The Study on Korean Culture Education through The Musical (뮤지컬 <스웨그 에이지: 외쳐, 조선!>을 활용한 한국어 문화 교육 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the significance of musicals and find a way to utilize them in Korean language culture classes for foreigners. Korean language education aims to improve communication skills, and cultural education is necessary to help students understand not only the language but also the social background and context of the language. Accordingly, the author of this study has put together a lesson plan for Korean culture incorporating musicals, a topic that has been heretofore disregarded in Korean language education. Musicals are an appealing art medium for Korean language learners, as they provide striking visuals centered around distinct narrative structures and music. The musical "Swag Age: Shout out Joseon!," which this study focuses on, provides particularly suitable content, as it deals with social issues that are relevant even in contemporary Korean society and includes sijo (poetry), which can be used to teach traditional Korean literature. Based on the above characteristics, the author of this study outlines a Korean culture lesson plan teaching sijo through the musical "Swag Age: Shout out Joseon!" The class will be for learners of intermediate level and above, and consists of 4 sessions: 1) Understanding the overall plot of the musical, 2) Learning about Korean sijo, 3) Writing sijo based on your own life, and 4) Presenting your own sijo. This culture class is significant in that it goes beyond simply learning about sijo and enables students to internalize the meaning of and actively enjoy sijo by writing their own versions. In addition, it is expected to be a compelling class that, on top of its educational value, introduces and allows students to experience a wider range of Korean popular culture by adding the musical genre to the common repertoire of movies, dramas, plays, and pop songs often covered in Korean culture classes.

  • Xavier Dolan delves into maternal instinct and sexual identity and the attempt and experiment of his movies are not difficult to understand and not unfamiliar. He communicates with audience through pastiche and self-reflexivity, rather than disassembling and destruction of style and form of existing films. Pastiche is the intertextuality between familiar genres such as film, poem, fashion, music, painting, etc. His films shows the characteristics of postmodernism, which include genre over, de-subjectivity, interest in public culture, and representation of nostalgia. This study recognizes anew the present of postmodernism gradually going out of fashion and analyzes the characteristics of postmodernism and repeated motif in his movies. This study also analyzes Xavier Dolan's interest in social minority and allegorian characteristics through characters appearing in his movies.

A Comparative Study on New Words of Korean and Chinese According to Changes in Popular Culture Contents (대중문화 콘텐츠 변화에 따른 한중 신조어 비교 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze new words in Korean and Chinese based on changes in popular culture. As China and Korea embrace increasingly close communication in recent years, their languages have influenced each other. A lot of new Korean and Chinese words have been discovered to have the same linguistic characteristics. New words are considered as new developments of a language. They are welcomed and widely used by young people in Korea and China. Therefore, in terms of the communicative function of languages, it is worthwhile to understand new words in Korean and Chinese from the perspective of academic research. This study takes Chinese words created in 2018 as the research object. Firstly, a morphological and semantic comparison of Chinese words created in 2018 and those created in 2017 is carried out to extract the characteristic indicators of Chinese words created in 2018, with emphasis on compound words, abbreviations, substitutions, patters and rhetorical expressions. Secondly, the similarities and differences of these Chinese words with Korean words created in 2018 in terms of morphology are analyzed. Finally, after conducting sample classification and comparison, the characteristics of new Chinese and Korean words and the interaction mechanism under mutual influence are concluded. According to the study, the majority of the new words are created on the basis of existing words. Thus, it is important to explore the morphology of new words as a standard language.

  • 지금, 세계는 바야흐로 'Social Network Service(이하 SNS)의 시대' 이다. SNS란 '일련의 관계에 의해 모인 사람들 간의 관계망을 특정 체계를 통해 대중에게 제공하는 것' 이라고 할 수 있다. 과거 향우회, 동문회처럼 오프라인에서 존재했던 이러한 관계망이 온라인으로 도입된 것이 현재 SNS라고 일컫는 서비스이다. SNS가 큰 인기를 끌고 정보 사회가 발전함에 따라 SNS의 서비스와 형태도 점차 다양해져 왔다. 특히나 그림 영상 등의 시각적인 요소를 사용한 의사소통과 정보의 공유가 과거 그 어떤 매체보다도 손쉽고 빠르게 이루어지고 있다. 인간의 거의 모든 문화 사회적 활동에 컴퓨터가 기반이 됨으로써, 우리는 점차 텍스트, 사진, 영화, 음악, 가상환경 등과 같은 문화 데이터와 더욱 밀접한 관계에 놓이게 되었으며 이것은 SNS에서도 예외가 아니다. 우리는 더 이상 컴퓨터를 마주하는 것이 아니라 디지털 형식으로 기호화된 문화와 마주하고 있으며, 그 중심에는 시각적인 요소들, 즉 '이미지'가 있다. 이러한 점에 착안하여 본 연구는 'SNS'와 그 이미지들의 특성에 대한 이해를 선행한 뒤, 최근 국내에서 가장 활발한 성장세를 나타내고 있는 SNS인 미투데이 페이스북 이상의 두 서비스의 사례를 분석할 것이다. SNS의 이미지의 정체성, 이미지 표현의 특징과 양상이 어떠한지를 분석하고 SNS에서 사용되는 이미지와 그 의미를 보다 심층적인 관점에서 이해해 보는 것은 SNS를 중심으로 형성되어 있는 관련 업계와 학계에 유의미한 내용을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Recently, the necessity and interest to improve the tourism preparedness for enhancing the quality of foreign tourists is increasing, but the related research is insufficient. The purpose of this study is to identify the preferential improvement elements related to the tourism preparedness of foreign tourists. To do this, we applied the R-IPA analysis to analyze and compare the elements affecting the tourist preparedness according to tourist type and time period. As a result of R-IPA analysis for all tourists, the elements that need to maintain the current quality levels were food, security, transit, shopping, and tourist attractiveness and the elements that need to be improved but low priority were language communication, travel expenses, and tourist information service. As a result of R-IPA analysis by tourist type, for individual tourists it is necessary to maintain current quality levels of transit, food, shopping, tourist attractiveness, and security. For group tourists, it is necessary to maintain current quality levels of accommodation, shopping, tourist attractiveness, and tourist information service, but food needs to be urgent improvement.

  • The purpose of this study is to find ways to build a desirable risk governance to respond to these uncertainties like such as increased risk due to the rapid development of modern science and technology in S. Korea. This study is about model of risk communication with scientific technology for additional construction of nuclear power plants. This study analyzed risk communication with scientific technology through new explanatory models between approval opinions of scientific professional group and opposition opinions of the public with Kori nuclear power plant of S. Korea. And then This study investigated related system for policy promotion in the field of nuclear energy of the current S. Korea. Consequently, Governance to strengthen the negotiations on nuclear technology at the time of the interaction in risk communication have been identified and the future of policy direction of the Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plant was detected.

  • This study is to exhibit the iconographic narrative and visual culture of ancient Chinese art. The focus of the study is the composite integration of literature and graphic forms, in particular the heterochronous expression of different scenarios of scenes occurring in different time periods in pictures of ancient art. The unity of their origins with picture narration and comic art creation is the fusion of our modern times. The ancient Chinese understanding of visual art includes the traditional style of images and their symbolic meanings. Among artistic narrative expression, imagery contemplation and visual presentation have significance. Artistic thinking is inseparable from visual articulation. It is a rational thought process through creative language interpretation in visual media of imagery narratives. The characteristics of ancient imagery thinking and the way of presenting sequential incidents in the form pictures is a creative space of time. This is the spatial thinking of modern comic art, which is demonstrated through acceptance in artistic styles. Image narration needs new forms and media styles, including integrating with cultural values as aesthetic communication is necessary.

  • In animation, 'laughter' is an important factor for the fun. Dreamworks' animation is a successful popular animation. It has four series and spin-off animations, and settled as a successful case that created fun with strategic use of parody throughout the productions. Most preceding studies on this animation have focused on its humor, parody, and satire. However, not many studies have discussed its independent comedy as a piece of animation that satisfies the needs of public. This study considered that viewers' desire to watch an animation comes from their fantasies to discuss the comedy of based on its animated characters. Animated characters communicate with the public with wits that ignore the rules of reality. The characters that do not exist in reality are created and animated to turn the world of reality upside down. The comedy in comes from the entertaining deformation of the society's fixed ideas and prejudices. It is a fun variation of the ideology behind fairy tales created by the Disney animations to challenge Disney in the animation market in reality, and twisted the world of fairy tales in the story to quench the thirst of the public. 'Shrek', a monstrous character, stands in the center of the story. A monstrous character that always played an anti-role has become the main character to break the rule of fairy tales. This is the subjectivation of anti-character. Second, it is a new anti-character with an exaggerated and distorted body. Lord Farquad, who looks abject compared to the monstrous character for a person with so much power and ambition, brings laughter. Third, it is the variation of various characters from fairy tales. The conventional fairy tale characters, both animals and non-living things, come out of the box and appear as humorous characters that bring life to the story. uses comedy characters in the process of reinterpreting the fixed ideas, prejudices, and ideologies of the real world created by fairy tales. I hope that it helps Korean animations establish a successful format for creating characters that bring life to the stories.

  • '공포의 값비싼 대가(The High Cost of Fear)'는 공개된 자료 중 동료 평가를 마친 최신의 자료와 간단한 계산 방법을 통해 한국의 탈원전 정책이 가져올 경제적, 환경적 영향을 분석한 보고서이다. 우리는 탈원전 정책이 다음과 같은 영향을 미칠 것으로 예측한다. ${\cdot}$천연가스 구매에만 최소 매년 100억 달러의 비용이 들 것이다. 이는 한국 평균임금인 연소득 29,125달러를 받는 일자리 343,000개에 해당하는 금액이다. ${\cdot}$비용의 대부분은 연료 수입에 사용될 것이며, 한국의 무역 수지가 악화될 것이다. ${\cdot}$한국의 부족한 재생에너지 자원을 고려할 때, 상당한 양의 화석 연료를 추가로 사용하게 될 것이다. ${\cdot}$LNG 발전소가 석탄 발전소를 대체하지 못하고 원자력발전소를 대체하면서 대기 오염으로 인한 조기 사망자 수가 증가할 것이다. ${\cdot}$한국의 전도유망한 원전 수출 산업이 아예 붕괴되거나 큰 타격을 입을 것이다. ${\cdot}$평균적 미국 자동차의 연간 주행거리를 기준으로 150만대에서 270만대의 미국 자동차가 배출하는 배기가스의 양만큼 연간 탄소 배출이 증가할 것이고, 한국은 파리기후협정에서 약속한 탄소 배출 감축 목표를 달성할 수 없게 된다. 본 보고서는 현재 계획된 탈원전 정책의 역사적 사회적 배경을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. ${\cdot}$'그린피스(Greenpeace)', '지구의 친구들(Friends for the Earth)' 등 막대한 자금 지원을 받는 해외 환경단체들은 탈원전 거짓 정보의 근원이며, 이들은 저렴하고 풍부한 에너지라는 개념을 반대한다. ${\cdot}$후쿠시마 원전 사고와 그 여파의 주된 원인은 일본 원자력산업계의 오만과 원자력에 대한 과장된 집단 공포이다. ${\cdot}$반핵 진영의 논리에는 산업계와 정부에 대한 불신과 원자력, 방사선에 대한 몰이해가 반영되어 있다. ${\cdot}$반핵 진영은 후쿠시마 사고를 2014년 한수원 납품 비리 사태의 심각성을 과장하는 데 사용하고 있다. 2014년의 비리 사태는 한국 원자력 규제기관의 독립성을 증명했으며, 2016년의 경주 지진은 2011년 후쿠시마에서 쓰나미와 노심 용융을 초래한 동일본 대지진의 1/350,000의 크기밖에 되지 않는다. 본 보고서는 한국과 타국가의 반핵 운동이 주는 교훈을 다음과 같이 정리하였다. ${\cdot}$어떠한 국가도 에너지 자원 최빈국인 프랑스나 한국 같은 국가조차도 탈원전 '전쟁'에서 자유롭지 않으며, 이는 전 세계적으로 원자력산업이 쇠퇴하는 원인이다. ${\cdot}$원자력산업계, 정부, IAEA 등은 한국과 세계 여러 국가에서- 문화적, 제도적, 재정적 원인으로 원자력산업의 보호와 확대라는 목표를 달성할 수 없다. ${\cdot}$원자력산업을 구하기 위해서는 새로운 비전과 새로운 제도, 그리고 새로운 리더십이 필요하다. ${\cdot}$원자력의 근원적이고 혁신적인 비전 원자력 인본주의(atomic humanism)에 대한 재조명이 필요하다. ${\cdot}$원자력을 지키고 대중과 소통하기 위해 과학 연구단체, 대학교, 사단법인, NGO 등의 새로운 기관들을 후원해야 한다. ${\cdot}$공포를 조장하는 반원전 세력에 맞서 공포를 극복해야 하고, 대중의 공포를 극복해왔던 다른 기술들의 사례에서 교훈을 얻어야 한다.
