  • The purpose of this study was to develop a short biomedical ethics tool for healthcare workers, compare it with pre-existing tool, and increase reliability. Data were collected from 211 healthcare workers working in G-do. Exploratory factor analysis was carried out using Varimax rotation extraction method in IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. Convergent validity of the tool was verified by regression and correlation analysis with original tool score. Reliability was verified by calculating intraclass correlation coefficient and internal consistency coefficient. The short, reduced 21 questions tool reflected 84% of pre-existing tool's biomedical ethics. Its reliability was higher than the 29 question tool for nursing students, but there were differences in the components of subdomains and reliability coefficient. Additional development of questions through qualitative research and interviews are needed to increase reliability of the subdomains. Measurement of biomedical ethics dilemma with the tool that has validity and reliability is needed, followed by replication studies.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and validate Inventory of Peer Relation for middle and high school students. First of all, in Study 1, 113 preliminary test questions were developed after reviewing of precedent studies in order to develop the Inventory of Peer Relation for Middle and High School Students. In Study 2, for the factor analysis, the survey was conducted for 600 students in three middle schools and three high schools in Busan to develop a final test, and finally 42 questions of them were selected. In Study 3, correlation analysis with another two inventories of peer relation was conducted to validate the developed Inventory of Peer Relation. The Inventory of Peer Relation developed through this study can be said reliable and valid. We made some suggestions for future studies.

  • BCBS (Broad Conceptualization of Beauty Scale) is a measurement tool designed to evaluate the standards of an individual's inner beauty. In this study, reliability and feasibility were verified for 100 female college students using the final Korean version BCBS 9 questions that were formed through the adaptation process. As a result of checking the internal consistency to verify the reliability of Korean version BCBS, it showed high reliability with Cronbach's 𝜶 0.878, subjective beauty 0.874, physical beauty 0.808 and psychological beauty 0.880. As a result of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis to verify feasibility of Korean version BCBS, feasibility was secured by showing significant results in all items. Therefore, through this study, the Korean version BCBS was proved to be a useful measurement tool that comprehensively evaluates the concept of women's broad scale beauty, and using this as basic data, it is believed that it can be used for professional development and research on internalized beauty for female college students.

  • This study was done to develop and to evaluate a stress of clinical practice scale for nursing students. Based on a literature review, the first preliminary 40 questions were developed, which content validation by expert reviewers and a pilot study. To evaluate the validity and reliability of this preliminary scale, data were collected from 426 nursing students. Thirty seven items were selected for the final scale, and categorized into 8 factors explaining 66.61% of total variance. The convergent validity and determinant validity were 100.0%, respectively. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the 37 items was .96. The scale developed in this study that can be used to measure the stress with clinical practice of nursing students.

  • This paper describe the optimal design of geodetic network by analytical technique based on the quality criteria of network. We described an example of geodetic network design taking into account the precision, reliability and robustness that are the main criteria of network design. The main goal of this paper is to evaluate the criteria to design the geodetic network coinciding with the criteria of high precision(error ellipse, 2DRMS, CEP), reliability(internal and external reliability) and robustness(maximum shear strain, principal strain, dilatation). The network design parameters computed in this study show that precision and reliability has not much improved by about 2% and 3%, respectively, than the observed network, while robustness has much improved by about 3, 100%. It also shown that maximum errors of precision, reliability and robustness were reduced by 5%, 7% and 16,957%, respectively.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a children's ego-resilience measurement scale and to examine the reliability and validity of the developed scale. Subjects consisted of 289 children of age 3 to 5 attending kindergarten and daycare centers located in Gwangju city and Chonnam province. Factor analysis, correlation analysis and reliability analysis were conducted using SPSS 18.0 and Amos 18.0 programs. The children's ego resilience scale consists of 26 items of 5 factors(attention concentration, emotion control, self efficacy, empathy, peer relationship) after the exploratory factor analysis. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed that RMSEA is .059, NNFI is .901 and CFI is .913. Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient were acceptable with this study's scale and KPRC. Chronbach ${\alpha}$ were also acceptable. Thus, the developed children's ego resilience measurement scale is reliable and valid.

  • This study was conducted in order to evaluate validity and reliability of the Korean version scale to measure maternal satisfaction in normal birth(KSMMS-normal birth). The SMMS-normal birth was administered to 205 postnatal women, together with the perception of birth experience scale. An exploratory factor analysis revealed six factors solution for the twenty three-item scale. Confirmatory factor analysis supported good convergent and discriminant validities, and factor correlations ranged from 0.11 to 0.57. The KSMMS-normal birth showed good concurrent validity with the perception of birth experience scale. The Cronbach alpha for the total scale was .91. It ranged between .80 to .90 for six subscales. The KSMMS-normal birth is reliable and valid instrument to measure maternal satisfaction. Therefore this scale can be used to assess maternal satisfaction in normal birth at hospital during the postpartum 2nd and 3rd day.

  • To study reliability and validity of PWI, this newly developed self-administered questionnaire which measures stress, was given to medical students. All respondent(133) were followed 4 weeks later and 92 were retested. Cronbach's $\alpha$ coefficient of data was 0.93. Test-retest reliability measured by Pearson's correlation coefficient was 0.72(P<0.01). Exploratory factor analysis(EFA) performed by principal axis factor method without iteration and by varimax rotation explored 13 principal components(eigenvalues > 1). After exploring 4 factor structure according to previous study results, factor 1 showed good agreement but other factors did not. Confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) showed poor fit of 4 factor model to data. In the further study, it may be considered to model that has unidimensional factor structure.

  • This study is to clarify the effect of security majoring students' loyalty on department to future direction and job choice to suggest basic data for supporting student to prepare more active school life and future. The research object is security majoring male/female students among Y university in Gyeonggi-do Y city, K university in Gyeongsangbuk-do G city, k university in Gyeonggi-do S city between 1 Fab 2012 to 20 Aug 2012 and we randomly extracted the sample. In this research, we performed exploratory factor analysis and used principal components analysis and selected varimax direct rotation method to prove the reasonability of the contents. We then use the Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ value to measure the trust coefficient and during the process, the repeated or questions lack of correlation were deleted with judgment of researcher to improve trusty and reasonability.

  • From April 9th to May 4th 2007, making a random selection of three private dental clinics in Busan, this study investigated the fear for dental treatment for 178 adults over twenty. Using four items of General Characteristics and DFS of twenty items, the degree of fear for dental treatment was evaluated by self administrated questionnaire. The obtained results were as follows. 1. Reliability analysis of each factor in details was 0.662~0.921 in Cronbach' alpha Coefficients. For Cronbach' alpha Coefficients was over 0.6. Dental Fear Survey Scale was reliable. 2. Dental stimulus response scale of three factors appeared more fear than two factors of the rest. The fear for dental treatment was higher in wemen, older ages, high education level and high income. 3. Factor of dental stimulus response scale, avoidance of dentistry and physiologic response scale accounted for 66.1%($R^2=66.1$)of the variation in dental fear factor as a result from stepwise regression analysis.
