This study was conducted to compare the resilience, social support, psychosocial stress and burnout between novice and experienced nurses. Data collection was conducted using structured questionnaires for 65 novice nurses with less than one year of clinical experience and 70 experienced nurses with at least seven years of clinical experience working in general hospitals. The results revealed that the resilience of novice nurses was lower than that of experienced nurses, and there were significant differences according to educational level, job satisfaction, and subjective health status. Conversely, experienced nurses' resilience differed according to their position. In addition, the resilience of novice and experienced nurses showed the highest correlation with psychosocial stress (r=-0.633, p<0.001; r=-0.586, p<0.001), while novice nurses' social support (r=0.560, p<0.001) and experienced nurses' burnout (r=-0.404, p=0.001) showed the second highest correlations. These results demonstrate that the factors related to resilience of novice and the experienced nurses differ. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a differentiated program according to the characteristics of resilience of each nurse to improve the resilience of novice and experienced nurses.

The purpose of this study was to determine the mediating effects of stress associated with university life and the stress response of university students' resilience towards the negative emotions of health department students. As a research method, 284 students in the health department of Gyeongsangnamdo were surveyed. Data were analyzed in terms of frequency, correlation and regression using SPSS 22.0 program. The results of the study were as follows. The mean score of resilience towards negative emotions among students in the health department was 4.49, while stress associated with university life was 2.74. As a result of the correlation analysis among resilience towards negative emotion, stress response and stress associated with university life, the negative emotion was found to have a negative correlation with the stress associated with university life and the stress response. Resilience towards negative emotions was found to reduce the stress associated with university life by mitigating the stress response. Therefore, in this study, resilience appears to affect the stress associated with university life and the students' response to it. Therefore, for students in the health department who are exposed to stress associated with university life, the resilience towards negative emotions may be a way of alleviating the stress response.
The purpose of this study was to investigate life stress and resilience levels, and the relationship between life stress and resilience among dental hygiene students. From July 11, 2016 to July 29, 2016, questionnaires were used to survey dental hygiene students in several areas, after which the data collected from 274 questionnaires were analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 21.0 for Windows. The results showed a significant negative correlation between life stress and resilience for dental hygiene students in all factors (p<0.05, p<0.001). This means that higher the resilience, the lower the life stress. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance resilience as a preventive dimension and develop associated program to help dental hygiene students cope with life stress.

This study was conducted to provide basic data to find measures to alleviate the job stress of 119 Emergency Medical Technicians by identifying the mediating effect of resilience for life care in the relationship between stress coping and job stress of 119 Emergency Medical Technicians. The data for this study were collected from October 5, 2019, to October 31, 2019. The subject was 205 119 Emergency Medical Technicians working in 119 safety centers located in G Metropolitan City. The collected data were analyzed by independent t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, hierarchical multiple regression analysis, and Sobel test using the SPSS Statistics 21.0 program. As a result oh the study, The mediation effect of resilience was not statistically significant in the relationship between stress coping of seeking social support type and job stress; the mediation effect of resilience was not statistically significant in the relationship between stress coping of seeking positive thinking type and job stress. but, resilience was revealed that resilience completely mediates the relationship between problem-solving type and job stress, and partially mediates the relationship between avoidance type and job stress. The measures to reduce the job stress of 119 Emergency Medical Technicians derived from the above results are as follows. First, among the 119 Emergency Medical Technicians, problem-solving stress coping type 119 Emergency Medical Technicians need to reduce job stress through resilience improvement program. Second, avoidance stress coping type 119 Emergency Medical Technicians should take part in education programs that can reduce job stress in parallel with resilience improvement program.
The purpose of this study was to identify menopausal resilience in middle-aged women. The data were collected from 227 middle-aged women who participated in friendship and religious activities in the Jeonbuk province. The data were collected through self-report questionnaires, which were constructed to Self-efficacy, family support, social support, menopausal adaptation, resilience. Data were analyzed using frequencies, means, $X^2$_Test, pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 23. Regular exercise(${\beta}=-.15$, p<.01), self-efficacy(${\beta}=.29$, p=<.001), social support(${\beta}=.29$, p=<.001), menopausal Adaptation(${\beta}=.17$, p<.01) were influencing factors and these variables showed an explanatory power of 35.3% (F=18.65, p<.001). Therefore, it is suggested that middle-aged women in menopause can plan to overcome the menopausal crisis positively through nursing interventions that include self-efficacy and social support.
The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing intention to stay among new graduate nurses. The participants were 127 new graduate nurses working at A University hospital in Gyeonggi Province. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The results showed that job satisfaction, reality shock, working period, and resilience were significant predictors of intention to stay and explained for 44.2% of the variance in intention to stay. The findings of this study suggest that interventions focusing on reducing the reality shock through pre-experiences or trainings in clinical situations and enhancing the resilience are needed to improve intention to stay for the new graduate nurses. Also it is necessary to establish a support system and work environment to improve nursing job satisfaction, and a long-term education program of more than 6 months is needed to help new nurses adapt to work.
The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of somatic symptoms between depression and resilience of women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques. The data were collected by structured questionnaire from 97 infertile women who were receiving assisted reproductive techniques in clinic for fertility treatment. There was a significant correlation among depression, somatic symptoms and resilience. Somatic symptoms had a complete mediating effect(${\beta}=.73$, p< .001) on the relationship between depression and resilience(Z=6.32, p< .001). And impact of influence was 53%. Based on the findings of this study, it was found that the development and application of somatic symptoms management program for improving resilience should be needed for nursing women undergoing assisted reproductive techniques in the clinical setting.
Purpose: To develop end-of-life care training programs for nurses who provide in a tertiary hospital, we examined the mediating effects of empathy and resilience on the relationship between their stress and job performance. Methods: This study was conducted with 218 participants at a hospital in B city in South Korea from August 15 through August 30, 2017. Data collected from the participants were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression using the IBM SPSS/WIN 21.0 software. Results: Terminal care stress was found to be negatively correlated with empathy competence (r=-0.345, P<0.001), resilience (r=-0.223, P=0.001) and terminal care performance (r=-0.260, P<0.001), whereas empathy (r=0.467, P<0.001) and resilience (r=0.358, P<0.001) were positively correlated with terminal care performance. Empathy had a complete mediating effect (${\beta}=0.409$, P<0.001) on the relationship between terminal care stress and performance, and resilience a partial mediating effect (${\beta}=0.294$, P<0.001). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, development of training programs with a focus on empathy and resilience are highly recommended to improve job performance of nurses who provide terminal care in a tertiary hospital.

This study was a descriptive correlational study investigating the mediating effects of resilience in the relationship between depression and rehabilitation motivation in middle-aged stroke patients. There was a total of 185 middle-aged patients aged 40 to 64 years, who were diagnosed with stroke at a university hospital and rehabilitated at three local hospitals located in S city and four hospitals in U city. The data were collected using a self-reported questionnaire between the 1st and 31st of December in 2016. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and step-wise causal method using SPSS/WIN 22.0 statistical program. To test the statistical significance of the mediation effect, PROCESS and bootstrapping were used. The mean age of the subjects were $56.26{\pm}6.37$ years. There were 70.3% male subjects, an average depression level was $21.21{\pm}7.09$, an average resilience was $25.52{\pm}9.63$, and rehabilitation motivation was $47.44{\pm}5.87$. Depression was negatively related to resilience and rehabilitation motivation. However, resilience and rehabilitation motivation have a static correlation. These results confirmed that resilience appears to be a complete mediating effect in the relationship between depression and rehabilitation motivation. Therefore, it is important to develop a resilience enhancement program to improve the motivation of rehabilitation for stroke patients.
The research was to identify difference of values of the self-esteem, resilience and quality of life of hemodialysis patients. The survey was conducted to collect data between February 1 and 28 of 2020. SPSS/WIN 20 program was used to perform descriptive, correlation, and multiple regression analyses. In the correlation analysis, Cohabitation form(r=.262, p<.01), Economic status(r=.278, p<.01), Current health status recognition(r=.294, p<.01), Self-esteem(r=.547, p<.01), Resilience(r=637, p<.01) turned out to be influential factor for self-esteem, resilience, and quality of life according to general and disease of characteristics. Therefore, on the basis of this research, it is meaningful to provide basic data for the development of nursing interventions that allow one to embrace one's health condition and find the meaning of life in order to improve the quality of life of hemodialysis patients.
