Hypermedia Tools and Digital Media on English Writing (하이퍼미디어 도구와 디지털 미디어 활용 영어 쓰기)

  • Integrated multimedia education in English language education shifts instructor-orientated education to be more learner-orientated. The goal of this research is to analyze the effects of multimedia such as software, power point, flash animation and video in English language education. Experimental research with student subjects and multimedia in English education were used for this study and divided into the following categories: instructor-focused analysis, student-focused analysis, and response-based analysis. Teacher-focused analysis is comprised of prediction analysis and backward induction methods. This study aims to analyze whether multimedia tools achieves its intended effects, and to describe what sort of effects are achieved by the tools. This research intends to confirm the effectiveness and helpfulness of multimedia tools in school classrooms.

  • With the improvement of the web-technology, web-based cyber education is progressing from the text-based to the hyper-based including multimedia, and from one way of simply giving the contents to the learner to another way of providing mutual interaction between instructors and learners. There are several fields using the dynamic application and multimedia contents. RIA(Rich Internet Application), which. is the new paradigm of the web, provides clients with more effective and rich contents, combining the dynamic application and multimedia contents. With the existing web script language, a lot of time and efforts will be very needed to provide learners with various and rich contents. In this paper, we compare the efforts in developing the RIA based education system with the Non-RIA based education system, then experiment the characteristics of the RIA based education system

디지털 사이니지의 위치기반 서비스 기술의 현황 및 전망

  • 최근 디지털 사이니지 분야는 광고분야의 한정적 매체 특성을 벗어나 첨단 기술과 서비스 콘텐츠를 결합하여 다양한 분야에서 새로운 형태의 매체로 변화하고 있다. 특히, 광고 업계의 침체와 기존 단순 영상 송출의 한계를 증강현실, 동작인식, 다양한 매체간 목적성 연동, 위치기반 맞춤형 서비스 등을 제공하며 융합적, 결합적 서비스 매체로 진화하고 있다. 2000년대 초 디지털 사이니지의 국내 보급은 국외를 포함해서 보급이 매우 빨랐다. 디지털 사이니지는 광고 목적으로 시작됐지만, 외형적 성장 속도에 비해 매체를 통해 제공되는 콘텐츠, 서비스, 운용 기술 및 S/W 개발 등의 질적 성장은 상대적으로 소극적이었다. 그러나 최근 아시아를 중심으로 한류 열풍이 확산되면서 K-POP, 화장품, 의류, 바이오 등 산업을 중심으로 디지털 사이니지의 수요가 증가하는 추세이며, IT와 융복합되면서 교육, 정보 제공, 예술분야에 적극 활용됨에 따라 국내 디지털 사이니지 산업이 새로운 전기를 맞고 있다. 특히, 위치 기반 서비스는 2000년 후반 차량용 네비게이션 시장을 시작으로 현재 스마트폰에 기본으로 장착되면서 이제는 서비스 전분야에 직/간접적으로 활용되는 다양한 기술이 개발되고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같이 디지털 사이니지는 첨단 기술과 결합하여 다양한 형태의 지능적 처리 능력을 이용함으로써 현재 광범위하게 사용되는 위치 기반 기술과 서비스를 결합한 새로운 매체 인프라로 생활 공간에서 급속히 확산되고 있다. 본고에서는 현재 뜨거운 화두가 되고 있는 디지털 사이니지와 위치 기반 기술의 기술 및 시장 현황을 살펴보고, 기술 및 서비스 융복합에 따른 앞으로의 디지털 사이니지 분야와 결합된 위치 기반 서비스의 미래를 전망해 본다.

A study on the exploration of domestic cases about the life-cycle policy related to educational digital contents (교육용 디지털 콘텐츠 수명주기 정책에 대한 국내 사례 탐색 연구)

  • In rapidly changing educational technology and trends, services providing educational digital contents have been focused on offering new contents customized on the state-of-the-art technology and trends, rather than re-evaluating or eliminating the contents on service based on the changed topics and video quality. This study explores domestic cases about educational digital contents in order to draw implications on proper life-cycle models and effective re-evaluation periods for the quality assurance of the contents. To achieve this objective, representative services in primary-secondary, higher, and lifelong education sectors were selected, and experts in the services were participated in focused group interview. Based on the interview results, the re-evaluation process and life-cycle issues in the management of contents were analyzed according to the educational levels and the implications on the life-cycle models were drawn. This study contributes to establishing a basis for the systematic life-cycle policy of the services in order to make more sustainable management of the digital contents.

  • It's desirable to implement the network of school libraries based on the department of city or regional education. The digital library supporting center is an integrated information system implemented by the department of city or regional education for supporting school libraries. Busan Metropolitan Department of Education for the first time implemented a digital library supporting center, supported by digital libraries & the digital library supporting center project proceeded by the Department of Education and KERIS. This study at first is to present basic technologies applied in implementing a digital library supporting center and foreign country cases, and then to introduce information system of Busan Metropolitan Department of Education.

  • The Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development is propelling the establishment's project of school library digital resource room under recognizing school library is essential facility that it is to educate students to become autonomous and creative person, to embodies a 7th curriculum in the knowledge base society. There is a necessity which it will analyze demonstrative operating school library digital resource room for maximize to educational effect and to establish efficiently. Thus, this study is prepares a foundation of school library informationization as analyzes an operational status and an educational effect with 96 school library digital resource room which are established in tool year.

Needs Assessment of Preservice Teachers' AI & Digital Education (예비교사의 AI·디지털 교육 요구분석)

  • This study aimed to analyze the AI and Digital education needs of students at 'C University of Education' for the development of a 'AI and Digital Education' course. To achieve this objective, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) was conducted with 79 fourth-year students from 'C University of Education,' focusing on 18 AI and digital education competencies. The paired sample t-test revealed significant differences between the importance and performance scores for all 18 competencies. Using the Borich needs assessment model, the results indicated that the 'Data Utilization Feedback Competency' had the highest demand. Additionally, applying The Locus for Focus model to prioritize needs, nine competencies were identified as having very high priority, including 'Data Utilization Feedback Competency,' 'Understanding Basic Knowledge Related to AI and Digital ,' and 'Practical Learning Design Based on AI and Digital.' The needs assessment results identified in this study should be actively reflected as foundational data for the development of the 'AI and Digital Education' course.

A Research on the Teaser Video Production Method by Keyframe Extraction Based on YCbCr Color Model (YCbCr 컬러모델 기반의 키프레임 추출을 통한 티저 영상 제작 방법에 대한 연구)

  • Due to the development of online media platforms and the COVID-19 incident, the mass production and consumption of digital video content are rapidly increasing. In order to select digital video content, users grasp it in a short time through thumbnails and teaser videos, and select and watch digital video content that suits them. It is very inconvenient to check all digital video contents produced around the world one by one and manually edit teaser videos for users to choose from. In this paper, keyframes are extracted based on YCbCr color models to automatically generate teaser videos, and keyframes extracted through clustering are optimized. Finally, we present a method of producing a teaser video to help users check digital video content by connecting the finally extracted keyframes.

Preservice teachers' evaluation of artificial intelligence -based math support system: Focusing on TocToc-Math (예비교사의 인공지능 지원시스템에 대한 평가: 똑똑! 수학탐험대를 중심으로)

  • With the advancement of digital technology, a variety of digital materials are being utilized in education. For their appropriate use of digital resources, teachers need to be able to evaluate the quality of digital resource and determine the suitability for teaching. This study explored how preservice teachers evaluate TocToc-Math, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based math support system. Based on an evaluation framework developed through prior research, preservice teachers evaluated TocToc-Math with evidence-based criteria, including content quality, pedagogy, technology use, and mathematics curriculum alignment. The findings shows that preservice teachers positively evaluated TocToc-Math overall. The evaluation tendencies of preservice teachers were classified into three groups, and the specific characteristics of each factor differed depending on the group. Based on the research results, we suggest implications for improving preservice teachers' evaluation abilities regarding the use of digital technology and AI in mathematics education.

  • 교수 학습용 디지털 콘텐츠에서 상호작용은 매우 중요하며 이와 관련된 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 상호작용을 제공하기 위해서는 하위단계의 프로그래밍 및 시스템 설계를 위한 시간적 경제적 비용이 반드시 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 사용자에게 프로그래밍이 요구되지 않는 친숙한 'Pencil & Paper' 방식의 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안 인터페이스에서는 디지털 잉크 인터페이스를 기반으로 교수자가 프레젠테이션 하기 위한 상호작용을 분석한다. 또한 교수자를 대신할 가상 프레젠터의 애니메이션 효과를 적용하여 교수자와 학습자간의 활발한 상호작용을 제공한다. 본 연구의 결과는 온라인 교육이나 전자 책, 지능형 교육 시스템 등 상호작용이 가능한 교육용 컨텐츠 개발에 확대 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
