Investigation of Insect Pests and Injury Characteristics of Stathmopoda auriferella (Walker) on Kiwi Fruit Tree (참다래를 가해하는 해충과 우점종인 열매꼭지나방의 가해특성)

  • This study was carried out to investigate insect specles of Kiwi fruit, and ecological characteristicsof Stathmopoda m Chonnam province from 1991 to 1993 Twelve families and thirteen specieswere identified during the study. Sfothmopoda aurijerello and mulberp scale were key insect pestsamong them.   • 맛이 좋고, 위생적인 냉동딸기 수요 증가 딸기는 생과 형태로는 저장이 매우 어려워 연중 소비를 위하여 냉동딸기로 가공되고 있다. 최근 냉동딸기의 수요가 확대되면서 소비자의 기대도 높아져 딸기 고유의 항과 맛이 유지되면서 안전하고 품질이 좋은 냉동딸기를 요구하고 있다. 냉동딸기는 꼭지를 제거한 후 단순히 냉동한 것으로만 보일 수 있으나 위생적인 환경에서 딸기의 품질과 안전성을 고려한 가공과정을 거쳐 제조되고 있다.

Characteristics of Radon Reduction of Small-scale Water Supply System (소규모수도시설 지하수의 라돈저감 특성)

  • It is possible that radon removal in groundwater of small-scale water supply system (SWSS) is caused by atmospheric storage and aeration facilities installed in the water tank. Radon removal rates at water tank and tap of the 32 SWSS during summer season ranged from -69.3% to 62.7% (average 25.7%) and from -64.3% to 83.1% (average 30.3%) while those of 16 SWSS during autumn season ranged from 21.3% to 78.0% (average 42.8%) and from 17.7% to 66.9% (average 44.8%). The reason of higher radon removal rate in the autumn season compared with the summer season is due to higher atmospheric storage effect by lower groundwater use rate. The radon removal rates at the water tank from 12 SWSS were 47.4~94.0% (average 78.9%), in which the removal rates at the atmospheric storage are also included. Atmospheric storage and aeration can be used to reduce radon concentration in SWSS groundwater. For more efficient use of radon reduction, further studies are necessary to assess the radon removal rate considering variation conditions of radon concentration in groundwater, size and forms of water tank, change in groundwater usage rate, aeration capacity and ventilation facilities.

Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory Activities of Water-soluble Extracts from Different Parts of Kojongsi Persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) (고종시 감나무 부위별 수용성 추출물의 항산화 및 항염 활성)

  • Kojongsi persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) is the major cultivar of dried persimmon in Korea. The purpose of this study was to investigate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of water-soluble extracts from the calyx (PCE), peel (PPE) and leaf (PLE) of Kojongsi persimmon. PCE showed the highest total phenolic and flavonoid contents. In addition, the antioxidant activities (diphenylpicrylhydrazyl, 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid), nitric oxide and reducing power) of PCE were higher than those of PPE and PLE. Moreover, PCE, PPE and PLE significantly suppressed the production of inflammatory mediators (nitric oxide and $prostaglandinE_2$) and pro-inflammatory cytokines (tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ and interluekin-$1{\beta}$) by lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells in a dose-dependent manner. PCE showed the highest anti-inflammatory activity. Thus, these results suggest that the calyx of Kojongsi persimmon may be highly valuable as a natural product owing to its high-quality functional components as well as its-antioxidant, ant-iinflammatory activities.

  • Supersonic jets impinging on $60^{\cire}$ wedge were investigated to obtain fundamental design data for jet deflector It was of interest to study flow phenomena such as shock interaction and separation induced by shear layer. Experiments using supersonic cold flow system were conducted for Schlieren flow visualization and measurement of surface pressure. Numerical results were compared with the experimental results. The major parameters are underexpansion ratio, distance from nozzle to apex and design Mach number. Flow conditions were obtained for the wedge shock to attach on or detach from the wedge. The dominant feature of flow-field is shock pattern induced by the Interaction between the wedge shock and the barrel shock.

  • 기존에 흔히 볼 수 있는 수도의 원리상 적절한 온도를 맞추는 데 시간과 어려움이 있다. 온수 방향으로 꼭지를 돌리게 되면 내부온수배관의 물의 양이 많아지고, 냉수 방향으로 돌리게 되면 냉수배관의 물의 양이 많아지게 된다. 이 과정에서 자신이 필요한 적절한 온도를 찾기 위해 꼭지를 좌우로 돌리며 온도를 맞춰야 한다. 이 필요성을 덜기 위해 아두이노를 이용한 수온조절 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 아두이노의 수온센서와 스텝모터를 이용하여 구현하며 제안하는 시스템을 통해 어린아이를 목욕시키거나 하는 상황에 큰 편리성을 가져다 줄 것이다. 기존에 발표된 시스템과 달리 단순한 기능만을 가지며 저렴한 이 시스템은 향후 일반가정에 좀 더 보급되기 적합하여 많은 사람들이 화상의 위험과, 물의 소비를 줄이는데 도움을 줄 것이다.

Graph state 기법을 이용한 6-큐비트 양자 오류 정정 부호 설계

  • 본 고에서는 그래프 상태(graph state)를 이용하여 양 자 오류 정정 부호를 설계하는 기법에 대해서 알아본다. 그래프 상태는 꼭짓점과 각 꼭짓점을 연결하는 변으로 구성된다. 그래프 상태에서 각 꼭지점은 실제 코드워드의 각 큐비트에 해당하며 꼭지 점을 연결하는 변은 양자 오류 정정 부호의 부호화 방식을 결정한다. 본 고에서는 그래프 상태의 특성을 알아보고 그래프 상태 기반 양자 오류 정정 부호 설계 기법을 이용하여 단일 오류를 검출할 수 있는 6-큐비트 양자 오류 정정 부호 설계 방법에 대해 알아본다.

Residue Distribution of Chlorothalonil, Kresoxim-methyl and Procymidone among Different Parts of Hot Pepper Plants (고추 부위별 chlorothalonil, kresoxim-methyl 및 procymidone 농약성분의 잔류 분포)

  • The residue distribution ratio of pesticides among the flesh, stem and leaves of hot peppers were investigated to assure the safety of pepper powder and pepper leaves. Mixed solutions of chlorothalonil (wettable powder), kresoximmethyl (water dispersible granules) and procymidone (wettable powder) were applied once onto pepper plants in a plastic film house. After 7 days, the fruits and leaves were harvested and the fruits were divided into the flesh and stems. Pesticide residues in each pepper part were then analyzed by gas chromatography. The results showed that the concentration ratios of the chemicals in the flesh:stem and flesh:leaf ranged from 1:2-5 and 1:11-39, respectively, depending on the chemical evaluated. The observed flesh:stem ratio indicates that the pesticide content of the pepper powder product can increase by 20% if pepper stems are included in the powder product. The Korea Food and Drug Administration does not set a pesticide maximum residue level (MRL) for pepper leaves if a residue ratio in leaves over flesh is more than ten times. Results from this study support non-MRL status on the pepper leaves for the studied pesticides. Additionally, we recommend that the chlorothalonil product of a wettable powder type include the phrase "prohibition of distribution or sale for pepper leaves as food" because chlorothalonil highly resided in pepper leaves as more than twenty-four times that is a criterion level to determine an inclusion of the phrase in the label of pesticide product.
