Design of Maximum Green Time Parameters for Traffic Actuated Operation (감응식 신호운영을 위한 최대녹색시간의 설계)

  • 감응식 신호운영변수 설계에 관한 연구는 정주기식 신호운영변수 설계의 그것보다 그 수준이 현저히 미비하며 이는 감응식 신호운영 특성을 반영한 평가방법의 부재로 감응식 운영변수의 평가가 불가능하였기 때문이다. 본 논문은 최근에 소개된 평균 감응현시 녹색시간 추정 수리모형을 이용하여 Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) 지체도를 최소화하는 최대녹색시간의 설계방안을 제시한다. - '최소녹색시간'과 '단위연장시간'은 보행자 횡단시간 및 차량 차두시간 등 지역별 운전자/보행자의 특성과 관련이 있어 일반적인 최적화 설계 수리모형의 적용에 무리가 있어 제외한다. 제안된 설계방안은 감응식 운영논리를 토대로 감응현시 군의 평균녹색시간과 평균주기를 산정하며, HCM 지체도를 평가하고, 가능한 대안 중 지체를 최소화하는 최대녹색시간 운영변수 군을 '혼혈 유전자 알고리즘'으로 도출한다. 현장실험을 통해 도출이 불가능한 실제 최적치를 Corridor Simulation(CORSIM)모형을 이용하여 추정하였고 이를 제안된 설계방안으로 도출된 최대녹색시간 운영변수' 값들과 비교하였다. 비교결과 교차로 v/c 비율이 1.0 보다 낮을 시는 제안된 방법을 통해 설계된 최대녹색시간 운영변수 군이 최소 CORSIM 지체도를 산출하는 최대녹색시간 운영변수 군과 동일한 것으로, v/c비율이 1.0보다 높을 시는 다른 것으로 결과되었다. v/c비율이 1.0 보다 높은 경우는 정주기식 교차로 운영에 효율적이라 감응식 운영의 필요를 벗어나므로 제안된 최대녹색시간 설계방안은 감응식 신호운영 필요범위 내에서 효율적이다. 기존의 최대녹색시간 설계는 정수기식 최적녹색시간을 기준으로 최대녹색시간을 추정하며, 그러한 과정을 돕기 위하여 추정범위(설계자가 범위 내에서 임의로 선택함)를 제시하는 것이 기존의 연구임을 비교하면 본 연구에서 제안하고 있는 설계방법의 의미가 크다.

Mathematical modeling approach for classroom assignment problem (수리적 모델링을 통한 강의실 배정문제 해법에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, as the education population of Korea has been rapidly declining, many changes have been taking place in the university environment. Especially, community colleges linked to local communities have responded to these crises through various educational changes, such as three-year study transfers, work-parallelism, and employee commissioned education. However, such changes in the contents of education are causing a new type of classroom allocation problem, in which it is difficult to assign the limited number of classrooms to the major courses. In this paper, we classified the constraints involved in assigning classrooms into absolute constraints and relative constraints, mathematically modeled them, and allocated the classrooms optimally through optimization software. The results were satisfactory and enabled us to obtain superior results in terms of the various performance indices (classroom utilization rate, teacher satisfaction, etc.) than when assigning classrooms in the normal way.

User Interface Model Based Automatic Mobile Web Application Generation Tool for Embedded Systems (내장형 시스템을 위한 사용자 인터페이스 모델 기반 모바일 웹앱 자동 생성 도구)

  • This paper presents a tool that automatically generates mobile web applications from user interface (UI) models which are based on PELUM (Pattern and Event based Logical User Interface Modeling). PELUM is a method for the effective development of UI-centered embedded systems via UI modeling. The proposed tool consists of a model editor and a code generator. The former provides an environment for modeling a Logical UI Model (LUM) and a Programming Interface Model (PIM) on the web. On the other hand, the code generator sets the screen configuration and events' behavior, according to the LUM, synthesizing a local database schema according to the PIM, and then generates an executable mobile web app. It also can produce mashup web apps by receiving an open API address via the PIM. The generated mobile web apps follow the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture in order for users to easily customize them. The proposed tool enables them to generate mobile web apps that can be executed on various devices by modeling logical UIs on the web.

  • This paper describes a 3.3V 10 bit CMOS digital-to-analog converter with a divided architecture of a 7 MSB and a 3 LSB, which uses an optimal Thermal-to-Binary Decoding method with monotonicity, glitch energy. The output stage utilizes here implements a return-to-zero circuit to obtain the dynamic performance. Most of D/A converters in decoding circuit is complicated, occupies a large chip area. For these problems, this paper describes a D/A converter using an optimal Thermal-to-Binary Decoding method. the designed D/A converter using the CMOS n-well $0.35{\mu}m$ process0. The experimental data shows that the rise/fall time, settling time, and INL/DNL are 1.90ns/2.0ns, 12.79ns, and a less than ${\pm}2.5/{\pm}0.7$ LSB, respectively. The power dissipation of the D/A converter with a single power supply of 3.3V is about 250mW.

  • In this paper, to manage the efficient control of IP packet flows crossing multi-provider networks such as Internet, we propose a SDN(Software Defined Networking)-based policy controller. The proposed policy controller leverages the visibility of underlying network and manages both virtual links and ports to inter-connect networking elements. The controller is capable of quickly composing multiple on-demand virtual networks and dynamically managing the composed networks, thus it can provide more flexible and optimized overlay networking environment to end-user applications. More specifically, we first look into the proposed structure and features of policy controller. With two kinds of service applications, we then verify the applicability of the proposed controller by evaluating its service composition time.

  • The final object of this research is to construct general management system that can manage diverse facilities of city on the basis of ubiquitous technology. Defining data format of items in each management, type and code for the urban facilities, the researcher designed database of urban facilities through the process of establishing logic model and data modelling. By inputting designed database into RFID Tag of each urban facilities and using RFID Reader and PDA, the researcher developed system that can efficiently manage the basic attributes and information and management information of urban facilities. Applying the general management system for urban facilities constructed on the basis of ubiquitous, the researcher could check the information of target facilities and input revised data. Further, it was found that the characteristics of RFID Tag and GPS should improve the optimal hardware combination and PDA performance for the surrounding environmental influence and system performance.

  • PMS(Pavement Management System) has been developed and/or operated for the freeway and national highway systems in Korea. There is, however, no municipal PMS that is necessary in many cities for efficient management of their roadways. In this study, a municipal Prototype PMS is developed. The Prototype PMS is designed to be operated on PC base. It uses GIS interface for user friendliness that applies color graphics, text and distress pictures to display pavement conditions and rehabilitation information for both current and historical situations. The computer program of the prototype PMS consists of four major functions(inquiry, analysis, data management, and print). Especially, prioritization and M&R(Maintenance and Rehabilitation) alternative selection procedure is designed to be flexible so that the users can modify the decision criteria whenever it is necessary. Database items of the Prototype PMS is carefully selected for the objectives and size of municipal PMS. Reference point method is basically used for the location referencing in the Database. The unit section consists of each loom segment of the road for effective management.

  • According as internet and computer technology develops, the amount of information has increased exponentially, arising from a variety of web authoring tools and is a new web standard of appearance and a wide variety of web content accessibility as more convenient for the web are produced very quickly. However, web documents are put out on a variety of topics divided into some blocks where each of the blocks are dealing with a topic unrelated to one another as well as you can not see with contents such as many navigations, simple decorations, advertisements, copyright. Extract only the exact area of the web document body to solve this problem and to meet user requirements, and to study the effective information. Later on, as the reconstruction method, we propose a web search system can be optimized systematically manage documents.

  • Mobility as a Service is a service conception to achieve the intelligent transportation system. Its aims to improve the travel experience. In one platform, it connects various transportation modes to offer service and users only need to pay in one time for the whole travel. But the single MaaS platform easily faces the problems such as low user traffic, low retention rate and the access to markets of the this service is still unfound. From the perspective of bicycle-sharing, this research makes the MaaS concept into bicycle-sharing to build a better service model. The bicycle-sharing combine with the MaaS concept is innovative in business model, travel model and service architecture. In addition, this research also tests users' expectations for service model. The research shows that MaaS-based bicycle-sharing could offer flexible and convenient travel experience in the aspects of combined transportation, travel, transfer and payment, and it also makes it possible to make travel services according to need, and sustainable transport.

A Method for Determining Sending Rates of Peers for Efficient Network Resource Utilization in P2P Environment (P2P 환경에서 효율적 망 자원 이용을 위한 피어의 송신률 결정 방법)

  • The performance of P2P application services may be improved by reducing unnecessary inter-network traffic through intelligent peer selection. However, since a logical link between peers in a P2P overlay network is composed of a set of physical links in an underlay network, the traffic pattern determined by the sending rates of selected peers imposes loads on each underlay links. Thus, if the sending rates are not determined carefully, the loads between underlay links may not be balanced, which means some links are underloaded while the other links are congested. In this paper, we take an optimization approach to determine the sending rates of peers strategically to avoid the inefficient use of underlay links. The proposed scheme also guarantee the minimum receiving rates of peers while minimizing the maximum link utilization of underlay links, which is beneficial both to P2P applications and an underlay network.
