A Bibliometric Analysis of the Research Performance by Researchers in the Biological Sciences: Based on the K University (생명과학 분야 연구자들의 연구 성과 분석 연구 - K 대학교를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth analysis on the publication patterns of the 1,029 journal articles by the Life Sciences' faculty at the K University, for the years 2004-2017 and to investigate any difference between their publication patterns and the citedness for the years 2004-2018. Among the three funding agency types, the research publications supported by foreign funding received the more citations than publications by other types of funding, and the study also found a statistical difference in the citedness (F = 10.467, p < .000***). In addition, the internationally co-authored publications received more citations than three other types of co-authored publications in terms of the immediacy index per publication and the average citations per publication.

  • Community recently pays attention to participation, network, and partnership of local residents and community stakeholders for the purpose of solving community problems and issues. This is the typical characteristics of local governance as an institutional setting to solve the problems which communities face with. The aim of this study is to attempt an analysis of local governance from the perspective of community welfare. To do that, it especially focuses on 'Gwangju Greenway' as a case. Participation of and communications among local residents strengthen their community's capabilities to deal with problems and seek better solutions. Above all, networking and cooperation between local government and local residents are required to improve the quality of local residents' participation at the process of planning and policy-making in the area of community welfare. 'Gwangju Greenway' is a good example of community welfare in that local residents actively seek to solve their own problems and realize common good within their local community through the improvement of social interaction and solidarity among local residents, thus resulting in good quality of life.

A Case Study on Job Analysis Utilizing Cluster Analysis and Community Analysis (군집분석 및 커뮤니티 분석 기법을 활용한 직무분석 사례 연구)

  • The purpose of the study was to explore the potential of the Cluster Analysis and the Community Analysis of Social Network Analyses family in job-task analysis for curriculum design. These two multivariate analysis techniques were expected to bring us relevant and scientific information as well as inspiration in investigating the structure and nature of job system, which are critical in developing relevant curriculum. To pursue the purpose mentioned above, qualitative and quantitative data were collected from "S" Corporate, a major large high-tech manufacturing company, and analyzed by relevant analytic procedures. Results indicate that there are discrepancies between formal job structures and actual ones. Following Community analysis showed that the presence of center-marginal structure along with clustering structure in the current job formation. Interpretations of the results of the study are provided in light of past research and additional data collected from the study. Implications of the study are also discussed along with suggestions for future research.

Layered Authoring of Cyber Warfare Training Scenario (계층적 사이버전 훈련 시나리오 저작)

  • Cyber warfare training is a key factor for boosting cyber warfare competence. In general, cyber warfare training is conducted by scenarios, and the effects of training can be enhanced by including various elements in the scenarios that can improve the quality of training. In this paper, we introduce the training information, network map, traffic generation policy, threat/defense behavior identified as elements to be included in training scenarios, and propose a method of authoring training scenarios by layering and combining them. We also propose a database design for integrated management of each scenario layer. The layered training scenario authoring method has the advantage of increasing convenience of authoring by reusing existing layers and extending training scenarios based on various combinations between the layers.

  • This paper focused on exploratory testing the organizational management area by examining conceptualized relationships between e-commerce usage type and organizational structure. The research model consists of three e-commerce usage type such as buy-side, internal, sell-side activities and four organizational structure dimensions like decentralization, specialization, formalization, and administration intensity. An interview and an e-mail survey of managers were used to obtain information on the variables relevant to e-commerce activities and organizational structure. The data resulted in response from 58 companies. Major findings of this research are summarized as follows: buyer related e-commerce activities is positively relate to the administrative intensity and the specialization, internal process is positively relate to the formalization, while customer related e-commerce is directly relate to the decentralization and the specialization in terms of organizational management.

  • Each area of society has changed because of the development of information technology. Especially, the advent of NCW based on the technology of network has become a new paradigm for executing warfare. Effectiveness of NCW can be maximized by building the C4I system which is a core system of NCW. However, if we don't consider the influence in term of human dimension, we can't expect the effect of C4I system, since the key factor in C4I is human. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for evaluating Combat Power Effectiveness by considering the Influence of Human Factors that wasn't reflected in the past. Based on experimental validation our algorithm is more substantial than baseline algorithms. In addition, we proved that the Influence of Human Factors(e.g. collaboration) is the most important in battlefield. Therefore, proposed algorithm can be used for enhancing not only mission effectiveness in terms of military field but also work performance by effective Human Resource Management in terms of an enterprise.

  • A facility is built by participating of various parties who are connecting each other by network of contract. Domestic construction industry has been suffering with high cost and low efficiency due to lack of cooperative relationship among companies who participated in the project. The government has tried to resolve this problem by diverse policy support, but practical result has not been realized in the level of satisfaction. This paper defined construction business ecosystem in the aspect of business ecosystem as a network among construction companies based on diverse production system, and diagnosed cooperative business ecosystem in construction industry. For construction business ecosystem to be more cooperative business ecosystem, the result of diagnosis shows that the type of cooperation based capacity and value sharing should be developed and interdependence among companies and cooperative relationship should be durable and reasonable price for construction should be guaranteed for the participant to have a profit from the project.

  • This research focused on the strategy formulation for the development of the innovation cluster in Gyeonggi Province - 'Pankyo & Gwanggyo Technovalley'. The study was performed based on both theoretical study and quantitative & qualitative study approaches. Particularly, questionnaire survey was used for the diagnosis of the developmental stages of the innovation clusters. The major determinants for the development of the innovation cluster in Gyeonggi Province can be summarized as follows; the establishment of S&T based host institution, the gradual enlargement of the role of host institution and the enhancement of the network capability of innovation clusters. In terms of the needs of times, this study regarding the strategy for the development of the innovation clusters is anticipated to be a good reference for the R&D organizations and technology cluster participants in coming years.

Characteristics of the Immigration Path and Residential Location of Korean Immigrants in London Metropolitan Area (런던지역 한인 이주민의 정착경로 및 주거입지 특성)

  • This paper aims at analyzing the characteristics of the immigration path, residential location, and housing ownership structure of Korean immigrants in London metropolitan area. The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, factors influencing the initial residential location of Korean immigrants are situation of immigrants, immigration region, and help of prior Korean immigrants. Secondly, factors influencing the current residential location of Korean immigrants are income, ability of English, education at United Kingdom, and initial residential location. Thirdly, viewing the characteristics of the of housing ownership structure, migrants tend to reside their own housings while migration period go beyond 10 years and incomes exceed ${\pounds}$50,000. Forth, immigration path types of London Korean Immigrants are divided by ethnic enclave oriented type and mainstream society oriented type.

The Relationship among Moral Sensitivity, Self-leadership, Fatigue and Compliance with Standard Precautions of Intensive Care Nurses (중환자실 간호사의 도덕적 민감성, 셀프리더십, 피로도와 표준주의지침 수행과의 관계)

  • The study was done to identify relations among moral sensitivity, self-leadership, fatigue and compliance with standard precautions and to identify the influencing factors on compliance with standard precautions for intensive care nurses. Data were collected from 153 intensive care nurses in March 2019 and were analyzed using Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and Stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 24.0 version. The compliance with standard precautions has positive correlation with their self-leadership (r=.17, p=.042). The self-leadership (β=.17, p=.042) was a significant predictor of the compliance with standard precautions. It was statistically significant (R2=.03, F=4.21, p=.042). Based on the findings of this study, each institution needs to make efforts to strengthen the capacity of nurses for self-leadership.
