  • This paper studies a multiple user class variable demand user equilibrium and system optimal condition, and then establishes solution algorithms for them. The traffic network equilibrium is accomplished with basis on following assumptions. For considering heterogeneous road user, several user classes have discrete set of VOTs and the travel demand of each user classes varies according to generalized travel cost. this paper specifically investigates following question on multi-class variable demand: Are user equilibrium flows pattern dependent on the unit (time or money) perceived by road user classes? What is system optimal condition according to the unit used in measuring the travel cost or disutility? Finally, using this network equilibrium condition, The traffic assignment algorithm of each equilibrium condition are established.

  • This study conducted research on the actual condition of multicultural education in universities and multicultural competence among university students. The overall results are discussed by two sections as follows: The average score of multicultural competence is 3.49, above moderate. The students who rate their multicultural competence high are those who have been abroad, lived in aborad, had foreign friends, or had communicative ability in foreign languages. There were significant differences in multicultural competence among students based on gender and major. Based on the overall results of the study, the several suggestions were made by the researcher as follows: Universities should support students' overseas volunteer program and encourage students to participate in domestic volunteer program for multicultural background groups.

  • This study analyzes the contents of multicultural education in teacher's manual for "Age 3 - 5 Nuri Curriculum." The criteria of identity, diversity, openness, democracy, and community were used to investigate 1,470 activities relevant to multicultural education in Nuri Curriculum, which was published in March, 2013. The findings were categorized into life theme, contents area and activity type. In the life theme, multicultural contents appeared most in 'my town' and 'my country,' while the least in 'spring, summer, fall, winter.' In the contents areas, diversity, identity and community appeared more than democracy and openness. And, these contents included social relationships. In the activity type, multicultural contents are analyzed the most frequently in 'math activity' and 'sharing a story.'

  • This paper proposes a Near Field Communication (NFC) communication system that exchanges information of digital business cards efficiently for many to many communication to solve inconvenience of one-to-one communication when people exchanges business cards each other in meetings such as conference, forum, seminar. The proposed system can provide people to exchange contact information one-to-one as well as multiple members at once using a digital business card system that consists a server and a database based on NFC communication. The system has been developed to collect business card information from a NFC reader and to transfer it directly to a smartphone application effectively. The system can manage business card information with the application effectively and provide security in order to prevent from leakage of private information when transferring contact data.

  • This research aims to develop the strategy and method to enhance the reliability of image matching results and improve the efficiency of the matching process by utilizing LIDAR data in the main image matching processes. In this work, we present the methods to utilize LIDAR data in the selection of matching entities, the search for the matched entities and the evaluation of the matching results. The proposed method has been applied to medium-resolution digital aerial images and LIDAR data acquired at the same time. The results have been analyzed in comparison with an existing method using a virtual horizontal surface rather than LIDAR DEM. This analysis indicates that the proposed method can show significantly more improved performance than the existing method. The results of this study can contribute to the improvement of the currently available commercial image matching software and the enhancement of the DEM derived from LIDAR data and matching results.

  • This study aims to identify the impacts of parenting attitude, self-esteem and depression on school life adaptation in multicultural family adolescents focusing on the mediating effects of self-esteem and depression. To achieve this purpose, the seventh year of the 2016 Multicultural Youth Panel Survey(MAPS) data was used and among all respondents 1,236 multicultural adolescents under 16 years old whose mothers are foreign were collected. Our study findings are as follows: First, supervision and self-esteem had a positive effect, and neglect and depression had a negative effect on school life adaptation. Second, supervision and neglect had a partial influence on school life adaptation through the mediation of self-esteem and depression. Based on these findings, some practical implications was presented to enhance the adaptability of multicultural familiy adolescents to school life adaptation.

  • In this paper, we introduce a model of the teaching and learning method for multidisciplinary convergence capstone design at Kongju National University's Engineering Department. At Kongju national University, various capstone design works are designed and proceeded by multidisciplinary students at the summer session. The multidisciplinary approach described in this paper includes the involvement of five department's student who have not collaborated in capstone design experience. This study focuses on multidisciplinary capstone design education by using the micro controller board called Arduino Uno that consists of an assortment of sensors and actuators. The result of self-satisfaction survey was shown the meaningful teaching process for the engineering department students who could have more creative and industrial experiences. As a result, we are able to get the result of the possible directions for future technology education in the area of convergence multidisciplinary capstone design.
