As the offshore oil fields are moved to the deep ocean, the oil production system of FPSO(Floating Production Storage and Offloading System) Type are constructed frequently these days. So, it is very important to estimate the drift motion and damping effects due to the drift motion simultaneously. The components of slow drift motion damping consist of viscous, wave radiation effect and wave drift damping. It is needed to estimate the wave drift damping more accurately than others. The wave drift damping signifies the time-rate of mean wave drift force on oscillating ship or ocean structure which constant speed. In order to calculate this, the 3-Dimensional panel method is employed with the translating and pulsating Green function in the frequency domain. The calculation is carried out for a Series 60 ($C_B$/=0.7) and the results are compared with other numerical ones.
In this paper, a novel method is presented for efficient calculation of the spatial-domain Green's functions of 2D electromagnetic problems. This method combines spectral and spatial domain calculation schemes and prevents the Green's functions from diverging at the singularities that complicate the process of the Method of Moment(MoM) application. For the validation of this proposed method, fields will be evaluated along the spatial distance including zero distance for 2D free-space and periodic homogeneous geometry. The numerical results show the validity of the prosed method and correspondng physics.

A numerical method for scattering of electromagnetic waves from a arbitrary shaped grating covered with dielectric slab is considered for TE polarization case from the viewpoints of both reflection grating problem and leaky wave antenna problem. The analysis is based on a periodic Green's function and the method of moments. Numerical results involving some combinations of geometric parameters are presented in terms of relative scattered powers of spectral modes and complex propagation constants.

When a spatial method of moments(MoM) is used in conjunction with closed-form Greens functions for the analysis of a general microstrip structures of thin or thick substrate, an efficient technique fur the evaluation of MeM off-diagonal matrix elements as well as diagonal elements is proposed. In order to check the validity of the present method, performance is demonstrated for the example of a coaxially-fed microstrip antenna and the present results are compared with the previous results.

A genetic algorithm is introduced to design a waveguide filter which is one of essential elements of satellite system. The waveguide filter composed of waveguide steps is analyzed based on the Green's function and mode-matching technique. Genetic optimization for a waveguide filter is performed in terms of each parameter. Insertion loss behaviors versus frequency are computed and compared with measurement results.

What changes in the eigen values and eigen functions are produced if the boundary surface S is no longer rigid but has a specific acoustic admittance which may vary from point to point on S. In this paper, changes in eigen values and eigen functions are derived by using Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral equation. And acoustic potential energy, which is representative measure describing the physical quantity in cavity, is defined. Acoustic potential energy can be divided into primary one and secondary one. Primary one is the acoustic potential energy through unchanged eigen functions, and secondary one is through changed eigen functions. Using these two term, we can find the eigenvalue problem, which gives the control performance when the boundary condition is changed.

A three-dimensional time-domain calculation method is of crucial importance in prediction of the motions and wave loads of a ship advancing in a severe irregular sea. The exact solution of the free surface wave-ship interaction problem is very complicated because of the essentially nonlinear boundary conditions. In this paper, an approximate body nonlinear approach based on the three-dimensional time-domain forward-speed free-surface Green function has been presented. The Froude-Krylov force and the hydrostatic restoring force are calculated over the instantaneous wetted surface of the ship while the forces due to the radiation and scattering potentials over the mean wetted surface. The time-domain radiation and scattering potentials have been obtained from a time invariant kernel of integral equations for the potentials which are discretized according to the second-order boundary element method (Hong and Hong 2008). The diffraction impulse-response functions of the Wigley seakeeping model advancing in transient head waves at various Froude numbers have been presented. A simulation of coupled heave-pitch motion of a long rectangular barge advancing in regular head waves of large amplitude has been carried out. Comparisons between the linear and the approximate body nonlinear numerical results of motions and wave loads of the barge at a nonzero Froude number have been made.
Alumina slurriers, having various amount of alumina and ratio of organic additives, were prepared for tape casting. The relative viscosities were compared to investigate influence of composition on stability of the slurry and plotted as a function of powder fraction. They raised with increasing powder fraction of slurries, revealing a exponential function curve, which means that stability of slurry was not affected by amount and composition of organic additives. Cast green tapes were tested under tensile condition at room temperature. The increase in alumina ratio and binder ratio was found to decrease strain to failure of green tapes from 363% to 45% and from 68% to 25%, respectively. Tensile strength of green tapes increased abruptly with increasing alumina ratio, which showed its maximum at 1 MPa. On other hand, Tensile strength increased continuously from 0.5 MPa to 4 MPa with increasing binder ratio. Mechanical properties of them were affected seriously and lost their properties by elevating temperature from 20$^{\circ}C$ to 80$^{\circ}C$.

In this study, a numerically efficient method for the analysis of microstrip structures is considered in conjunction with the use of closed-form spatial Green's functions. As is well-known, the use of the closed-form Green's functions can reduce the evaluation time of impedance matrix elements. However the problematic aspect that in general the evaluation results of diagonal elements of the matrix converge slowly, has been observed. The main cause of the slow convergence has been due to the terms of closed-form Green's functions with small exponent. In other to resolve the problematic aspect, a method of numerical integration based on the change of variable is considered in evaluating matrix elements. The present method is applied for the analysis of a coaxial-fed microstrip antenna. When the present results are compared with the previous results in order to check the validity of the present method, fairly good agreements between them are observed.
