  • The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of QEEG-based neurofeedback clinical tests on patients diagnosed with anxiety disorder. Researchers tested six patients with anxiety disorder using 32-channel QEEG(Quantitative electroencephalograpy) and neurofeedback training equipment. The study measured anxiety levels of patients using QEEG and BAI physiological psychology tests. Test results found hyperactive beta waves present in all six patients' temporal lobe. The intensity of the wave of the right hemisphere temporal lobe T4(M=31.07) was the higher than that of the left hemisphere temporal lobe 3(M=29.11). Following Neurofeedback training, the beta wave of the right hemisphere lobe was reduced significantly in all patients. The average anxiety level decreased from 23.57 to 12.14 after the neurofeedback training. In addition, among the two patients who were taking medication, one patient reduced his dosage while the other patient discontinued taking medication. This result implies that the QEEG neurofeedback training technique can be effectively applied to patients with anxiety disorder.

  • This study was to examine the effectiveness of prefrontal Neurofeedback training by observing the pre and post brainwave measurement results of about W kindergarten kids 52 (experimental group 26. comparative group 26) subjects who have shown brain quotient and master ability, in between the months of Mar. 2010 and Nov. 2010. As the brainwaves are adjusted by timeseries linear analysis, the result confirmed the differences of both brain quotient and master ability. The result of the study suggest Neurofeedback technique's possibility in positively affecting the subjects' brain quotient and master ability.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of neurofeedback training on adolescence groups that are different in sex. The experiment was carried out with 45 students who living in Yong-in of Kyonggi Province. From November 2009 to March 2010, each were under training about 20-25 times, 2-3 times a week, during 20 to 50 minutes, was conducted by limiting training. Statistical data collected were processed with the SPSS 12.0. For the purposes of t-test showed that differences in the effects of sex. The result, The effects of neurofeedback training, according to the sex differences were confirmed. only boys showed stress resistance quotient, only girls showed emotional quotient. they also have differences in some part of cerebral cortex that are responsible for stress and emotion. As a result, neurofeedback training affects the prefrontal lobe.

  • This research aimed to investigate the effects of neurofeedback training on unilateral neglect and depression in patients with stroke. Fourteen of the subjects were selected from the experimental group and the control group respectively; the following results were obtained. First, experimental group and the control group presented significant statistical difference before and after intervention on neglect. However, there is after intervention no significant statistical among them. Two, experimental group and the control group presented significant statistical difference before and after intervention on depression, and the experimental group demonstrated more decrease than the control group in depression. The results obtained from this research expect us that applying the neurofeedback training for the improvement of neglect and depression, to stroke patients has a positive effect on the rehabilitation of patients.

  • In this study, a method of designing a neurointerface using neural network (NN) is proposed for controlling nonholonomic mobile robots. According to the concept of virtual master-slave robots, in particular, a partially stable inverse dynamic model of the master robot is acquired online through the NN by applying a feedback-error learning method, in which the feedback controller is assumed to be based on a PD compensator for such a nonholonomic robot. The NN for the online feedback-error learning can composed that the input layer consists of six units for the inputs $x_i$, i=1~6, the hidden layer consists of two hidden units for hidden outputs $o_j$, j=1~2, and the output layer consists of two units for the outputs ${\tau}_k$, k=1~2. A tracking control problem is demonstrated by some simulations for a nonholonomic mobile robot with two-independent driving wheels. The initial q value was set to [0, 5, ${\pi}$].
