A study on chaos synchronization and secure communication of Chua's circuit with equivalent lossy transmission line (등가손실 전송선로를 가진 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 동기화 및 암호화 통신에 관한 연구)

  • Chua's circuit is a simple electronic network which exhibits a variety of bifurcation and attractors. The circuit consists of two capacitors, an inductor, a linear resistor, and a nonlinear resistor. In this paper, a transmitter and a receiver using two identical Chua's circuits are proposed and synchronizations and secure communication of a lossy equivalent transmission are investigated. Since the synchronization of the lossy equivalent transmission system is impossible by coupled synchronization, theory having both the drive-response and the coupled synchronization is proposed. The proposed method is synthesizing the desired information with the chaos circuit by adding the information signal to the chaos signal in the lossy equivalent transmission system.

  • This study aims at developing the measurement tool of reading motivation using self-determination theory (SDT). SDT is not simply divided into the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. SDT resides along a continuum, with amotivation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation, integrated regulation, intrinsic motivation. SDT addresses the process of internalization of various extrinsic motives. This study analyzed motivation factor of the measurement tool such as MRQ (motivations for reading questionnaire), MRP (motivation to read profile) ERAS (elementary reading attitude survey, RSCS (reading self-concept scale). The study re-classified analysis results based on SDT. Ultimately, this study was proposed measurement tool of reading motivation using SDT has 6 area, 30 items.

The Educational Implementation of e-Learning System Applying the Theory of Motivation - With Focus on "Interest" and the "Self-Determination Theory" (동기 이론이 적용된 e-Learning system의 교육적 실천: 흥미와 SDT를 중심으로)

  • This study examines and measures the enhancement of intrinsic motivation in learners who have been part of the e-Learning system (www.englishbuddy.kr) for elementary-level English learning, developed based on the systematic application of the motivation theory as dictated by 'interest' and 'self-determination' and put into practice at 3,100 private tutoring institutions. According to the survey conducted on 328 learners in the e-Learning system inspired by the motivation theory and on 150 learners in other English programs, the former was found to have stimulated 'interest' and satisfied 'psychological desire' in the learners, leading to the development of 'specific strategies to motivate learners.' The study has clearly identified how learners are better motivated in the e-Learning environment, demonstrating its contributions to advancing e-Learning, building a practical e-Learning system based on a systematic motivation theory defined by 'interest' and 'self-determination,' and applying the system to some 16,000 learners at 3,100 private tutoring institutions.

  • By integrating of intrinsic motivation theory and flow theory, this study sought to investigate the causal linkage among optimal balance of video game player's perceived skill and challenge, flow experience, intrinsic motivation and video game genre usage. A path analysis showed that the different types of video game usage were directly influenced by players' intrinsic motivations, which were also reinforced by players' flow experiences of enjoyment. However, the path model with a multiple group approach provided no strong evidence for gender differences in the relationships between the variables of interest.

The Development of Academic Motivation Among Korean Adolescents (한국 청소년의 학업동기 발달)

  • In this article, a fairly extensive literature review was conducted to depict the current status of academic motivation and its developmental trend among Korean adolescents. The focal factors were perceived competence and autonomy which have been considered as major determinants of academic motivation. Theoretical frameworks adopted were self-efficacy theory, expectancy-value theory, and self-determination theory. Empirical studies conducted in Korean educational settings during the past decade were the target of the literature review. Results of the literature analysis revealed that, in general, there was a decreasing tendency in perceived competence from elementary to middle school which followed by a slight increase after entering high school. Similar trend revealed in the development of autonomous motivation, in that middle and high school students' intrinsic motivation levels were lower than that of the elementary groups. The amotivational tendency was increased as the grade level proceeded toward high school, which requires attention from educators. Discussion was followed in an attempt to provide plausible interpretations for this undesirable current status of Korean adolescents' academic motivation and to suggest implications for possible remedial actions both in pedagogical perspectives and students' well-being.

  • 본 논문에서는 RLCG 전송선로를 가진 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 동기화 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 두 개의 동일한 Chua 회로에 전송 선로를 두어 RLCG 전송로를 구성한 후 송신부와 전송선로 사이는 구동-결합 동기 이론을, 전송선로와 수신부 사이는 결합 동기 이론을 적용한 동기화 방법을 제시하였으며, RLCG 전송 선로를 가진 Chua 회로의 카오스 동기화는 전송 선로의 L과 C 영향에 의한 시간 지연이 있는 일반화된 동기화가 이루어짐을 확인하였다.

  • The main objective of this study is to empirically analyze the relationship among the major variables of viewing motivation, audience satisfaction, and behavioral intention in the esports spectatorship based on the uses and gratification theory. Through the exploratory factor analysis, we have identified major motivation measures of esports. Regression analysis also showed key motivation factors on audience satisfaction and behavioral intention.

  • Drawing on Protection Motivation Theory(PMT), this study attempts to clarify antecedents that influence the intention to protect individuals' privacy on the Internet. Protection motivation forms through individuals' cognitive appeal involving threat and efficacy. Then protection motivation causes privacy behavioral change. Protection motivation factors are established privacy trust and privacy risk, which are related to privacy attitude and belief. This proposed model is empirically analyzed by utilizing structural equation analysis(SEM). According to the result of the empirical analysis, it is founded that almost paths have statistically significant explanatory power except path from efficacy to privacy risk and path from privacy trust to privacy behavioral intention. This study shows powerful evidence of antecedent factors based on protection motivation of individuals' privacy behavioral intention in online environment.

  • Since a smart phone became popular that leads mobile era, we've faced diverse life style changes. Particularly, a mobile messenger which changes communication method from voice and video call to text based multi media messenger, leads new gift-giving culture called mobile voucher gift-giving. Although many researches have validated diverse models about digital voucher, this research utilize the model which divide motivation of gift-giving from three theories: gift-giving motivation theory, technology acceptance model, and consumer value theory. The purpose of this research is not only validate the model but also grouping by giving frequency of samples and validate disparity among groups. In conclusion, there are three groups founded and shows difference motivations.
