Evaluation on the Horizontal Alignment of Road Centerline using GIS Programming (GIS 프로그래밍을 이용한 도로중심선 평면선형 평가)

  • The horizontal alignment of road is deeply related with the stability of the road and traffic capacity. It is necessary to analyze horizontal alignment of road accurately for efficient maintenance of the road and relevance judgment about the standard. Recently the study on horizontal alignment of road using Lidar data and GPS was concluded, but they were many problem analyzing horizontal alignment radius of curvature in wide area. In this study, the tool which the radius of curvature can evaluate the suitability about "Rules about the Road Structure & Facilities Standards" by using center lines of the road of the digital map tries to implement on GIS. The interface was designed and implemented which can automatically estimate the Road Centerline Horizontal Alignment by using $ESRI^{(R)}$ $ArcObject^{TM}$.

  • 국지성 호우의 증가로 인해 도시 지역의 내수침수피해가 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 특히 배수의 흐름이 집중되는 저지대 지역과 노후화된 하수관거가 설치된 지역에서 특히 피해가 집중되고 있으며, 이는 도로 측면에 설치된 빗물받이와 같은 하수시설에서 원활하게 배수가 되지 않기 때문에 강우 발생시 도로표면에 노면수가 정체되어 피해가 발생하고 있다. 과거 도로 노면의 형상과 강우의 임계 지속시간을 고려한 적정 우수 유출량 산정에 관한 연구가 진행된 바 있으나, 현재 발생하는 국지성 호우의 형태나 강우강도의 변화에 따른 유출량의 변화가 발생하였으며, 도달시간 산정식에 따른 매개변수의 차이와 새로운 도달시간 산정식의 개발로 도달시간의 결과가 크게 차이가 날 수 있다. 따라서 도로의 침수피해를 막고 교통 안정을 유지하기 위해서는 도로 조건을 고려한 도로 입구 및 하수관의 적절한 설계 등 다양한 연구가 주기적으로 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 강우 유출 모델인 SWMM 모형과 계산식을 이용하여 도로 표면의 폭과 길이, 도로 종횡단의 변화량, 재 산정한 강우강도에 따른 유출량을 계산하였다. 도로 표면의 폭과 길이, 경사를 다양하게 입력하였으며, 또한 각 Case에 따라 최대 유출량을 생성하는 임계지속기간을 결정하고 다양한 도달시간 산정식의 결과와 비교하여 상관관계를 분석하였다. 분석결과 도달시간은 산정식의 매개변수에 따라 차이가 발생하였으며, 도로표면의 길이와 횡단경사에 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었으며, 횡단경사보다 종단경사가 클 경우 도달시간이 길어져 유량의 집중을 막는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Carbon emissions in construction stage is very high because lots of construction machines and materials are required to be used at a road construction stage. Many researcher carried out application of carbon emissions estimation methodology during the life cycle of road infrastructure in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the road sector. But the calculation of carbon emissions is difficult because data collection is difficult and calculation procedure is complex. In this study, a basic unit of carbon emissions in construction stage of the road infrastructure was developed in order to get the quantitative determination of carbon that occurs. Carbon emissions of the expressway and common state road was calculated by using the basic unit of carbon emissions and application plan of basic unit of carbon emissions are presented.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of road safety features by spatial scope Spot & Section-based safety Improvement project. Empirical data was collected from black-spot study of Jeonbuk and "Traffic Safety Improvement Project on National Highway 17". Evaluation model of effectiveness was developed by using Empirical Bayes (EB) method. And Relative Effectiveness was measured by Odds Ratio. The result indicates that Section-based safety improvement was $7.09{\sim}77.27%$ more effective than the spot-based. It means that section-based improvement projects should be expanded while considering the characteristics of the section in spot based improvement.

  • A road is a fundammental public traffic facility for transporting people and goods. Road designer should determine the best route considering various conditions to minimize environmental bad effect due to road construction and show road functions sufficiently. In this research, we tried to select the optimal route location by comparing candidate routes considering weights of various items such as land use, slope, aspect, land price and so forth. The candidate routes were analyzed and visualized from built data using a GIS software and then compared with the existing route.

  • This paper deals with the building of road facility management system lot the efficient and scientific management of road infrastructure by making use of Database with a variety of biridge and tunnel - related informations such as maps, registers and documents(graphical and nongraphical data). The main objectives of the creating of the Database are the rational maintenance planning for facilities and the systematization of information management through the fast updating, mending and supplement. Some actual data sourced from the administrative office could be tested in order to validate this road facility management system and we could acquire many valuable results. Therefore we can expect to play an important role of results in the practical use for the management of the various md facilities.

  • Level of Service(LOS) is classified A through F in highway system (KHCM), usually using LOS C in express way and D in national road. (LOS C denotes 75% of capacity) Meanwhile in Railroad System, there is no clearly defined LOS, and the daily demand in infra-structure planning has been used. It is very important that LOS provides consequently a consensus of opinion between users and operators because there is a close relation between user demand and level of services. Considering this, there should exist clearly defined Level of Services in Railroad System Planning so that demand can be predicted precisely.

  • 차량측량시스템이란 차량에 2대 이상의 CCD 카메라와 위치측정장비(GPS, IMU 등)를 장치하고 도로를 운행하면서 일정한 간격으로 주변의 사진을 연속으로 촬영한 후 이를 이용하여 도로 및 도로시설물의 위치와 크기, 보존상태 등의 정보를 취득하는 새로운 측량 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 대상물의 3차원 위치결정을 위해 필요한 자료와 자료를 처리하는 각 단계를 체계화하였으며, 사용 편의성과 위치결정정확성을 높일 수 있는 차량측량시스템을 위한 수치사진측량 프로그램을 개발하였다.

Distribution Aspects of the wintering Red-crowned Crane and White-naped Crane according to the Anthropogenic Factors in the Cheorwon, Korea (철원지역에서 월동하는 두루미와 재두루미의 인위적 요인에 의한 분포양상)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the impact of the anthropogenic factors affecting distribution of the Red-crowned Crane and White-naped Crane wintering in Cheorwon, Korea. Especially, it was investigated that the impact power and its range of the anthropogenic effect to the feeding flock density in cranes due to the paved road, residential area, military facilities and greenhouse density. The Red-crowned Crane and the White-naped Crane showed the similar preference and sensitivity against anthropogenic factors, because correlation of feeding flock density of the Red-crowned Crane and White-naped Crane was similar in the same site. The feeding flock density of the cranes near the residential area was lower than that of area far from the area, and tended to increase within 2.5 km distance. The increasing tendencies of feeding flock density from military facilities and high traffic volume road were similar, but the density in military facilities increased within 0.8 km, and the density from high traffic volume road increased within 2 km. This results suggested that military facilities and the road with high traffic volume made significant influence on foraging densities to the certain range. As the distance from the road with low traffic volume increased, feeding flock density tended to decrease. The area near the low traffic volume road had high feeding flock density because remaining rice grains were preserved by intermittent disturbances in that area. If the density of greenhouse is lower than $40/km^2$, feeding flock density in the low greenhouses density area was higher than high greenhouses density area. However, there was no difference in the feeding flock density if the density of the green houses is higher than $40/km^2$.

A Study on the Properties comparison of the PVC Net and Expanded Metal Using Rockfall Protection Net Pullout Test Equipment (낙석방지망 인발시험을 이용한 PVC망과 Expanded Metal 특성비교에 관한 연구)

  • The governmental investment to SOC facilities currently has increasedthe construction of new roads and the consistent extension of already-existing roads or the line-shape revision of those roads. As a result, the road cut slopes have been increasingrapidly. Unfortunately, human-life damages and property damages frequently occur due to the rockfall and the landslide every year. To reduce those damages, many studies have been performed. The present regulation regarding rockfall protection facilities follows the "Guide for Installation and Management of Road Safety Facilities" issued by MLTM (the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs) that indicates the standard size of facilities and energy absorbing efficiencies. Most domestic road slopes use standardized rockfall protection facilities based on the regulation. However, there have been doubted about the effectiveness of rockfall protection facilities and the damages caused by rockfalls havebeen increasedevery year. Thus, it seems that relevant studies are necessary on the rockfall protection net being capable of supporting rockfall energies. Accordingly, this study reviews previous literature to investigate the function and the feature of rockfall protection nets and analyzetheir limitations by each type. After that, by using the pullout test device for a rockfall protection net, an experiment on the PVC coating net and the expanded metal is performed under the exact same condition. Finally, the features of the Expended metal is explained with the comparison analysises of load-variation and the confirmation of damaged forms. As a result, there have been founded the problemsof net breaking down and not being able to support due to PVC coating net's material property of disintegration. On the other hand, the Expanded Metal might be expected as a substituteof rockfall protection net according to its capability of support and integration.
