This study examined the factors influencingthe adaptation to university life of nursing students. Data were collected from 235 nursing students in three nursing schools in B and C city from November 15 to December 10, 2016, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Correlations were found between adaptation to university life and life stress (r=-0.657, p<0.001) and between ego-resilience (r=0.455, p<0.001) and spiritual well-being (${\beta}=0.210$, p=0.025)(r=0.494, p<0.001). The adaptation to university life in participants showed a significant correlation between life stress (r=-0.657, p<0.001), ego-resilience (r=0.455, p<0.001), and spiritual well-being (r=0.494, p<0.001). The significant factors influencing the adaptation to university life were life stress (${\beta}=-0.418$, p<0.001), health status(${\beta}=0.213$ p<0.001), spiritual well-being (${\beta}=0.210$, p=0.025), satisfaction with major (${\beta}=0.146$, p=0.003), and ego-resilience (${\beta}=0.109$, p<0.001); these factors explained 56.5% of the variance. The findings suggest that adequate educational strategies are needed to reduce the life stress and increase health status, spiritual well-being, satisfaction on major, and ego-resilience in nursing students to promote their adaptation to university life.
The purpose of this study is to develop and propose a tool for accurately diagnosing factors influencing academic activities in Christian University. The first, the evaluation area is composed of factors that influence the academic life of students. Then, by developing a tool to diagnose the status in that areas, it is intended to provide a basis for providing appropriate help for students to adjust to university life. This tool composed items through prior research and developed a draft of tool through Delphi research. The draft tool was verified for reliability and validity by analyzing the response values of 182 freshmen at K University. As a result of the analysis, the reliability showed high reliability of .869~.955 for each diagnosis area. In conclusion, through the results of EFA and CFA, a final diagnostic tool was developed and suggested.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among bullying, ego-resilience, perceived stress and adaptation on college in nursing students. A total of 212 students from 1-4 grade in one nursing college were recruited into the study. The data were collected using questionnaire about bullying, ego-resilience, perceived stress and adaptation and were analyzed with PASW Statistics 18.0 program. Bullying and perceived stress had a significant negative association with nursing college adaptation(r=-.261, p<.001; r=-.261, p<.001) and nursing college adaptation was positively correlated with ego-resilience(r=.337, p<.001). The significant predictors of nursing college adaptation were grade(${\beta}$=-.216, p=.003), satisfaction with major(${\beta}$=-.245, p<.001), the latest semester grade(${\beta}$=.210, p=.028) and ego-resilience (${\beta}$=.324, p<.001), explaining 29.1% of the variance in nursing college adaptation(F=9.691, p<.001). According to the results, ego-resilience could be a key factor to improve college adaptation and bullying and perceived stress were associated with adaptation. Therefore many trials have to be need for enhancing college adaptation in a multiple and convergent way and it is suggested that the program to strengthen college adaptation should be developed.
The purpose of this study is, targeting 88 students in the department of English education for Children, D University, to examine the relationships between self-esteem, major satisfaction, career identity, and university life adjustment. A survey was performed, and collected questionnaires were analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 22 using reliability analysis, factorial analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, variance analysis, correlation and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, self-esteem, career identity, major satisfaction and career identity had high correlations with university life adjustment, in order. Self-esteem (${\beta}=.664$, p=.000) and major satisfaction(${\beta}=.349$, p=.000) influenced university life adjustment. In order to raise the university life adjustment ability of students in the department of English education for children, it is needed to develop systematic and specific programs for improving self-esteem and major satisfaction.
To find out self elasticity of student of dental hygienic, how self elasticity influences life adaptation of college and study satisfaction. To structure analysis the effects that is given from self-elasticity of student of dental hygienic influences life adaptation of college and study satisfaction, from 2013/10/1 to 2013/10/31 due to convenience sampling, 369 students in grade 1,2,3 in Daegu Gyeongbuk were conducted a survey. The sub factors of self elasticity and study satisfaction and correlation of university life adjustment have the highest relevance to optimistic attitude and life adaptation of college. The higher self elasticity, the higher study satisfaction and the higher self elasticity and study satisfaction, the higher life adaptation of college. self elasticity increase the study satisfaction of students, improve adaptation(p<0.001). Therefore to promote the life adaptation of college, the effort and attention to reinforce the abilities of regulation of self elasticity that are an improvement of personal relation, goal setting, anger control and motivation. On this wise, development and management of suitable continuous and gradational educational programs are needed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate relations among the social support, self-esteem, and college life adjustment among college students participating in convergence leisure sports activities. Selected to attain the purpose were 300 college students that took a course on leisure sports at universities in Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, and Jeolla-do Provinces. After excluding 59 questionnaires that seemed to contain insincere answers from total 300 questionnaires, 241 were used in analysis as final valid samples. They were analyzed in frequency, reliability, and correlation analysis with the PASW Ver. 18.0 program and then confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling analysis with the AMOS 18.0 program. The findings were as follows: First, support from family and support from others among the subfactors of social support had positive effects on positive ego, one of the subfactors of self-esteem, and negative ones on negative ego. Secondly, positive ego, one of the subfactors of self-esteem, turned out to have positive impacts on academic adjustment and school life adjustment, two of the subfactors of college life adjustment, whereas negative ego had negative impacts on academic adjustment and school life adjustment.

This study examined the factors affecting clinical practice adaptation to provide basic data for the improvement of clinical practice adaptation for the first year of clinical practice. The subjects were 153 nursing students and medical students in G-do. Data were collected from April 1 to April 30, 2019, and analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. The mean of college adjustment, character, interpersonal competence, communicative competence, and clinical practice adaptation was 3.37 points, 3.82, 3.61, 3.56, and 3.54, respectively. Clinical practice adaptation was related to college adjustment, character, interpersonal competence, and communicative competence (p<.001). The most influential factor in clinical practice was interpersonal competence (β=.502, p<.001), followed by department adaptation (β=-.215, p<.001) and college adjustment (β=.174, p=.010), respectively. The explanatory power was 41.1% (F=34.11, p<.001). Therefore, a way to improve interpersonal competence is needed to advance clinical practice adaptation. In the character building program for adjustment to college life, systematic education is needed, including the opportunity to think about and understand oneself, continuous meeting to understand and accept others. In addition, repeated communication training to improve interpersonal competence is needed.

Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlational coefficients and multiple regression with SPSS WIN v 20.0. Result: The mean scores of ego-identity ($3.53{\pm}48$), social problem-solving ability ($3.41{\pm}.42$), and college life adjustment ($5.27{\pm}.91$) were above average. College life adjustment was significantly different according to ego-identity, academic performance, and perceived health state. Ego-identity, academic performance, and perceived health state were influencing factors of college life adjustment (53.2%). Conclusion: It is necessary to develop an education program to improve ego-identity, academic performance, and perceived health state to help nursing students to adjust to their college life more effectively.
