This research was performed to confirm the four emotional eating types and examine the differences in BMI, ego resilience, and the level of college adaptation among those types. The total of 485 Korean college students (male 249, female 236) participated in this study. The main results were as follows, First, the emotional eating types were divided into four types based on positive emotional eating and negative emotional eating, and the type of more - eating with positive emotion and less? eating with negative emotion was the largest one among all the types. Second, there were no significant distinctions on frequency between emotional eating types and BMI. Third, individuals with less - eating for both positive and negative emotions showed the highest ego resilience level, whereas those with more - eating for both positive and negative emotions showed the lowest. Fourth, individuals with less - eating for both positive and negative emotions showed the highest score in the level of adaptation in college whereas those with more - eating for negative emotion and less - eating for positive emotion showed the lowest. Limitations of the present study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
In previous studies, stress in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) work environment was focused on lowering work performance by negatively affecting the emotions of organizational members. In the current corona pandemic era, as the ratio of organizational members working from home in a smart environment increases, the need for research on the effects of positive and negative stress on work performance is being raised. Accordingly, by applying the Affective Event Theory to the emotional effects of stress on employees' emotional responses, the effects on work performance were analyzed by dividing them into positive and negative emotions. Also, the effect of smart work on work performance was analyzed. This survey was commissioned by a research company and analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0 tool. Therefore, based on the research results, it was suggested that stress does not only negatively affect the emotions of employees, but that the challenge stress that appears in the mind to achieve a goal induces positive emotions in the employees' emotions and helps to improve work performance.
The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data which can effectively improve young children's peer interaction behavior. For this purpose, this study examined the differences in the peer interactions of 4-year-old or 5-year-old children according to gender and age, and relationship among young children's temperament and emotion regulation, mother's emotional expressiveness, and teacher-child relationships, and then analyzed the relative influence of these variables on peer interaction behavior. The results are as follows. It appeared that boys' positive peer interaction is higher than girls'. Boys' negative peer interaction also is higher than girls'. In addition, the positive peer interaction of 5-year-old children is higher than that of 4-year-old children. As a result of examining the relative influence on peer interactions, children's emotion regulation ability is the most influential variable.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aging on visuo-spatial attention allocation ability and emotional perception bias. We used the useful field of view (UFOV) task to measure the visuo-spatial attention allocation ability and the emotional perception task to measure positive and negative emotional perception bias. A total of 48 participants took part in this study with 23 participants in the senior group and 25 in the junior group. The senior group showed slower response time and lower accuracy than the junior group in the UFOV task, indicating that the senior group had lower visuo-spatial attention allocation ability than the junior group. In the emotional perception task, the senior group showed both positive and negative emotional perception bias more than the junior group. The correlation analysis showed that the negative emotional perception bias for accuracy in the emotional perception task showed a positive correlation with the response time to the stimuli presented in the visual angle 30° in the UFOV task (r=.289). In addition, positive emotional perception bias for the accuracy in the emotional perception task showed a positive correlation with the accuracy of the stimuli presented in the visual angles 10°, 20°, and 30° in the UFOV task (r=.305, r=.322, and r=.299, respectively). However, it showed a negative correlation with the response time of the stimuli presented in the same location in the UFOV task (r=-.345, r=-.295, r=-.308). These results suggest that aging is associated with a decrease in the visuo-spatial attention allocation ability and perceptual bias toward positive and negative emotions. In addition, the positive and negative emotional perception biases associated with aging are potentially related to the reduced visuo-spatial attention allocation ability.
This study examines the structural relationship between parents' positive parenting attitudes, negative parenting attitudes, emotional problems, and academic helplessness. To this end, the data of 2,590 first-year middle school students in the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 were used to understand the structural relationship between variables. For this study, the correlation between variables was examined with SPSS 21.0, and the structural relationship between variables was identified with AMOS 21.0. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that the positive parenting attitude and negative parenting attitude of parents had a significant effect on academic helplessness. Second, parents' positive and negative parenting attitudes had a significant effect on emotional problems. Third, emotional problems had a significant positive effect on academic ability. Fourth, emotional problems were partially mediated between parents' positive parenting attitudes, negative parenting attitudes, and academic helplessness. In other words, the emotions of adolescents affected by their parents' parenting attitudes affect their learning. Through this study, it is meaningful to confirm that emotional problems can be treated as factors that influence studies, not simply limited to factors influenced by other factors.

Objects : The aim of this study was to determine whether the P3 elicited by the negative emotional stimuli is different to that by positive stimuli. Methods : We measured the event-related potentials, especially P3 elicited by the facial photographs in 12 healthy subjects. Subjects were instructed to feel and respond to the rare target facial photographs imbedded in frequent non-target checkerboards. Results : We found that amplitude of P3 elicited by negative emotional photographs was significantly larger than that by the positive stimuli in healthy subjects. Conclusion : These findings suggest that P3 elicited by facial stimuli may be used as a psychophy-siological variable of the emotional processing.

Objectives: The current study aims to develop Korean Social Affective Visual Stimuli (K-SAVS) to arouse social affect. Methods: K-SAVS is composed of pictures of social situations among East Asians. Each picture contains a negative, positive, or neutral affect. Positive and negative stimuli were presented to one group of subjects. Negative and neutral stimuli were presented to another group of subjects. All subjects were required to fill out Affective Valence and Arousal Manikin. Results: In the initial test, 18 positive affective stimuli pictures (1 set) and 36 negative affective stimuli pictures (2 sets) were chosen from 95 stimuli pictures. Positive affective stimuli pictures showed higher valence (p < 0.001) and lower arousal (p < 0.001) than negative affective stimuli pictures. In the confirmatory test, 18 neutral stimuli pictures (1 set) were additionally selected out of the total of 79 pictures of neutral stimuli pictures and the pictures used in the former experiment. Neutral stimuli pictures showed higher valence (p < 0.001) and lower arousal (p < 0.001) than negative affective stimuli pictures. Conclusion: K-SAVS can be a valid and useful tool for inducing specific social affects of Koreans.
