A Study on Project Performance in Cloud Computing : Focus on User Experience of GoogleDocs (클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 프로젝트 수행 성과에 관한 연구 : GoogleDocs 사용 경험을 중심으로)

  • There are expectations about future internet technology with IT development by end-users. Cloud computing is attracted to satisfy those demands. However, adoption of cloud computing is not active that much. Therefore, this study verified how cloud computing environment affects performance of team project. We conducted empirical study on performance of team project with cloud computing as technology tool focusing on Task-Technology Fit Model. We collected samples that were undergraduate and graduate school students and had experience on initial cloud computing such as Google-Docs and Webhard when they conducted team project for assignment. We focused on accessibility and reliability as task-technology fit and those variables treated as first order factor. Result showed that cloud computing is suitable technology tool for team project. This study suggests positive effects of cloud computing for collaboration by proving perceived fit and performance in initial cloud computing.

Performance Enhancement of Flue Gas Desulfurization System with Structural Constraints in 500 MW Coal Fired Power Plants (구조적 제약조건을 갖는 500 MW 석탄화력발전소 탈황설비의 성능개선)

  • To meet both increasing social demand for reduction of fine dust and the strengthened air pollutant emission standards, this paper indicated performance enhancement of FGD with structural constraints in 500 MW coal fired thermal power plant's. Through modifying internal facilities for flue gases to make swirl in the absorption tower, it made turbulence and increased the efficiency of material transfer, the reaction area and time with the limestone slurry. Therefore, it could reduce dust and enhance the performance of collecting the SO2. As a result, desulfurization efficiency was improved from 91.61% to 98.43% and dust removal efficiency was improved from 77.4% to 87.08%. Emission density is 7.85 ppm of SO2 and 4.67 mg/㎥ of dust. This is a level that satisfies emission limit of 25 ppm of SO2 and 5 mg/㎥ of dust which are the air pollutant emission standards of 2023. The performance enhancement method of this study is expected to be effectively applied to other coal-fired power plants with similar constraints.

  • VE is used as a powerful tool to add value to facilities by improving functionality and reducing costs. By identifying the client's requirements in the VE process and reflecting them in the quality model, the developed alternatives meet the client's requirements. However, there is no process to verify how the developed alternatives reflect the needs of the client through functional analysis, idea generation and evaluation. The purpose of this study was to develop, verify, and prove the effectiveness of a methodology for evaluating client satisfaction with alternatives developed during the VE Job Plan. The KANO model, which can identify the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of requirements in product planning, was set as a methodology for alternative verification procedures of VE, and was improved and applied to the purpose of this study. As a result, the alternative evaluation method developed in this study was found to be useful. It is expected that the KANO model will be used to evaluate the satisfaction of VE alternatives in the VE Job Plan analysis.

A Framework for IoT-Based Convergence Personalized Menu Recommendation System (IoT 기반의 융합 맞춤형 식단추천시스템 프레임워크)

  • To create a personal menu, there are a number of considerations. Personal menus are different depending on the dietary therapy for disease, diet for weight control. In addition, the menu you choose, depending on the personal preference and the season, the weather, current personal feelings may differ. An individual should expect to recommend a balanced diet, taking nutritional status just for health care. In this paper, we propose a personalized menu recommendations System framework to meet such needs. To recommend menus the system receives data of the body's individual circumstances, ingredients situation, environmental conditions, psychological condition, emotional condition and provides a recommended menu by performing the inference using the ontology generated from external application systems. In order to provide such services, Internet of Things (IoT) environment should be the foundation. In this paper, we propose a personalized diet recommendation system framework in the IoT standardization environment that has oneM2M common service platform.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop Korean-style tractors of international comp etitive advantage which satisfy consumers' needs based on the research of large size ones. The overall process of this study is to generate appropriate design process and to apply quantitative analysis method to each steps of it and finally to suggest objective product design development system. For this, we firstly selected important trac -tor design concepts from the analysis of current market and consumer perception, next did conjoint analysis with the extract -ed design attributes and attribute levels. Finally, we decided preferred designs of ea -ch segments based on conjoint analysis. Here we selected only one most preferred tractor design of all due to narrow domest -ic market situation. This study may contribute to the customer oriented design development with the appli cation to many other fields of design. Also, it may contribute to all design related not only academic fields but to practitional fields.

  • This paper deals with the practical experience and lessons to develop a method of course-embedded assessment for program outcomes in Computer Science & Information Engineering. In engineering education, ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) has been nominated as an official accreditation from Korean government under some conditions of fulfillment. One of the conditions is enforcement of course-embedded assessment for program outcomes. In this paper, a method of course-embedded assessment in Computer Science & Information Engineering is suggested. The case study was done in a basic project course which includes the special assessment methods in project courses. The case study of course-embedded assessment in a basic project course was given with consideration for each step, that is, set up of program outcomes which are highly related to the course, selection of assessment tools such as written examination and project-based assessment, set up of assessment criteria, implementation of course-embedded assessment, and analysis of results. The proposed method is expected to be a good example to construct the whole strategy for course-embedded assessment in Computer Science & Information Engineering.

  • The purpose of this study was to delve into all sorts of literature concerned in a bid to suggest how the Public Law Enforcement and private Security sector could join forces in preventing crimes and guaranteeing the safety of people. Quite naturally, crime has increased greatly to become one of the major social problems. Crime has been conventionally recognized as 'something' to be prevented and controlled by public law enforcement. However, the rate of crime increase has been so rapid that public law enforcement alone could not effectively control the everincreasing and diversified crimes in our society. To serve as a qualified partner for the police, private security industry should strive to secure excellent manpower and provide education for workers to improve their qualifications. Specifically, they should put sustained efforts into diversifying the types of security business and creating a new market to extend their scope of business and become more competitive. Intensified collaboration between the Public Law Enforcement and private Security security sector is expected to create new synergy in addressing people's needs for safety and enhancing their quality of life.

A Priority Evaluation Methodology for Spin-off of Defense Technology : Patent Analysis and AHP Approach (국방 기술의 민수화 우선순위 평가 방법론 : 특허 분석 및 계층분석과정 (AHP) 기반)

  • Dual-use technology, upon its effective development, can be a highly efficient technology that may be utilized for both achieving industry competitiveness and building National Security. Although research needs for such development methodology and call for corresponding efforts have long been proposed, actual outputs have not reached its desired level. Hence, this paper aims to provide more concrete and quantitative process in technology planning used to activate development of dual-use technology, considering dual usability and transferability of such technologies. In such effort, we propose use of patent analysis and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for determining priorities for spin-off defense technology. First, the necessity of R&D and potential spin-off are measured based on patent information. Second, the necessity of R&D results from a quantitative analysis and the potentials spin-off are derived from analysis of patent citations. Then, AHP is used to calculate the importance of evaluating factors, and to assess alternative scores. Finally, we present the result of spin-off priority. A case study on the Korea defense technology is presented to illustrate the proposed method. We expect this study to make contribution in vision making of the military R&D spending.

  • 인터넷은 학교 교육은 물론 기업의 교육을 변화시키고 있다. 인터넷을 학습에 활용하는 이러닝(electronic learning)은 1990년대 말에 도입되어 7년 이상 경과되었다. 이러닝은 오프라인교육(집체교육)에 비해 시간과 공간의 제약을 받지 않고 비용이 저렴하며 반복학습이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 이러한 특성 때문에 이러닝은 지역간, 계층간 교육 불평등을 해소하면서 사회 구성원의 학습욕구를 충족시킬 수 있다. 이러닝은 평생교육의 일환으로 학교 교육은 물론 기업 교육과 사회 교육을 변화시키면서 점차 확산되고 있다. 지금까지 이러닝에 대해 연구된 논문들은 주로 이러닝을 사용하게 하는 주요 요인에 대해 초점이 맞춰져 있었다. 그러나 아쉽게도 이러닝은 초기에 기대했던 만큼 크게 확산되지는 않은 실정이다. 따라서 확산되지 않은 요인을 확인하고 이러닝 보급을 확산시킬 방안을 찾는 것이 매우 중요하게 부각되고 있다. 따라서 향후에는 이러닝에 대한 연구의 초점이 이러닝을 왜 채택하지 않고 있는가에 맞춰져야 한다. 이와 같은 연구의 필요성에 따라 본 연구에서는 이러닝을 왜 사용하지 않는가라는 기존의 입장과는 정반대의 관점에서 이러닝을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서 규명하고자 하는 주요 가설은 다음과 같다. 가설1: 이러닝 단점은 채택의도에 부의 영향을 미친다. 가설2-1: 이러닝장점은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설2-2: 이러닝장점은 용이성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설2-3: 이러닝장점은 유용성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설3-1: 재미는 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설3-2: 재미는 유용성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설3-3: 재미는 용이성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설4: 유용성은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설5: 용이성은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설6: 용이성은 유용성에 정의 영향을 미친다. 본 연구의 대상은 자발적으로 이러닝을 채택할 수 있는 대학생을 대상으로 하였고, 설문 데이터 분석을 통한 실증연구를 수행하였다. 분석방법으로는 PLS 분석도구를 사용하였다. 분석결과 가설6을 제외하고는 모두 유용한 것으로 입증되었다.
