and satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center increased ego-resiliency and career identity, but parent-child conversation did not predict ego-resiliency and career identity. Peer attachment and satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center was fully mediated by ego-resiliency and self-esteem to career identity. Second, in the latent mean analysis, male students showed significantly higher latent mean values in ego-resiliency and self-esteem than female students, while female students showed significantly higher latent mean values in parent-child conversation than male students. Third, multi-group analysis revealed different paths to career identity between the genders. Peer attachment can buffer the effect of ego-resiliency and self-esteem on career identity of male students, but satisfaction in teacher at a community child care center buffers more on the ego-resiliency of female students. The results of this study suggest that social support for enhancing ego-resiliency and self-esteem is needed to encourage career identity, and that gender needs to be considered.
This study aims firstly to examine whether adolescents' life satisfaction influences their fandom activities, then to analyze whether the influences of ego resiliency and peer relations on fandom activities vary by adolescents' life satisfaction and how, if they do, and finally, using multi-group analysis, to identify whether there are gender differences in their fandom activities. The results are as follows: Firstly, as adolescents' life satisfaction is lower, their involvement into fandom activities are increased. Secondly, peer relations and ego resiliency has different relations to fandom activities, that is the former have indirect impact on fandom activities. Ego resiliency has both direct and indirect influence on fandom activities, that is adolescents who have higher ego resiliency participate more actively into fandom activities and this influence is mediated by life satisfaction. Finally, the degree of participation into fandom activities depends of adolescents' gender, that is girls involve in fandom activities more actively. One consistent finding of this study is that fandom activities are negatively related to life satisfaction. The results of this study show that more various programs to enhance life satisfaction, self respect and peer relations of adolescents are necessary to facilitate healthier culture of adolescents.

Most articles of Reactive Attachment Disorder reported Disinhibited Type children adopted from other countries. Reports from only Turkey and Korea focused on Inhibited Type of Reactive Attachment Disorder children whom raised by their own parents and whose symptoms are very similar to Autistic Disorder. Since articles of treatment of Reactive Attachment Disorder, especially for Inhibited Type are very rare, this article informed the author's experiences of treatment for Korean Reactive Attachment Disorder children since 1987. To treat Reactive Attachment Disorder patients and their parents, three important areas must be included : 1) to make a therapeutic environment for a Reactive Attachment Disorder child, 2) to make an attachment between Reactive Attachment Disorder child and his/her mother through individual play therapy, filial therapy, and group therapy with sibling or peer, 3) to catch up developmental delay by speech therapy, cognitive therapy and therapeutic education. This treatment methods can be more easily and more effectively applied to Korean patients than other methods from western countries including USA or England.
This study examined the factors affecting the career identity of high school students. We adopted the ecological systems theory by Bronfenbrenner. The consumer typology approach was applied based on their negative emotions, and they were categorized into two distinct groups: unstable emotion group(n=903) and stable emotion group(n=1,107). We used the panel data of Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey. Data of a total of 2,010 participants were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. In the unstable emotion group, parental supervision, parental excessive expectation, peer communication, peer trust, and teacher attachment significantly influenced career identity. In the stable emotion group, parental supervision, parental abuse, peer communication, and teacher attachment significantly influenced career identity.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the predicting factors on the increase in computer entertainment behavior with the sample from KYPS data. The results of the Decision Tree model revealed that: (1) Neighbor supervision, self-belief, parent attachment, life satisfaction, and peer attachment were significant for the increase in computer entertainment behavior. (2) Neighbor supervision, class participation and leisure satisfaction were significant for male students' increase in computer entertainment behavior. (3) Optimistic disposition, teacher attachment, and peer attachment were significant for female students' increase in computer entertainment behavior. These results suggest that meaningful factors and their divers interactions should be considered in methods and programs for regulating and preventing the increase in computer entertainment behavior.
The purpose of this preliminary study was to investigate the validity of the 'Attachment Q-set' as a measuring tool for 5 years attachment stability. The subjects comprised 18 boys and 15 girls aged 5 in a daycare center in G city, in Kyongnam. The instruments used in this study were 'Attachment Q-set', ASCT, and IPPA-R. Based on experts' rating, the Q-set was modified, reducing it from 90 to 75 items, and used a Likert 5-points scale. ASCT scores as well as types were compared with the scores of the Q-set and IPPA-R. The attachment type was classified into either secure or insecure. The IPPA-R score of the secure infants was significantly higher than the insecure, and correlated with the ASCT score. However, there was no significant correlation between the Q-set score with the attachment types or the ASCT scores. The Q-set scores were partially correlated with the IPPA-R. This results were discussed in terms of the Q-set's invalidity for rating attachment levels of 5 years as well as the limitations imposed by the subjects' restrictive numbers.
This study aimed to investigate the influence of mother's responsive/restrictive parenting and peer attachment on academic stress in school-aged boys and girls. The participants were 493 5th, 6th graders from five elementary schools in Daegu and Gyeongbuk province. The collected data were analyzed through a t-test, multiple regression, hierarchial regression using SPSS Win 19.0. The results are as follows. (1) Level of academic stress of school-aged girls was higher than boys. (2) Responsive parenting of mothers was the most powerful explanation in academic stress of school-aged boys. However restrictive parenting of mothers was the most powerful explanation in academic stress of school-aged girls. (3) In boys, responsive parenting of mothers influenced their academic stress but peer attachment didn't influence the boys academic stress. In girls, responsive parenting of mothers and peer attachment influenced their academic stress, and interaction effects of responsive parenting of mothers and peer attachment on academic stress was observed. (4) Both boys and girls, restrictive parenting of mothers and peer attachment had influences on academic stress. And interaction effects of responsive parenting of mothers and peer attachment on academic stress was not observed.
The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of aggression and its predictors among Korean, Korean-Chinese and Chinese adolescents. The subjects were 529(176 Korean, 168 Korean-Chinese, 185 Chinese) 9th graders from Yanji in China and Korea. Data on aggression, self-concept, attachment to mother, relationship with teachers, and victimization from peers were collected with questionnaires and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression. The results showed that Korean adolescents reported the highest and Chinese adolescents the lowest on aggression. There were gender differences in proactive aggression among Chinese adolescents, and on reactive aggression among Korean adolescents. Among Korean adolescents, no gender difference was revealed. The influences of self-concept, attachment to mother, relationship with teachers, and victimization from peers differed among the groups: While attachment to mother was a significant predictor for Chinese adolescents' aggression, relationship with teachers was a significant predictor for that of Korean-Chinese adolescents', and victimization from peer was a significant predictor for that of Korean adolescents'. The differential influence of race and culture to adolescents' aggression was discussed.
