The school library media specialist is the information manager of school library as well as the teacher who take charge of a study. The basic knowledge of copyright law is needed to supply lawful and safe information service to students and teaching staffs in school. In order for the school library media specialist to have a copyright knowledge, the actual proof research to analyze the copyright recognition degree of school library media specialist is necessary, The survey study measured the recognition degree against copyright of school library media specialists who participate to 2006 school library media specialist 1 class qualification annual study and training process. As a result of the question analysis, the research suggested concretely Improved plans to raise the copyright recognition of school library media specialist.

The study aims to study the user perception and satisfaction on the current church library services in Korea. 100 registered attendees and 10 priests, from three different groups were randomly selected for the survey. Three groups - the one with its own library, another with a community type library, and the other without church library - were compared. A literature review and survey were executed, and the questionnaires of the survey for analysis in this research contained demographic information, usage of church library, mission and function of the church library, library space, librarians, collection, community services of the church library, and perception on the effect of the library's community service on a specific religious activity (evangelism). The analysis revealed that the satisfaction level on church library service was relatively high (3.5 point on average, 5-point Likert scale), even though the frequency of using the church library service was relatively low. The study also found that users perceived the library as a community library or archives of the church, and study rooms and reading rooms as its major functions. It reveals that religious materials were preferred as the church library collection and the service of the church library to its community was perceived as being a effective and positive factor on evangelism. Applying church library service should be considered in order to enhance the understanding on the religion and effective results of evangelism.

Library and information service (LIS) of academic libraries plays an important role in the education and research activities of universities. Such importance of LIS facilitated much research that defines the quality factors constituting LIS and identifies the importance of them. The previous literature, however, has some limitations. The limitations arise from the interrelationship among the quality factors and the perception gap between users and providers on LIS quality factors. Despite the understanding of the interrelationship and the perception gap, LIS studies to deal with both dimesions synthetically are sparse. Therefore, this paper defines the interrelationship among LIS quality factors as a network model, then identifies the perception gap on LIS quality factors by exploiting the analytic network process. As an early stage study, this paper contributes to helping the quality improvement of acedemic LIS by considering the interrelationship among LIS quality factors and the perception gap on the LIS quality factors between LIS users and providers.

The purpose of this study is identify factors influenced of children's library use and management through investigating the use patterns and recognition of children's parents on children's libraries. Questionnaire was used as a research method. Data was collected from the parents who entered library entrance with their child and children on four public libraries. Six factors were identified from four public libraries setting. There were the spatial planning based upon library use patterns, the flexibility and mobile furnishings, the activity area for causing children's Interesting, the guarantee of safety Place for children, the quiet area for emotional stability, and functional place for moving around.

This study attempts to investigate the current stage of collection development process in school libraries based on interviews with 20 teacher-librarians in school libraries. Library Collection is the primary element of a library and collection development is the starting point of librarians' duty. The researchers shed light on such issues as observed in collection development process in school libraries. Through the visits and observations such problems as aging book collections, lack of support of administrators, imbalance in subject distribution are identified.

본 연구는 학교도서관 독서 기반 프로젝트 학습에 대한 학생들의 인식을 탐색하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 중학교 사회 교과 연계 독서 기반 프로젝트 학습을 구안하여 실시하고, 이에 지속해서 참여한 학생 여덟 명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 그 결과 교과연계 독서와 수업 공간으로서의 도서관 등 학교도서관의 프로젝트 학습 전반에 대한 인식을 파악하였다. 이를 바탕으로 학습자의 요구를 반영하여 교과 연계 독서기반 프로젝트 학습의 활성화 방안을 논의하였다.

During the last decade, increasing use of technology that facilitates information access has changed academic library services. The emergence of information commons is one of the key changes. Most previous studies on information commons have focused on its conception and role. Whereas, considering information commons as a spatial service, this study aims to examine the influence of information commons on user traffic patterns within the library and perception of the library. As the information commons grew into main library service space and facility, it is necessary to explore what influences information commons have on the behavior and recognition of users. Two methods were used. First, observation method was used to record traffic pattern and user behavior. Second, twenty undergraduates and twelve graduates were interviewed regarding the use and recognition of the information commons and the library. The results of the study show that the traffic patterns were different between undergraduate students and graduate students; the location and structure of facilities influences their movement and behaviors; and the recognition of information commons tends to affect the perception of the entire library. The findings may help librarians improve and plan for library spaces to meet user demands.

The purpose of this study is to examine the perception of the automated cataloging systems in academic libraries. For the purpose, the developing process and problems of automated cataloging systems were examined. The focus was on investigation of recognition of cataloging librarians and system developers. The result of this study is expected to analyze needs of cataloging librarians and overcome gaps with users and developers.

This study set out to analyze donation cases at public libraries, to propose plans to overcome their limitations of deficient operation budgets, and to vitalize donations at libraries. The investigator conducted a survey on the perceptions of donation activities at public libraries with a group of staff members in charge at public libraries that participated in the distribution project of books donated by publishers led by the Korean Library Association. In addition to the outcomes of project participation, the study also examined and analyzed the perceptions of in-house donation activities at public libraries in 2016. Furthermore, it looked into previous studies and cases of library donations home and abroad, identifying limitations and improvement measures of donation activities at public libraries and proposing plans to overcome them.

This study analyzed library awareness and anxiety among people in their 20s living in East Asia. The objective is to develop the international library cooperation agenda for life-long education proliferation. User groups in Korea, China, and Japan were investigated to understand the differences in library awareness based on the situational contexts such as preferred resources, use frequency, educational level, and gender. Results of the data analysis showed the correlation between library anxiety and use patterns such as preferred information sources and frequency of use. Specifically, the user group in China has the highest level of library anxiety with every factor. Also, the Korean user group was measured to have the lowest level of library anxiety in terms of digital information factor. Based on these results, the study presents several recommendations for resolving library anxiety such as embracing new information need with regard to environmental change and suggesting a new space policy for libraries.
