A Study on the Behavior of Ambient Hydraulic Cycling Test for 70 MPa Type3 Hydrogen Composite Cylinder (70 MPa용 Type 3 수소 복합용기의 상온수압반복 거동에 관한 연구)

  • The performance of the Type3 hydrogen composite cylinder whose pressure is 70 MPa using hydrostatic cycling test equipment was evaluted in this study. It also includes the finite element method analysis on the performance of the cylinder when the pressure is applied. As a result, cylinder body parts of the Type3 hydrogen composite cylinder, which draws attention with its safe status and the lightness, was ruptured first and the same result has been found out through the finite element method. The dome knuckle and the cylinder body were proved as the weakest parts since the cylinder body parts was expanded under the pressure.

  • This research investigated the hygrothermal effect on the strength of bolt jointed section and moisture contents of composites exposed to hygrothermal environment for composite aircraft radome. The decrease in strength in the test environment is mainly attributed to the change in the material properties of the matrix due to temperature and moisture. The composite specimens were tested in three different environmental conditions: RTD(room temperature and dry), CTD(cold temperature and dry) and ETW(elevated temperature and wet). The failure mode of the bolt jointed composite specimens were studied using tests and finite element analysis. Finite element analysis reasonably predicted the failure load and mode of the joints. A reliability-based design was carried out for the bolt jointed composites of radome.

  • The digestive tract of the black sea bream, Acanthopagrus schlegeli is composed of esophagus, stomach, intestine, anus and four or five pyloric caeca. Pyloric caecum is a blind sac in shape and originated from pyloric portion of the stomach. Relative length of But (RLG), that is length of digestive tract to standard length, is 1.04 (n=10). Histological layer of the digestive tract is composed of serous membrane, muscular layer, undeveloped submucosal layer and mucosal layer. The mucosal folds of the esophagus are regular branched form, Esophageal muscularis mucosae is well-developed. Mucosal epithelial layer is composed of cuboidal or columnar epithelium and mucous secretory cell. Microvilli are absent in the free surface of mucosal epithelium. The mucosal folds of the stomach are regular unbranched form. The stomach has a well-developed muscular layer and muscularis mucosae. Microvilli are present in the free surface of mucosal surface epithelium. The fundic portion of the stomach have a well-developed gastric gland and more numerous secretory granules than the other parts. The mucosal folds of the pyloric caeca and the intestine are irregular branched form, Intestine is divided into the anterior, mid and posterior intestines with length of mucosal folds and histological features, Posterior intestine has a more developed striated border and goblet cells than the other parts. Mid intestine has a more abundant absorptive cells than the other parts in the intestine and pyloric caeca.

Seasonal Variation in Species Composition and Abundance of Fish Assemblages Collected by a Three-side Fyke Net in the Coastal Waters off Gori, Korea (고리 주변해역 삼각망에서 어획된 어류의 종조성과 계절변동)

  • Seasonal variation in species composition and abundance of fish assemblage in the coastal waters off Gori were determined using monthly samples collected by a three-side fyke net in 2006. Of a total of 59 fishes collected, the dominant species were Trachurus japonicus, Mugil cephaIus, Konosirus punctatus, Apogon lineatus, Chelidonichthys spinosus, Ditrema temmincki, Sebastes schlegeli and Apogon semilineatus. These 8 fishes accounted for 92.7% of the total number of individuals collected. The number of fish species, number of individuals, biomass and species diversity indices fluctuated with the seasons. The peak number of fishes occurred in December, whereas biomass of fishes was the highest in March. The number and biomass of fishes were lower in January corresponded with the low temperatures, and the diversity indices were lower in December than in any other month.

  • Korean Utility Helicopter(KUH) is the first korean-developed helicopter. Its first flight was performed in March 2010 and then its development was completed successfully by June 2012. During flight test phase, KUH faced various vibration problems and appropriate vibration-reduction devices were designed and applied to solve the problems. The vibration-reduction devices were applied to main rotor blades, main gear box(MGB) supporting structure, cockpit, cabin and pilot seats to reduce rotor-induced 4/rev vibration. Also, dome-fairing was introduced in order to reduce the tail-shake vibration. This paper shows design technique and flight test results for vibration-reduction devices that have been incorporated into KUH.

Eruptive History of the Ulleungdo-Dokdo Volcanic Group, the East Sea: a Multi-Scale Approach (동해 울릉도-독도 화산그룹 분화사 다중스케일 연구)

  • This paper focuses on introducing the concept of the multi-scale study on the Ulleungdo-Dokdo Volcanic Group in the East Sea and recent new findings from it. Multi-channel seismic reflection data reveals that the major volcanic activities of the Ulleungdo-Dokdo Volcanic Group took place between 5 and 2.5 Ma, which were propagated from Isabu Tablemount on the eastern end to the Ulleung Island on the western end. The terrestrial Ulleung Island was built via 5 stages, which eventually formed a 3 km-wide caldera, named Nari Caldera, and a volcanic dome, named Albong, within the caldera. The Albong and the unit N-1, the earliest phreatomagmatic explosive phase of the Albong volcano, were generated from a new magma injected into the existing phonolitic body. The generally trachyandesitic bulk rock composition of the pumice in unit N-1 and Albong is attributed to the contamination of the new magma by mafic cumulates at the base of the existing phonolitic chamber. The lines of evidence of a new magma injection point toward that Ulleung Island is an active volcano with a live subvolcanic magma plumbing system.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the buckling characteristics of elliptical latticed domes under conservative loading conditions. The latticed domes are usually designed in geometrically spherical shape. For this type of latticed domes, many researchers have researched and even the simplified estimation codes for the buckling load level have been available. However, geometrically elliptical latticed domes have been often constructed, and show different buckling characteristics following with geometrical parameters as rise-to-span ratio and so on. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the general tendency of buckling characteristics of the elliptical latticed domes. In this paper, to find out some buckling characteristics of elliptical latticed domes, height, boundary configuration and gap are used as the shape coefficients. For each model with different parameters, the eigen values and the buckling loads are evaluated.

  • 국립고흥청소년우주체험센터는 2014년 11월에 1,040mm의 반사망원경을 도입할 예정이다. 그 사전 준비로 천체관측소 10m돔에 150mm 굴절망원경과 1K CCD카메라를 설치하고, 이를 통합 제어할 원격관측시스템을 구축하였다. 원격으로 제어가 가능한 이 시스템은, 망원경 구동부, CCD, 돔을 제어할 수 있는 소프트웨어, 각 기기를 원격에서 조정 작동할 수 있는 장비, 기상과 하늘의 실시간 상황 및 망원경의 상태를 확인 할 수 있는 원격 모니터링 카메라 등으로 구성되어 있다. 구축 이후 M67 산개성단과 SA98 표준성 영역을 원격으로 관측하였다. 이를 통해, 관측시에 발생할 수 있는 문제점과 장애요인을 분석하여 보완 개선하였고, 시범관측으로 확보한 자료를 활용하여 관측환경을 정량화하는 중이다. 최우선 과제는 센터가 위치한 내나로도 지역의 시상정보를 검증하고 축적하는 일이다. 센터는 천체관측소에 시상 관측기 설치하여 자료를 축적하고 있다. 이 정보의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해 150mm 굴절망원경으로 얻어진 시상정보와 비교 검증하고자 한다. 또한 이 과정에서 센터 천체관측소에 구축된 망원경으로 관측 가능한 한계등급을 얻을 수 있었고, 표준계 변환작업을 통해 1차와 2차 소광계수를 구해 보았다. 추가적으로 관측 가능한 일수를 지속적으로 기록하여, 계절별, 월별 관측 가능일 수를 조사할 예정이다.

  • The present paper investigates the elasto-plastic buckling of ball-jointed single layer latticed domes considering the connection characteristics. The domes are composed of tubular member elements, ball joints and connectors. To judge yielding of the member, the ends and central part of tubular member elements are assumed as five elasto-plastic springs. Elasto-plastic buckling load can be identified the yielding load of estimated member As a numerical analysis technique, loading incremental method based on the Newton-Raphson method is used. The effects of connection characteristics are investigated by the following points; (1) the length of rigid zone, (2) looseness of screw, (3) diameter of connector Finally, it is emphasized that the connection characteristics as well as the material non-linearity have significant effects upon the buckling toad of domes.

  • The pressure oscillation induced by inhibitor in a solid rocket motor has been investigated by 3D large eddy simulation(LES) and proper orthogonal decomposition(POD). The vortex generation and breakdown at inhibitor are periodically observed between the inhibitor and the nozzle by flow-acoustic coupling mechanism. The excitation of pressure oscillation occurs as the flow impinges on the submerged nozzle head which recirculate in the cavity in rear dome of the motor chamber. The vortex generation frequency is closely related with the shedding frequencies of the detached vorticities at the inhibiter, which fairly compared with the experimental data.
