A Study on Location Determining Choice Factor and Satisfaction Evaluation of Companies in Free Economic Zones: Focusing on Incheon and Busan·Jinhae Free Economic Zones (경제자유구역 입주결정 선택기준 및 만족도 평가: 인천, 부산·진해 경제자유구역 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes Korea's Free Economic Zone (FEZ), by particularly focusing on Incheon and Busan-Jinhae zones, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and a questionnaire survey analysis. The study compares important selection criteria and satisfaction of resident companies in Incheon and Busan-Jinhae FEZs. The findings are as follows. First, the AHP method results suggest that companies in both Incheon and Busan-Jinhae FEZs are affected by location, economic society, and policy. In subordinate determining factor for land, it is ordered by ease of gaining land, inexpensive rental fee in Incheon and by convenient access to close markets and inexpensive rental fee in Busan-Jinhae. Second, the questionnaire survey results suggest high adjacent market size and easy access in Incheon FEZ and sound logistics infrastructure in Busan-Jinhae FEZ. For this reason, Incheon has a high value of logistics infrastructure and potential market near metropolitan area and Busan-Jinhae, has a high value of transportation Infrastructure near industrial district. These findings will contribute to policy data for activating and promoting the Free Economic Zone.

  • This study examined the impact of self-directed learning on job satisfaction, organizational commitment. Also, it verified moderating effects of organizational culture(centralization, decentralization) in the era of global competition. The results of this study are as followings: 1) self-directed learning(acceptance of responsibility for learning) is positively related to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, respectively. 2) centralization moderated on the relationship between self-directed learning(acceptance of responsibility for learning, self-confidence as a learner, future orientation) and organizational commitment. 3) decentralization moderated on the relationship between self-directed learning(future orientation) and organizational commitment. We discussed the implications of these of findings for both theory and practice.

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of health satisfaction and family relationship satisfaction on depression among low-income middle-aged men who are expected to have great economic difficulties. The mediating effect was analyzed to see what kind of change in the depressive state according to the social acquaintance satisfaction. Frequency analysis and regression analysis were performed using SPSS statistics program using data from the 15th Korea Welfare Panel for middle-aged adults aged 50 to 64 years. As a result of analyzing the mediating effect of social acquaintance satisfaction on depression, it showed a partial mediating effect on health satisfaction and a fully mediating effect on family relationship satisfaction. The result of this study is to clearly reveal the effect of service support for improving social acquaintance satisfaction for middle-aged men on mental health such as depression, in the future effective standards can be provided for validation of the validity of social network support services for middle-aged men.

An Effect of Employment Stability by Business Incubator Manager on Performance by Business Incubation (창업보육센터 매니저의 고용안정성이 창업보육 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • To determine the effect of employment stability by business incubator manager on the service level and management performance by new businesses, the survey of 215 businesses at 50 business incubator centers over the country was conducted. This study is to confirm that employment stability by business incubator manager is one of significant variables to support growth of new businesses. As a result of study, with respect to the effect of employment stability by business incubator manager on the supportive service level and management performance by new businesses, the group with higher employment stability by manager revealed statistically more significant effect than the group with less did, and the group with higher employment stability showed higher manager performance as well. Furthermore, as a result of analyzing the relationship between supportive service level and management performance and performance by manager, as performance by manager is higher, the service satisfaction and management performance by new businesses were higher. This indicates that to support successful new business by the business incubator, the center shall ensure employment stability of a manager to establish the condition of stable support for new businesses, and that through enhancement of professionalism by a manager, the foundation to support growth of new businesses shall be prepared as well.

  • This study attempts to investigate the IT utilization and e-business level of the small and medium companies in order to facilitate their e-commerce efforts. Results show that they have basic IT infrastructures such as internet and PC, but they use their IT resources mainly for office automations. Major problems with such low level of IT utilization are in their lack of manpower, skill, and fund. Considering above issues, web hosting service is believed as a good measure to alleviate their problems. Hence, this paper suggests that utilization of the web-based ASP can be a viable solution for the currently revealed issues. Also, development of creative IT application(business) cases and their advertizement can lead small and medium finns to more productive IT investments, which requires more diverse IT performance measurements such as BSC(balanced scorecard), other than traditional ROI.

Effect of Experienced Job Burnout on Individual Performances (번아웃의 경험이 개인성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study focuses on the effect of experienced job burnout on individual performances. The objective is to analyse the effectiveness of supportive leadership behavior in response to experienced job burnout among employees. For empirical analysis, data were collected from 482 employees working in a Korean conglomerate. The empirical results indicate that emotional exhaustion and diminished personal accomplishment have a negative impact on job satisfaction, however a positive impact on turnover intention. Supportive leadership is found to moderate the relationship between burnout and job satisfaction. There is no moderation effect between burnout and turnover intention. The current research highlights the fact that supportive leadership can determine job satisfaction in respond to workers' experienced job burnout. The theoretical and managerial implications for overcoming workers' job burnout are discussed.

The Effects of Perceived Quality toward User Performance and Corporate Performance in Production Information Systems (생산정보시스템에 대한 품질인식이 사용자 성과와 기업성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceived quality toward user performance and corporate performance in production information systems. For this purpose, a research model and hypotheses are developed based on the relevant literature reviews. Data have been collected from 132 enterprises which have implemented production information systems, and the research hypotheses were tested by covariance structural model analysis. The results of this empirical study are summarized as follows. First, production information quality and support service quality are confirmed to have a positive effect on user's satisfaction, however, I found no evidence of a statistically significant relationship between system quality and user's satisfaction. Second, all of three quality factors which are production information quality, system quality, and support service quality have positive influence on system usage. Third, user's satisfaction has positive influence on system usage, and both of user's satisfaction and system usage have positive influence on performance improvement. Based on these findings, this study suggested the implications, as well as limitations and further research directions.

A Study on Welfare Satisfaction of the University Hospital Radiological Technologist (대학병원방사선사의 복지만족에 관한 연구)

  • This research is a study on the welfare satisfaction of radiological technologists in university hospital, and was conducted in order to analysis of welfare factors and improvements. The survey was conducted on radiological technologist of a university hospital in Gyeongnam from July 14th 2014 to August 14th 2014, and we analyzed 121 of the questionnaire, which was retrieved by distributing. As a result, we looked at the welfare level of satisfaction by welfare hospital factors, each of the satisfaction scores were living welfare supports($2.83{\pm}0.43$), financial supports($4.25{\pm}0.65$), housing supports($2.28{\pm}0.46$), educational supports($2.58{\pm}0.50$), health medical supports($3.02{\pm}0.56$), culture and leisure supports($2.79{\pm}0.45$), other welfare supports($2.70{\pm}0.48$) points. The level of satisfaction with the hospital welfare support factors of average score level it was analyzed. It is important that is providing effective hospital welfare through survey for hospital welfare needs and benchmarking of welfare system of general corporate.

  • 오늘날 기업의 인터넷 활용상태를 보면 인터넷을 통한 기업내의 인트라넷(Intranet), 기업간의 엑스트라넷(Extranet)이 활발하게 구축되고 있으며, 전자상거래 시도를 촉진하는 매개체로서의 역할도 충실하게 수행하고 있는 실정이다. 인터넷 환경에서 전자상거래가 활성화를 이루면서 웹사이트의 시스템을 제대로 구축하고자 하는 노력이 시도되었으며, 그 적용범위 및 가능성이 증대되었다. 기업의 입장에서 보면, 인터넷상의 모든 기업이 경쟁자가 되므로, 생존을 위한 더욱 치밀한 기술 및 기법이 필요하다. 전 세계의 고객으로부터 정보사용 수준에 관한 요구가 쇄도할 수 있으며, 그 요구는 현재의 수준보다 훨씬 다양한 형태로 나타날 수 있다. 이러한 고객의 욕구를 만족시키기 위해서는 단순한 정보를 제시하는 것에서 벗어나 전문지식을 이용한 웹사이트 시스템을 개발하는 것이 필연적이다. 이 상황에 적절한 대책 사업인 경남지역 기계산업정보화사업을 중점으로 해서, 그 동안 추진해 온 사업을 앞으로의 전국 대상으로 한 관련된 기업체들을 보다 더 확대 수용할 수 있게 정부차원에서 전략적인 방안이 마련되어야 하겠다. 전자상거래를 성공적으로 적용하기 위한 전략적 방안은 국가차원에서 지역특성을 감안한 정보화 사업을 제대로 수행을 해야 한다. 이는 인프라 구축과 더불어 지속적인 사업이 되어야 한다. 대외적인 여세를 대비해 보면, 사업 추진해온 경남지역을 중심으로 한 경남지역의 4,877개 기계산업체를 대상으로 구성된 ASP(Application Service Provider) 기반 인프라를 현실화로 기하기 위해 국가차원에서 지속적으로 지원이 이루어진 여건 하에서 이용업체와 지원기관의 적극적인 협조체제가 이루어져야 만이 다가온 국제적 변화에 대응할 수가 있다는 것이다.
