Verification of the relationship between problematic toenails recognition and nail salon recommendations (문제성 발톱 인식과 네일샵 추천의도의 관계 검증)

  • This research's purpose is figuring out the influencing factor on nail salon visitors recommendation intention. For this research, survey data of 305 men and women in their 10s to 50s were gathered in the area. Gathering the surveys, 170 people who did not have insincere response and problematic toenails were excluded. The rest 135 was used for the study. After analyzing the outcome (F=5.588, p<.01), from problematic toenails in the ingrown toenails there was a statistical significant difference. In foot care and location, the difference effectiveness is care/home remedy/pharmacy.(F=4.319, p<.01). Looking at recommendation intention for problematic toenails at the nail salon (F=15.152, p<.01). In addition, is it possible for the nail salon to improve as well as to prevent problematic toenails, can the nail salon care for problematic toenails, foot care behavior, intention of visiting nail salon on recognition of professionalism influences on nail salon recommendation intention by statically appeared to be significant (F=16.847, p<.001). Therefore, this research recognizes and raises the nail salon visitors quality on problematic toenails. Following problematic toenails type, we can further extend to improve as well as to prevent judging from the given data.

The Study of motives to select and revitalise a franchise by comparing management practices of nail shops (네일샵의 경영형태 비교를 통한 프랜차이즈 선택동기와 경영성과 분석에 대한 연구)

  • This study is to identify whether a difference exists between factors that influence the time when independently owned nail shops and franchises commence business. Futhermore, we set out to investigate the criteria for nail shop owners use when selecting franchise nail shops with a relatively high level of customer satisfaction and performance, to discuss the necessity of a franchise agreement. An actual analysis has revealed that there is a difference in factors that influence management at the time of and after the inception of independently owned shops and franchise nail shops. Business performance of franchise shops, as a result of evaluating customer satisfaction or monthly sales, turns out to be higher than independently owned shops. The criteria for selecting franchise stores includes intensity of competitiveness in the same business district, accessibility, ability to keep up with current trends, directors' skills, color scheme, excellence of company logo, interesting interior, reasonable prices compared to the level of cosmetic procedure and efforts to motivate employees. Overall, the deciding factor enabling shops to operate continuously is constant supervision from the headquarters of the franchise company.

  • This study presents how the recognition of nail care shop's SNS information and nail care service's quality affects to customer's satisfaction, with 257 women who is aged between 20 and 50, with survey. The recognition of nail care shop's SNS information is comprised with understanding, utilization, and loyalty. The recognition of nail care service's quality is comprised with external service, internal service, and the service attitude of employee. All the factors are verified with feasibility study and reliability test. The information about nail care service can be found at the internet and SNS most. The recognition of nail care shop's SNS information has positive effect with the satisfaction of SNS, and the recognition of nail care shop's quality has positive relationship with the satisfaction of nail care service. The various utilization of SNS service with systemic service attitude of employee can lead to positive effect of promoting a nail care shop.

Occupational Exposure of Nail Technicians to Airborne Chemicals and Biological Monitoring (네일샵 종사자들의 공기 중 화학물질에 대한 직업적인 노출과 생물학적인 모니터링)

  • 일샵 종사자들의 1) 공기 중 화학물질에 대한 노출정도를 파악하고 2) 공기 중 미량으로 존재하는 아세톤 및 톨루엔과 요 중 아세톤 및 마뇨산과의 연관성을 분석하여 후자들이 아직도 생물학적인 지표로 유용한지를 알아보고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 경인 지역소재 9개의 네일숍에 근무하는 20명의 종사자들을 노출군으로 선정하였으며 이 작업과 무관한 일반 여성 20명을 대조군 선정하였다. 작업장 공기는 한 네일숍에 3개씩 총 27개의 시료를 가능한 한 작업자의 호흡영역에서 가장 가까운 곳에서 지역시료로 채취하였다. 공기 중 유기증기 13개 물질, 포름알데히드, 요 중 아세톤, 요 중 마뇨산을 가스크로마토그래프, 자외선분광광도계 그리고 GC/MS를 이용하여 분석하였다. 유기증기 13개 물질 중 아세톤과 톨루엔은 모든 네일샵에서 검출되었다. 각 네일샵 공기 중 유기증기의 노출정도를 기하평균(GM)과 복합물질간 상가작용을 이용하여 평가를 하였을 때 노동부 노출기준의 10%, ACGIH의 13% 수준에 불과하여 네일샵 종사자들의 유기증기에 대한 직업적인 노출정도는 매우 낮은 것으로 판단되었다. 요 중 아세톤과 마뇨산은 공기 중 아세톤과 툴루엔과 약한 상관성을 보였다(아세톤의 상관 계수 r=0.49, 톨루엔의 상관계수 r=0.45). 그러나 요 중 아세톤의 농도가 노출군과 대조군 간에 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으며 마뇨산은 대조군에 비해 노출군에서 약간 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 저자들은 공기 중 아세톤과 톨루엔의 농도가 낮은 작업장에서 요 중 아세톤과 마뇨산을 생물학적 지표로 삼는 것은 적절하지 못한 것으로 결론지었다.

A Study on Customer Awareness and a Strategy for Enhancing No-Show Situations at Nail Salons (네일샵 예약부도 고객인식 및 개선방안 연구)

  • The beauty industry has evolved into a highly competitive service sector, expanding alongside economic growth. Nail art, in particular, has witnessed a remarkable surge in popularity. To efficiently manage individual time, nail salons have adopted reservation systems. However, the issue of no-shows, where customers fail to keep their appointments, has emerged as a significant societal and economic concern. This study seeks to identify and address the root causes of no-shows in nail salons, providing essential data for the industry. A comprehensive survey was conducted, involving 476 customers from nail salons in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions. Survey responses were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 software. Results revealed that a change of mind was the primary reason for no-shows. This underscores the importance of promoting reservation awareness among both businesses and consumers. To mitigate no-shows, suggestions included implementing non-refundable reservation deposits and imposing cancellation fees. Notably, the beauty industry currently lacks systematic regulations concerning no-shows, highlighting the necessity for future research aimed at developing reservation-related guidelines and standards.

  • 1990년 증강현실이라는 용어가 처음 사용된 후 2000년대 중반까지는 연구개발 및 시험적용단계에 머물러 있었으나, 최근 카메라와 그래픽 처리 능력을 높인 단말기, 충분한 속도의 무선통신, GPS 등의 기능을 갖춘 스마트 폰이 등장하면서 실용화 단계에 진입을 하였다. 국내 네일 산업은 2008년 시장규모 4830억 원으로 매년 고속 성장을 하고 있으며 일본의 경우 2010년도에 약2015억 엔으로 2009년도의 약1971억 엔에 비교하여 2.2% 증가하였다. 이처럼 시장의 규모는 매년 커지고 다양해지면서 여러 번의 시행착오를 거쳐야 마음에 드는 네일 케어를 받을 수 있기 때문에 상당히 힘들고 번거롭다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 시대를 맞이하여 증강현실을 이용한 네일 샵 적용 방안을 연구하였다. 증강현실 기술을 이용하면 색을 칠하기 전 색이 자신의 손에 맞는지를 알아볼 수 있고 예상되는 결과를 알아 볼 수 있어서 다양해진 소비자들의 니즈를 충족시켜 줄 뿐만 아니라 네일 케어를 받기 전 시행착오를 겪는 소비자들에게 도움을 줄 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제시한 증강현실을 이용한 네일 샵 적용은 국내뿐만 아니라 세계적으로 네일 산업분야에 큰 발전을 도래 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • Customers who visit nail shops need creative and unique designs, but at present nail artists remain at the level of design imitation, new nail art designs should be developed to satisfy customers. Therefore, this study presented convergent nail art designs using formative art principles which are the basis of all design with the aim of contributing to creative nail art designs. For this purpose, this study investigated specialized books, Internet data and previous studies on the subject, analysed concepts and cases of formative art principles, and the concept of nail art and related expressive techniques to create six convergent nail art designs. As nail art techniques, this study used hand painting, marbling, see-through, etching, embossing, patching and objet. As a result, this study presented unique and creative nail art designs using formative art principles and found the possibility of creating new nail art designs. This study has meaning in that the results of this study are significant as basic data to enhance the design capabilities of nail artists.

Factors that make customers revisit nail-shops depending on customers' lifestyle and satisfaction levels (네일샵 고객의 라이프스타일과 서비스 만족도에 따른 재방문에 관한 연구)

  • The lifestyle of customers visiting nail shops is categorized into four such as the types of 'pursuit of fashion', 'pursuit of brand', 'conservative frugality', 'premeditated pursuit'. Subjects are divided into 3 groups such as a 'pragmatist group', an 'achievement-oriented group' and a 'brand-oriented group'. Customers satisfaction level was measured in the subcategories of a 'personal service', a 'technical service', a 'facility service' and an 'after-sales service'. Their satisfaction levels depending on the types of customers' lifestyle have meaningful differences in a 'technical' and an 'after-sales' service. The 'pragmatist group' shows the highest mark in a 'personal service' and an 'achievement-oriented', it prefers the 'personal' and 'facility service' evenly. The 'brand-oriented' group shows high concern in the 'technical service'. Concludingly, the types of customers' lifestyle which influence their revisiting of the nail shop have deep relation to customers' satisfaction level in the 'personal', 'technical', 'facility', and 'after-sales service' of nail shops. Especially the 'facility service' is highly influential in customer's revisiting.

Nail Art Convergence Design Using Mosaic Technique (모자이크 기법을 적용한 네일아트 융합 디자인)

  • As nailists do not pay much attention to development of new designs while repeating existing or variated designs, nail design is not developed further and just simple design is repeated. In this perspective, this study is to suggest nail art designs grafted on Mosaic technique using diverse objets to overcome the problems of lacking materials and design skills. For the purposes, this study analysed the concept and characteristics of Mosaic technique based on bibliographical data, Internet web-sites and previous studies, and presented 4 pieces of UV gel nail art design using diverse materials of cellophane paper, gel, hologram and stone as a convergence design. As a result, this study discovered that there is a possibility that more materials would be used and the limitation of existing nail art can be overcome through a suggestion of new convergence nail art. It is expected that further research would be conducted on satisfaction of clients in the developed skills and the result will be helpful to more sale in nail shops.

The Relationship between the Professionalism of Nail Technicians and Job Performance: Centered on the Mediating Effect of Customer Orientation. (네일리스트의 전문성과 업무성과 간 관계: 고객지향성의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper was to empirically verify the effect of nail list maturity on work performance and customer orientation, and analyzed 300 adult female nail beauty workers (nailists) working at nail salons across the country. As a result of investigating the research hypothesis, it was found that the maturity of the nail list had a significant effect on work performance, and the maturity of the nail list had a significant effect on customer orientation. Given the increasing number of novice nail artists, it is inferred that the maturity of a nail artist can directly manifest in procedural outcomes and revenue aspects. Consequently, strategies to enhance the maturity of nail artists are expected to profoundly influence customer orientation and job performance. There was a scarcity of prior research discussing maturity from the perspective of nail beauty or other beauty fields (skin, hair, etc.), which posed challenges in our discourse. We anticipate in-depmore th follow-up research in the future.
