An Effective Pattern Selection Process for Developing of Pattern Based Software (패턴 기반 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 효과적인 패턴 선정 프로세스)

  • Over the past decade, several types of design pattern have been defined in the software engineering area. But these patterns have not been used so often compared with data structure and algorithm. Likewise, methods to select and apply design patterns during analysis, design, and development are not mentioned in CBD methodologies such as CBD96, RUP, and MaRMI III. This paper suggests the process of effectively selecting design patterns which can be applied to analysis, design, and development for development of application software with based on those offered by GoF and J2EE pattern catalogs. It also demonstrates how to effectively pattern-based software and shows differences and relative advantages from RUP by applying the suggested process to the development of aviation job application.

A Study on the Utilization of SCAMPER in Visual Design Process (시각디자인 과정에서 스캠퍼의 활용에 관한 연구)

  • Creativity is considered very important in the intelligence-based and informationalized society in which changes and competition were premised. This phenomenon has appeared in the entire society and especially in design area, the development of creative design is needed. It is the reason that a designer must have an interest in design expression techniques which can be an assistance to express creative ideas and develop it. Under this circumstance, this study was to explore utilizations of the SCAMPER which is one of most useful techniques for expressing and developing creative ideas. Based on the results of the questionnaire research regarding creative expression techniques and trends in utilization of SCAMPER in visual design process, the study sought new possibility of utilization of SCAMPER. The result of the study showed that checklist of SCAMPER was classified and organized to expression of ideas and every steps of development.

The analysis of design education in "Arts & Life" (현행 고등학교 교과서 "미술과 생활" 의 디자인 교육 내용 분석)

  • Design textbooks for general education bring our attention to the education of design as a part of whole education. In this vein, this thesis tried to analyze and discuss on the current status of design education contents included in the 7th educational curriculum of the Art & Life. This study had a historical review of the contents of arts education as well as a review of theoretical contents in art education. Also this thesis analyzed five types of Art & Life text books currently used at high schools with weight given to the design and to the status of pictorial coverage in the text books. Finally, the thesis presented problems of design education through a comparative analysis of high school arts education and design education. Through the analysis, inequality of design contents in education was reported. It was clearly attributable to the backgrounds of text book writers. For example, authors with graphic design backgrounds tended to lack product and environment design concepts, while hand craft section of text books all showed a biased contents towards traditional Korean arts. In the analysis of pictorial coverage, similar to the composition of academic contents, coverage was concentrated in the graphic design areas; inequality in quantity of pictures found with a ratio of 1 to 4. In terms of areas of arts, design contents in text books were concentrated only in arts creation chapters among the 3 major areas of arts appreciation, understanding, and creation. Design education is attained in an atmosphere of creativity and the provision of ample teaching material. It is because diverse contents will generate the development of arts. When compared to design education curriculum of U.S. and Japan, these creativity put their focus of design education in the understanding and emotional contacts, so that every application is easily attained. In terms of expression learning, creativity and diversity of material are emphasized. From Kindergarten to middle, and high school periods, apparently the care contents of deign is emphasized. A textbook in the 7th education curriculum is one of the sources for education. In designing text books, learning process should be emphasized following subjects and natures of arts so that creativity can be achieved. Therefore, a systematic approach for design research and educational development for material would be needed in textbook design.

  • As a result of the rapid development in the digital content industry, designers have to visualize colors across a range of digital media in a relevant and sophisticated manner. The purpose of this study is to develop a new digital color design education curriculum for enhancing learners' capability of digital color management. This study presents an original university-level color design curriculum for digital color learning that includes traditional color learning. In order to develop interactive pedagogy that provides diverse color experiences to students, this study suggestes a blended learning method that combines face-to-face instruction and web-based instruction. Through two case studies at universities, this paper illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed digital color design curriculum.

Old People′s Usability Testing and Design for the User Interface of Washing Machine (세탁기의 사용자 인터페이스에 대한 노인의 사용편의성 평가 및 디자인 개선에 관한 연구)

  • In order to design a product for old people, it is important to identify usability problems through usability test and solve such problems in design process. So, we performed a study on design evaluation and improvement focusing on washing machine, that is one of the most useful electric home appliances in old people's daily life. Also, we studied the method that the goniometer can be used in usability evaluation for a specific part of product and the result can be used in product design. And, methods for the decision of design concept and direction, the development of design alternatives, design evaluation, model making, and comparison test through human factors theory and experiment were studied. The result can be used as an important data in the development of washing machine for old people and the proposed methodology can be used in other products for old people as well as washing machine.

  • The study as explained above has been progressed as follows: Through the theoretical required for projecting the corporate's exhibition at exposition, the justifiability of this study was recognized. To approach the pavilion of exhibition the importance of marketing communication at the corporate and its forming process were suggested, and the public information of the corporate as a medium of its marketing communication was under-stood. - With regard to the exhibiting event as its method, general constituents and contents of it were closely looked into, and on the exposition, as a kind of corporate's event and a place for the reciprocally exchangeable communication between the corporate and the public, a general study was done. - The importance of identification of the corporate's image for the corporate to participate in an exposition and its analytic method were refined in the stages of 'basic image' and 'serve image', and the general process in which the corporate is processing the image of its own pusiness since its participation in exposition was suggested in terms a model, dividing it into the stages of inspection & analysis and design.

  • The Capstone Design courses in the final academic year of undergraduate engineering education provide students with a realistic design experience in which they can integrate and capitalize on the basic disciplinary material they have learned during their engineering program to synthesize a new product, device or process. The objective of this study is to assess the student satisfaction of Capstone Design courses. This paper briefly describes the history, administration and implementation of the Capstone Design courses in engineering colleges of Korea. It highlights the weaknesses of the Capstone Design courses and suggests improvements. To investigate the student satisfaction questionnaire was surveyed.

뉴미디어 시대 전문대학 디자인 교육 전략과 문제점 연구 - 커뮤니케이션 툴 학습기능을 중심으로 -

  • 본 연구는 전문대학 디자인 교육의 문제를 점검하고, 전문대학만의 차별화 된 디자인 교육을 위한 전략과 방향을 정보화에 기반한 커뮤니케이션 툴 학습기능을 중심으로 찾아보는 것이 목적이다. 연구 방법은 주로 문헌 조사 방법을 사용 했다. 전문대학 디자인 관련 현황과 문제점을 분석하고, 새로운 학습체제의 대안을 제시 했다. 연구에서 도출한 결론은 첫째, 전문대학 디자인 교과과정은 중견 직업인 양성 목적 보다는 4년제 교과과정의 모방이며 둘째, 학과목의 연계성 부족과 과도한 학과목으로 전문성 양성과 거리가 있고 셋째, 정보화와 멀티미디어화 등에 대한 대응력에서 취약하며 넷째, 학교 시설과 교수 인력에 한계가 있다. 이에 인터넷등 네트워크 미디어를 통해 가상학교를 구축, 상호 시너지를 확보하는 전략 전개의 필요성을 제시했다. 결론적으로 본 연구 논문은 전문대학의 현실적 디자인 교육 진단을 근거로, 국가적인 교육 정보화 정책과 세계적인 사이버 교육의 트렌드를 접합하여 현실적인 대안을 제시했다.

  • 우리나라의 니트 산업은 값싼 노동력을 바탕으로 빠르게 성장하는 중국과 같은 개발도상국들의 니트 산업으로 인하여 국내 및 해외 시장에서 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이러한 어려운 시장환경을 극복하기 위해 우리나라 니트 산업은 고품격의 디자인으로써 고부가가치를 생산하는 니트 선진국의 모델로 발전해 나가야 한다는 과제에 당면해 있다. 현재 우리나라 니트제품 생산업체의 디자인과정을 보면 아웃소싱 전략에 따라 기업마다 디자인 개발과정이 다르게 나타나고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 즉, 어떤 경우에는 한 기업 내에서 수행되고, 또 어떤 경우에는 하도급 형태로 jobber에게서 이루어지기도 한다.
