Analysis of Elementary and Middle School Students' Perceptions of Frequency and Type Relating to Question in Science Class Context (과학 수업 상황에 따른 질문의 유형과 빈도에 대한 초·중학생의 인식 분석)

  • This study is to analyze the 2289 students questionnaires from 3rd to 9th grade students in order to analyze the students' perceptions change aspect by their grade about the frequency and type of students' question during various science class context. After the class contexts proposed in the questionnaire subcategorize into 19 subitems about 4 areas of class content, class pattern, class material and class process, this study examined the frequency and type of students' question during a science class by each item. The results of this study were as follows. First, the type of students' question was that the most frequent was understanding question and the second was memory question and these both types were half frequency. There was no special tendency related the change of students' question type by school year. Second, the frequency of 4th grade students' question was the highest among other school year students and the frequency of students' question was lowered by the higher school year. The change of students' question by school year was the biggest between 3rd and 4th grade. The class strategies for improving the class effect reflect that the various and active students' question by class context and school year stimulates students' thinking and also builds up the active class environment.

Neuropretective effect of Kupunggibodan, Gamisamul-tang and Whangryunhaedok-tang on the ischemia-induced learning and memory deficits by MCAO in the rats (중풍 한방처방전의 효능비교 연구 ; 황련해독탕, 거풍지보단, 가미사물탕이 국소 전뇌허혈에 의한 학습과 기억에 미치는 효과)

  • Kupunggibodan(KU), Gamisamul-tang(GA) and Whangryunhaedok-tang(WH) are clinically the most popular prescriptions as an herbal medicine in the treatment of ischemia. In order to compare and evaluate their protective effects on the ischema-induced cognitive deficits by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO), we examined its ability to improve ischemia-induced cell loss and impairements of learning and memory in the Morris water maze and eight-arm radial arm maze. Focal cerebral ischemia produced a marked cell loss, decrease in acetylcholinesterase(AchE) reactivity in the hippocampus, and learning and memory deficits in two behavioral tasks. Pretreatment with WH (100 mg/kg, p.o.) produced a substantial increase in acquisition in the Morris water maze. Pretreatment with KU increased the perfomance of the resention test in the Morris water maze. WH, KU and GA caused a significant improvement in choice accuracy in radial arm maze test. WH was superior to KU and GA in perfomance of the radial arm maze test. Consistent with behavioral data, staining with cresyl violet showed that pretreatments with WH, but not KU and GA significantly recovered the ischemia-induced cell loss in the hippcampal CA1 area. In addition, pretreatments with WH and KU recovered the ischemia-induced reduction of AchE reactivity in the hippocampal CA1 area. These results demonstrated that KU, GA and WH have protective effects against ischimea-induced learning and memory impairments and that the efficacy was the order of WH>KU>GA in tratment of ischemia induced memory deficits. The present studies provide an evidence of KU, GA and WH as putative treatment of vascular dementia. A Nutritional Analysis of Chinese Red-headed Centipedes (Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans) from Different Regions of Korea (지역에 따른 국내산 왕지네(Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans (Arthropoda:Chilopoda))의 영양성분 및 유해물질 비교분석)

  • The Chinese red-headed centipede Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans, a member of the arthropod class Chilopoda, is a traditional medicine used for the treatment of several allergic diseases, such as atopy. S. subspinipes mutilans samples were collected from different regions of South Korea: Sancheong, Gyeongnam; Yeonggwang, Jeonnam and Jeju-do. The nutritional values of the centipedes were analyzed to extend the species' applications. The crude protein and fat contents of all samples were high and ranged from 54.9-55.8% and from 26.8-30.6%, respectively. Essential amino acids were present; lysine was the most common and accounted for 3.4-3.6% of the essential amino acids. Glutamic acid, which assists in improving concentration, memory and other cognitive abilities, was the most common non-essential amino acid at 6.8-7.1%. It had a similar content percentage in all three regions' samples. Additionally, unsaturated fatty acids were present, and oleic acid, which prevents cancer and cardiac disease, was the most common at 41.3-48.6% of each sample. Mercury, a hazardous substance, was detected at a range of 0.08-0.11 mg/kg in all samples; the amount was lower than the standard food allowance. Additionally, no pathogenic microorganisms, such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp., were detected. There were no significant differences between the nutritional factors of the S. subspinipes mutilans samples from the three regions. Based on the nutritional analysis, Chinese red-headed centipedes have the potential to be food and medicinal ingredients due to their proteins, essential amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids and nutritive capacities.

Design and Implementation of a Field Experience Activity Support System for Improving Social Skills of Children with Developmental Disabilities (발달장애 아동의 사회적 기술 향상을 위한 현장체험학습 지원 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this thesis, a field experience activity support system is designed and implemented for improving social skills of children with developmental disabilities. The proposed system is designed to allow the students to experience various field activities around their local community. The proposed system has the following characteristics. First, it can improve effectiveness of field experience by providing very practical pre-study information to students. Second, the systems provides very practical and real-world problem-solving abilities rather than providing simple experience and superficial information. Third, the system allows students to change the contents according to their local community environments and purpose of use. Fourth, the system can be used as education for living at home as well as field experience study at schools. After applying the proposed system to students with developmental disabilities, the following positive results are obtained. First, the system have good effect on students with severe developmental disabilities when the system is used for prestudy. Specially those students are highly interested and motivated on study subjects. Second, at real field experience study place, students are well adapted and are very interested in their activities. Third, in the light of post-evaluation after field experience, it is reported that lots of study contents remain in their memory.

  • Records may furnish proof of a particular action, contain information that protects the rights of individuals or government, and document decisions made during the course of government business. As business in and between government agencies will increasingly be conducted through electronic messaging service, the need to manage e-mail messages and systems is the same as for other record management systems concerning the creation of, retention of, and access to public records. Therefore government agencies that use electronic mail(e-mail) have an obligation to make employee aware that e-mail messages, like paper records, must be managed according to established record management procedures. The purpose of this paper is to suggest guidelines and/or strategies on managing e-mail messages as records for agencies which must take steps in order to make, capture, maintain, dispose, store, protect, and provide access to e-mail messages. This paper discusses on the definition of e-mail messages, principles on managing e-mail message, and how to manage e-mail messages as records.

Understanding of Visual storytelling in Information design (정보디자인에서 비주얼 스토리텔링의 이해)

  • Human beings in their perception of the objects perceive the overall characteristics first rather than any parts of the object. In the process of 'information structuralization' and 'information visualization', therefore, it is needed the methods of narrative information representation based on a relationship of cause and effect in order to express effectively the whole messages which designers want to deliver. In this study, according to the concept of narrative information representation, we reviewed the meanings of the visual storytelling. As a result, we found that the visual storytelling has the three key roles which are 'narrative', 'visual communication catalyst', 'interacting'. First, the narrative describes the information logistics flow and it has a role to provide a specific story into information in the process of users' information understanding. Second, in the information design, the visual story telling not only expresses the information structure(story) but also uses the visual expressions to deliver the specific message, which is called visual communication catalyst. Third, the information design goes through the information structuralization and the information visualization stages through the visual storytelling to provide the experience factors to the information users, which is called the interactivity. The research implication is to provide the basis developing an approach method which is able to convey information messages effectively by improving information users' visual cognition and raising information users' memory.

  • Gamification can be more fun and interesting than boring and it can be used for variety of educational subjects. Through the fun and flow of the learner, the learner understands the meaning and context of the problem to be solved. It will be able to collect, analyze and creatively solve data in a way that computers understand. Training through gamification will be an effective and memorable coding education for the efficient learning of coding education among the newly designated compulsory education. It is considered to be highly useful as a convergence study to increase tourism experience. Currently, in the field of school, coding education is mainly conducted using entry and scratch, which are educational programming languages, and coding education using gamification is not extensively used in the current education field. It is also expected to be used to increase the tourism experience, and it can be used to enhance the learner's computational thinking ability and creativity.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse and interpret the way of differentiated expression and changing creative trend following 5-day workweek which has been recently adopted. For this aim 11 pieces of distinctive advertising text were analysed. The criteria for selection of analysing text were relativeness with 5-day workweek and cognitive inconsistency. These texts were negative phrases, exaggerated expression, and excessively humorous appeals. The study revealed the followings: First, 5-day workweek concerned advertising texts were considered as high attention getting and successful in stimulating advertising audiences' curiosity by using the elements opposing the value and belief system formed in the existing audience. Second, consumption-driving lifestyle was found in most expressions for credit cards advertising. Third, hedonic need-oriented lifestyle was typical in young consumer products category. Fourth, family centered lifestyle emphasized meaning of rest and solidarity of family.

  • 인버터 DC 저항용접의 적용성 증대 : 인버터 DC 저항용접 공법이 SPOT, PROJECTON, SEAM, BUTT 등의 공정에 다양하게 적용되어 저항용접 현장에서 고효율, 친환경적 용접 환경을 만드는데 일조 하고 있다. 특히 자동차의 경량화, 충돌내성 증대, 진동 및 내구성 증대, 공간활용 극대화, 새로운 Design 개념 적용 등의 산업전반에 걸쳐 나타나는 신 Trends로 고 장력 철재의 적용 범위가 확대되고 HSS(High Strength Steel), EHSS(Extra High Strength Steel), UHSS (Ultra High strength Steel ; Hot - Formed Steel )등 다양한 철판의 SPOT 저항용접이 필요하게 되었다. 기존의 AC 단상용접의 전력 특성 상 통전 중 무 통전 시간 과 높은 PEAK 전력, 단상 대 전력 소모로 인한 전력 DROP 등의 문제로 인하여 신소재의 용접 시 매우 많은 Spatter가 발생하고, 높은 용접품질의 확보가 어려워 지므로 이를 대체하기 위한 공법으로 MFDC ( 인버터 DC 저항용접공법 )이 적용되고 있다. 인버터 DC 저항용접의 적응제어 : MFDC라는 높은 효율의 용접 전력원이 확보 됨에도 불구하고 용접현장에서는 원 자재, 도금 등의 품질 산포, 프레스 물의 가공산포, 공기압 산포, 전극 과열 및 마모 등의 요인에 의하여 저항용접 산포가 발생하고 있다. 이는 인위적인 조작이 어렵고 불규칙적이며, 어디서나 산재하고 있는 문제이다. 이를 용접전력 제어 법으로 개선하여 일정한 용접성을 확보하기 위한 노력이 적응제어 기법이다. 정 전류, 정 전력 제어는 정량 제어로 용접 물을 비롯한 용접부의 변화와는 관계없이 설정된 일정량의 전력을 공급하기만 하는데 반하여 적응제어는 적절한 용접 작업 시의 용접 물의 상태, 전극의 가압, 표면 상태 등에 따른 변화 페턴을 기억하고 이후 진행되는 용접에 대하여 정상 페턴과의 차이를 감지 이를 보상하므로 고품질의 용접성을 보장하는 제어기법이다. 따라서 다양한 용접 산포 유발 요인에 의해 용접부의 변화가 발생한다 하여도 그 변화를 감지 하고 적절한 용접전력을 공급한다면 고품질의 용접성을 확보하는데 유용한 공법이 될 수 있다. 인버터 DC 저항용접의 SPC 관리 : SPOT 용접 시 획득할 수 있는 다양한 파라메터에 대하여 모니터링 하고 이 자료를 data 화 하여 품질 관리에 응용하게 되면 양산라인에서 반복적으로 발생되는 문제점을 확인 할 수 있고 이를 통계적 방법으로 추적 개선해 나간다면 용접 불량 감소 및 생산성 향상에 도움이 되며 작업자의 공정 능력 향상 및 기업의 기술축적에도 높은 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다. 용접 적응제어와 다양한 파라메터 모니터링이 한 system에서 이루어 질 때 높은 용접성 확보와 불량률 감소, 원가절감, 생산성 향상 등의 효과가 극대화 될 것이다.

The effects of creative teaching technique applied to nursing major curriculum on critical thinking disposition, problem solving process, and self leadership (간호학 전공교과목에 적용한 창의적 교수법이 비판적 사고성향, 문제해결과정, 셀프리더십에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of creative teaching technique(CTT) on critical thinking disposition(CTD), problem solving process(PSP), and self-leadership(SL) in 5 majors of first to third grades in a college nursing department. CTT was developed to promote memory and practical ability. The study was conducted from August 1 to December 31 in 2017, and the survey was performed before and after applying the CTT. As a result, there was no difference in CTD, PSP, and SL in the first graders whom applied various teaching techniques to one subject. But CTD was 6.8point(p<0.001), PSP was 7.5~7.9point(p<0.001) and SL was 2.9~3.3point(p<0.001) improved in the second and third grades whom applied similar teaching techniques in two subjects. In order to improve the students' core competency, it is more effective for students to apply one or two methods repeatedly in several subjects than to apply various methods to one subject. Since the CTT was more effective in the group that selected the major depending on aptitude and interest, it is necessary to develop various teaching and learning strategies to enhance the interest in nursing major.
