How has the passenger car's architecture evolved? In the meantime, the discussions on the car architecture have been mixed, i.e., integral, modular, and the coexistence of two types. Therefore, in this study, we aim to develop two indices can measure the degree of modularization of passenger car and its all modules using global trade data. By applying the indices to the framework of architecture positioning that reflects the hierarchical structure of a product, we examined that the degree of modularization of the passenger car architecture has been enhanced. Meanwhile, the degree of modularization differs across the modules that make up the car. Specifically, we observed the higher degree of modularization in front-end, cockpit and seat modules. Whereas, we found that body module had a relatively low degree of modularization. In particular, we observed that the platform of passenger car has notably modularized due to carmakers' efforts to achieve model diversification and reduction of cost and period in new product development at the same time. Interestingly, we showed that three modules, i.e., engine, chassis (relatively less modularized), and transmission (relatively highly modularized), had a different level of modularization, even if they commonly make up the platform. We contribute to the suggestion for analytical approaches that examine the degree of modularization and its progress longitudinally. In addition, we propose the necessity of decomposition of a system into elements in a study of product architecture, considering the possibly distinctive progress of modularization across the elements.

The purpose of the study is to develop the indicator and scale for evaluating the service environments of archives and to assess the physical service environments of National Archives of Korea (NAK), and then to suggest the alternatives to improve the current service environments on the basis of the results of evaluation. To achieve the purpose, the study designed three research phases: first, to develop the indicator and scale to measure the current service environments by merging universal design indicators and various standards of NAK for establishing facilities and environments on the basis of the barrier-free authentication indicators; second, to evaluate the current service environments of NAK with the newly developed scale; finally to suggest alternatives to improve the current environments on the basis of the evaluation findings. The study found that current service environments of NAK have critical limits on the areas and facilities to provide direct archival information services to users such as reference service desks, showrooms, education rooms, seminar rooms, etc. On the basis of the results, the study suggested the alternatives and further studies for making barrier-free service environments of archives.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on physical activity management plans for different developmental levels in infants. Collected data was verified with a chi-squared test and an independent samples t-test. Results: First, among variables of professional practical of physical activities, some factors including class size, class planners and leaders, the number of outdoor classes per week and requisite time, parts of related education plans, parts of content selection for physical activities, and parts of the evaluation of physical activities showed significant differences depending on the class. Second, among variables of support requests when implementing physical activities, some factors including methods of preparing physical activity plans, teaching -learning methods, evaluation methods, body expression activity programs, and parts of physical exercise in the standardized child care curriculum of refresher and extension courses showed significant differences depending on the class. Conclusion/Implications: This study discusses the effective management of refresher and extension courses as a way to improve physical activity management plans and teachers' support requests for infants aged 1 to 2.
Legislative stability of the production and management of electronic records and the enhancement of infrastructure have reached significant levels through relentless efforts of academic and public institutions in the field. In addition, appraisal and disposal of records also have to be done by retention periods, business functions, administrational and historical values, and certain procedures. The law specifies that public institutions must assign record managers. The underlying reason is for record managers to arbitrate the review process when records are to be evaluated and discarded and to prevent unauthorized disuses. It is also for just evaluations with the professionalism. Evaluation and discard of records have significant meanings in record management. Thus, these processes need to be handled properly in the standard record management system. Evaluation should be proceeded by the law enacted under the task functional and social agreement. Since, the record discard is decided through the technical and logical process, the support for evaluation and discard works are important above all things. In this paper, I deducted functional requirements of standard record management system by analyzing methods including the analysis of legislation and standard related to electronic records and the examination of the user's manual of record management system. I researched through the interviews of the record managers in public institutions. Based on this research, I deducted the implications for the evaluation of standard record management system and the estimation of functional requirements for discard. I also discussed future directions of improvements and follow-up studies.

The convergence of engineering and IT technology has brought many changes to the industry as well as academic research. In particular, computer simulation technology has evolved to a level that can accurately simulate actual physical phenomena and analyze them in real time. In this paper, we describe the CFD technology, which is mainly used in industry, and the post processor that uses the augmented reality which is emerging as the post-processing. Research on the visualization of fluid simulation results using AR technology is actively being carried out. However, due to the large size of the result data, it is limited to researches that are published in a desktop environment. Therefore, it is limitation that needs to be reviewed in actual space. In this paper, we discuss how to solve these problems. We analyze the fluid analysis results in the post-processing, and then perform optimizing data (more than 70%)to support operation in the mobile environment. In the visualization, lightweight data is used to perform real-time tracking using cloud computing, The analysis result is matched to the screen and visualized. This allows the user to review and analyze the fluid analysis results in an efficient and immersive manner in the various spaces where the simulation is performed.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) and modular construction are regarded as important technologies that have contributed to advancements in the construction industry. However, the utilization of BIM in current modular construction projects is limited; moreover, there are no specific guidelines pertaining the applications of BIM in modular construction projects. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the utilization of BIM for onsite construction planning in modular construction projects. First, a realistic BIM application was selected through literature review and expert interviews. Then, the construction plan of the modular projects was analyzed to classify the BIM application items into five different categories. The utilization of BIM in each category was then analyzed in terms of necessity and efficiency using a questionnaire. Finally, the BIM Utilization Index (BIM UI) was suggested based on the findings of the survey. As a results, the BIM UI for module point details, lifting plan, other installation details, site layout plan, and schedule plan was 0.811, 0.787, 0.770, 0.729, and 0.699, in the descending order of usability. In addition, through the findings of the study and interviews with experts, a case study for implementation of BIM in modular construction plan was conducted. The results of this study can be used as application guidelines for BIM in future modular construction projects.
The objective of this study is to verify the moderated mediating effects according to the severity level of a disability as well as the mediating effects of job security in the relationship between difficulties in the workplace of the disabled wage workers caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and their life satisfaction. As a result of analysis using SPSS ver. 25 and PROCESS macro, the difficulties within the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative influence on life satisfaction through the job security of the disabled wage worker. In other words, it was revealed that the level of difficulties being faced by the disabled wage workers, which were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, hinders their life satisfaction through job security. In addition, no moderating effect according to the severity level of disability was identified in the relationship between these variables. This is translated that difficulties in the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic reduce job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers regardless of the severity level of the disability. Based on the results thus far, this study further discussed the institutional implications for promoting the job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers under the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
In this study, we analyzed the relationship between the physical science domain of TIMSS 2019 and the Korean science curriculum. Twelve subjects are presented in the physical science domain of the TIMSS 2019 4th grade evaluation framework. Research group consisting of elementary and middle school teachers and science education experts, a total of 12, participated to analyze in which grade these subjects were included in the Korea 2009 revised and 2015 revised science curriculum. As a results of analyzing whether the achievement standards of the TIMSS 2019 evaluation framework and Korean science curriculum are consistent, the subjects pertinent to chemistry like 'chemical changes in everyday life,' 'heat transfer,' and 'electricity and simple electrical circuits' appeared not covered at all until the 4th grade curriculum in Korea. Given that the TIMSS 2019 evaluation framework is an international achievement standard, we are proposing to improve the Korean curriculum as follows: first, for the development of the next science curriculum, there is a need for science curriculum organized from the 1st grade of elementary school to connect the content and scope of chemistry in elementary, middle, and high schools as a whole including the Nuri curriculum. Second, as an alternative to the problem of suitability of learning volume and level of learning, it is possible to think of a method to readjust the grade of dealing with related concepts by lowering the difficulty or simplifying the concept. Third, it is necessary to discuss about introducing essential concepts and standard terms into Korea science curriculum according to international trends.
Because of self-enhancement motives, when involved in social comparison, many people generally value things that are related to themselves, with the representative example being possessions, which is known as the endowment (ownership) effect. However, there are times when someone else's possessions appear to be better than our own, even if they are the same things, which is known as the endowment effect reversal. The purpose of this study was to explore the moderating variable that regulates the endowment effect and the endowment effect reversal by confirming whether the value estimation of others' belongings differed through a regulatory focus as it was surmised that the regulatory focus would moderate the endowment effect of the self versus the others' ownership. Foreign participants were shown the currency of a country they were unfamiliar with and asked to estimate the value in their home country currency. It was found that when people thought the money was their own, people with a promotion focus estimated the value to be higher than people with a prevention focus. However, when they thought it was someone else's money, the regulatory focus moderating effect was not found to be significant, which suggested that the endowment effect may be strengthened or eliminated depending on the individual's regulatory focus. Based on these study results, the implications, limitations, and suggestions for follow-up studies are discussed.
Using the 1st to 5th wave data from Gyeonggi Education Panel Study(GEPS), this study analyzed the change of school effectiveness of middle schools by innovation school expansion in Gyeonggi province. For this purpose, the analysis employed difference-in-difference model with repeated cross-sectional data and the dependent variable was comprised of academic achievement, school satisfaction, creativity, and sense of community. Results showed that the effectiveness of innovation schools had not significantly different from general schools before innovation school expansion but significantly improved in academic achievement and school satisfaction compared to general schools after the policy applied. On the other hand, the school effectiveness in creativity and sense of community not significantly different between innovation and general schools in both before and after. As time passes, the effectiveness of existing innovation schools in the academic achievement was improved and the school satisfaction was maintained. In addition, the effectiveness in satisfaction of the schools was improved as general schools with high effectiveness in academic achievement were transformed into innovation schools. Based on the results, the policy for innovation school expansion was evaluated and the issues related to this policy were discussed.
