The purpose of this study was to compare the health promoting behaviors between nursing students and general college students. The participants were 210 students(100 nursing students, 110 general college students). Data were collected by self-reported questionnaires and analyzed by SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. There were not significant differences between two groups in the health promoting behaviors(t=-0.489, p=625). But, significant differences were found in sub-categories of health promoting behaviors according to gender, taking health-related lectures, smoking, and perceived health status. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and intervene various health education programs in order to promote the health of university students in cooperation with universities and local community health organizations.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sexual knowledge or sexual attitudes and reproductive health promotion behaviors of undergraduate students, and to analyze the effects of sexual knowledge on reproductive health promotion behaviors. The research method was a descriptive research study. The subjects were 357 university students with 4 year university students. The research tools used structured questionnaires to measure sexual knowledge, sexual attitudes, and reproductive health promoting behaviors. As a result of the research, first, sexual knowledge of students showed a significant positive correlation with reproductive health promotion behaviors, and there was no relationship between sexual behavior and reproductive health promotion behaviors. Second, sexual knowledge of students had a significant effect on reproductive health promoting behaviors and explained 12.0%. In conclusion, it is suggested that the systematic and practical education program should be developed and applied through university curriculum in order to improve the practice of reproductive health promotion behavior of undergraduate students.

A descriptive research design was used, and 252 subjects were recruited from an university in Seoul. Data were collected from August to November, 2018. As result, health promoting lifestyle differed significantly depending on gender and perceived health status. Hygiene behavior were significantly influenced by major, health promoting lifestyle, and health beliefs about emerging infectious disease. In providing health-related education to college students, it is necessary to include content that can establish health beliefs about emerging infectious disease, and to develop a program that comprehensively deals with hygiene activities that can prevent these diseases.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the mediating effect of mental health on the relationship between health promotion lifestyle and subjective well-being of college students. This study is a exploratory study to examine the health perception, health knowledge and health promotion behavior of university students, and relations among the factors. The subjects for this study were 235 university students at D metropolitan city and J province. Data were collected from September 1 to October 30, 2014 using self-report questionnaires which was changed to match the Korean tool. Data analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearsons correlation and multiple regression using the IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The mean level of health perception was $3.29({\pm}0.53)$, the mean level of health knowledge was $7.55({\pm}1.67)$ and the mean level of health promotion behavior was $2.88({\pm}1.67)$. Health promotion behavior showed strong and positive correlation with health perception(0.65), health knowledge(0.29), subjective health status(0.24) which was statistically significant. The factors affecting health promotion behavior were gender, health preception and health information. R2 showed 55%.
This is a descriptive research study aimed to investigate the relationship between health promoting behaviors, and some factors such as family function, health perception, and self - efficacy of nursing college students and identify the factors affecting health promoting behaviors. Results showed that family function, health perception, and self - efficacy were correlated with health promoting behaviors. Regression analysis showed that family function, health perception, and self - efficacy seemed to explain 37.7% of health promoting behaviors. Thus, as family function, health perception, and self-efficacy are important factors that affect health promoting behaviors of nursing college students, it is necessary to develop a health education program considering family function, health perception, and self-efficacy to promote desirable health promoting behaviors. In the follow-up study, it is necessary to expand the study subjects and the results of such studies should be applied to the development of programs aimed at promoting the health of nursing college students, and further studies should be conducted to verify the effectiveness of those programs.
This study aims to understand the relationship between self-management and health promoting lifestyle in college students participating in sports activities and to seek a measure to enhance their health promoting lifestyle. In order to analyze the impact of self-management and health promoting lifestyle in the college students participating in sports activities, correlation analysis and regression analysis methods were used. The findings obtained through the research results are summarized as follows: First, it turned out that, in order to promote college students' health promoting lifestyle, it would be important to develop a customized activity program considering the difference in the level of the participants' health information at the time when the sports activity program is organized. Second, it turned out that it would be important to provide empirical basic activity data that could maximize the cooperative action and synergy effect between the self-management and health promoting lifestyle of college students participating in sports activities.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between stress symptoms and health-promoting behaviors (HPB) among two residence groups of university students. Data were collected by questionnaires from 313 students living in a dormitory and 281 students not living in a dormitory. Data were collected from October 21 to November 20, 2015. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Dormitory residents presented higher HPB scores among both genders. For dormitory residents, smoking and drinking affected the HPB, and for non-dormitory residents, scholastic achievement and health status affected the HPB significantly. HPB had significantly negative correlations with depression, anxiety, and anger for dormitory residents and with cognitive disorganization, depression, and anger for non-dormitory residents. The results of multiple regression analysis show that the significant factors for dormitory students in order of importance were depression, anger, and anxiety, and the variance was 67%. For non-dormitory students, the significant factors were depression and anger with a variance of 63%. The results suggest that it is necessary to develop a suitable HPB program for university students.
