Effects of a Simulation-based Stroke Care Education on Nursing Performance Ability and Satisfaction in Nursing Students (뇌졸중 대상자간호 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호학생의 수행능력과 만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • The aim of the study was to verify the effects of simulation-based stroke care education on the nursing performance ability and satisfaction among nursing students. The study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A total of 64 nursing students in a nursing college participated in this study. The participants were assigned conveniently according to the academic year to either the experimental group in 2013 (n = 32) or control group in 2014 (n = 32). The experimental group received a simulation-based stroke care education, and the control group received a clinical placement with self-directed practicum. The data was analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that the scores of the overall nursing performance ability (z = -3.373, p < .001) and satisfaction (z = -3.245, p = .001) in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group. Overall, simulation-based stroke care education is an effective teaching strategy of improving the nursing performance ability and satisfaction among nursing students.

Effects of End-of-Life Care Education using Self-reflection Diary on Spirituality, Attitudes toward Death, and Attitudes toward Nursing Care of the Dying Patients in Nursing Students (성찰일지를 이용한 임종간호교육이 간호대학생의 영성, 죽음에 대한 태도, 임종간호태도에 미치는 효과)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 성찰일지를 이용한 임종간호교육이 간호대학생의 영성, 죽음에 대한 태도, 임종간호태도에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 비동등성 대조군 사전사후 설계를 시행하였고 대상자는 실험군 69명, 대조군 68명으로 구성되었다. 교육은 회기당 100분간 12회기로 매주 시행하였다. 자료는 일반적 특성, 영성, 죽음에 대한 태도, 임종간호태도로 구성된 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 수집하였다. 실험군과 대조군 간에 영성과 임종간호태도에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 성찰일지를 이용한 임종간호교육이 간호대학생들에서 영성과 임종간호태도 향상에 효과가 있음을 제안한다.

Hospice-Palliative Care Nurses' Knowledge of Delirium, Self-Efficacy and Nursing Performance on Delirium (호스피스완화 간호사의 섬망 관련 지식, 자기효능감 및 간호수행도의 관계)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the relationships among hospice-palliative care (HPC) nurses' knowledge of delirium, self-efficacy and nursing performance. Methods: This study was participated by 174 nurses working in the HPC unit. The nurses were asked to fill out a questionnaire that was structured to measure their knowledge of delirium, a self-efficacy in clinical performance scale (SECPS) and nursing performance. Results: The mean score for knowledge was 32.83 out of 45, with correction rate of 73%. The mean score for self-efficacy was 7.08 out of 10. The mean score of nursing performance was 2.95 out of 4. Significant correlation was observed among the variables of knowledge (r=0.28, P<0.001), self-efficacy (r=0.51, P<0.001) and nursing performance. Conclusion: Nurses with high level of knowledge of delirium showed high level of self-efficacy, and consequently better HPC nursing performance. It is necessary to develop a training program on delirium considering nurses' needs of knowledge of the condition. The effectiveness of the training program should be also examined in future.

보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 업무수행과 직무만족도에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 보건관리대행기관에 근무하는 산업간호사들의 보건관리업무실태 및 근무만족도와 이들간의 관계를 파악함으로써, 산업간호업무향상 및 효율적인 산업보건관리를 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 시도되었다. 조사대상은 38개 보건관리대행기관중 24개 기관에 근무하는 산업간호사 118명중 97명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구기간은 '92년 5월부터 6월까지 설문조사를 실시하였으며 그중 89명이 설문에 응답하여 이를 분석 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보건관리대행기관의 간호사는 산업간호사의 일반적 특성과 비교해볼 때 기존 산업간호사와 유사하였다. 그러나 법정휴가를 받는다는 간호사가 59.1%로 더 낮았다. 둘째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 담당사업장수는 법적으로 30개 사업장, 2,000명의 근로자를 담당하도록 되어있는데 조사결과 법적기준인 보건관리사업장의 수를 담당하는 간호사는 57.1%를 차지하였고, 담당 근로자 수로 볼때는 2,000명이하가 29.8%를 차지하여 많은 산업간호사가 법적인 기준을 초과하여 산업보건관리를 대행하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보건관리대행의 방문방법으로 교통편은 대행 기관차량을 이용하며, 간호사 혼자 산업장을 방문하는 것이 대부분으로 나타났고, 방문횟수는 100인미만이 월1회, 100인이상이 월2회로 규정된 것과 비교해보면 규정을 따르는 곳이 100인 미만의 경우 97.4%, 100인이상의 경우 86.4%였다. 또한 의사나 위생사는 방문을 안하거나 년1-5회 방문하는 것으로 나타나 보건관리대행의 주제공자는 간호사인 것으로 냐타났다. 또한 사업장 방문시 업무수행장소는 휴게실이나 사무실이 87.5%, 현장이나 수위실에서 하는 곳이 70.5%나 되어 뚜렷이 업무를 수행할 장소가 마련되지 않은 실정을 나타냈다. 네째, 보건관리대행에 근무하는 산업간호사의 애로사항은 사업장내에서는 조직과 체계상의 문제, 간호사 역할에 대한 인식부족, 권한과 자율성 부족 등을 들었고, 사업장 방문시에는 사업주와 근로자의 인식부족이 우선적으로 지적되었다. 또한 산업간호사는 보건관리 대행업무에서 사업장의 참여유도, 사업장 순회점검 및 개선지도, 보건교육, 건강상담이 우선적으로 실시되어야 한다고 하였다. 다섯째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 업무수행정도는 건강검진이나 직업병관리, 보건교육, 환경위생관리업무를 비교적 많이 실시하는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 직무만족도는 전문적 위치나 상호작용, 업무요구등은 높게 나타났으나 보수와 산업보건관계자와의 관계등은 만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 또한 직무만족도에 대한 총화점수는 사업장근무자가 240점중 143.8인데 비해 보건관리대행기관 근무자는 230점중 129.61점으로 더 낮게 나타났다. 일곱째, 일반적 특성별 보건관리대행 산업간호사의 직무수행정도는 연령별 30세이상군이, 결혼상태별로 기혼군이, 경력은 1년이상인 군이, 근무시간 8시간인군이, 급여수준은 50만원이상인군이, 법정휴가가 있는 군이, 자질향상교육을 받은군이 담당사업장수가 30개이하인 군이, 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 연령군이 20-24군과 30세이상인군 (p<0.05), 결혼상태별로 기혼군과 미혼군(p<0.01), 급여수준별로 50만원미만군과 이상인 군(p<0.05), 법정휴가가 있는 군과 없는군(p<0.05), 자질향상 교육을 받은군과 받지못한 군(p<0.01), 담당사업장수가 30이하인 군과 31인이상인 군(p<0.05) 간에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉 산업간호사중 나이가 많고, 기혼이며 급여수준이 높고 법정휴가와 교육을 받고, 담당사업장수가 30이하인 군이 보건관리대행업무를 잘 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 여덟째, 일반적 특성별 보건관리대행 산업간호사의 직무만족도는 연령별 30세이상군이, 결혼상태별로 기혼군이 경력은 1년이상인 군이, 근무시간 8시간인군이, 급여수준은 50만원이상군이, 법정휴가가있는군이, 자질향상교육을 받은군이, 담당사업장수가 30개이하인 군이 더 높게 나타났다. 또한 결혼상태별로 기혼군과 미혼군(p<0.01), 근무시간별로 8시간군과 9시간 이상인 군(p<0.01), 급여수준별 50만원 미만군과 이상군(p<0.05), 자질향상교육을 받은군과 받지 않은군(p<0.05) 사이에 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉 산업간호사중 기혼이고 근무시간은 8시간이며 급여수준이 높고 자질향상교육을 받은 군이 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 아홉째, 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사의 업무수행정도와 직무만족도 사이의 상관관계를 보면 보수, 자율성, 업무요구가 높을수록 산업간호업무를 수행을 잘하는 것으로 나타났으며(상관관계 r>0.6, P>0.001), 전체적으로 총직무만족도와 업무수행정도와의 상관관계는 6346, P<0.001로서 만족도가 높을수록 업무수행정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로하여 보면, 보건관리대행기관에 근무하는 산업간호사는 그 특성을 고려하여 업무도 사업장 근무자와 다르게 규정되어야 하며, 담당업무의 명확한 한계를 정해 중소규모사업장의 산업보건관리업무를 책임있게 수행할 수 있도록 뒷받침이 필요하다. 더불어, 직무만족도를 높일수 있도록, 산업간호사에 대한 다방면의 지원이 필요하다고 하겠다. 또한 보건관리대행기관 산업간호사는 나이가 많고 기혼이며 경력있는 간호사를 채용하고 근로조건을 잘 개선하면 직무수행정도가 더 높아질 것으로 보인다. 좋은 근로조건의 형성과 직무만족도 등을 높여 산업간호사의 직무를 효율적으로 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위하여는 보건관리대행기관에 관한 규정이 강화 보완되어야 하겠으며, 민간단체와 의료기관 뿐아니라 공공기관에서도 중소규모사업장의 보건관리업무를 담당하는 방향으로 전환하는 방안을 모색해 보아야 할 것이다.

Effects of Nursing Skills Practice using VR(Virtual Reality) on Competency and Confidence in Nursing Skills, Learning Self-efficacy, and Satisfaction of Nursing Students (VR(Virtual Reality)을 활용한 술기실습이 간호대학생의 간호술 수행자신감, 학습자기효능감, 수행능력, 실습만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • The study was conducted to identify the effectiveness of nursing skills practice using VR(Virtual Reality) on competency and confidence in nursing skills, learning self-efficacy, and satisfaction of nursing students. This study used a randomized controlled trial design. The 35 patients in the experimental group took nursing skills practice using VR and The 35 patients in the control group took fundamental nursing skills practice. The data were conducted on confidence in nursing skills, learning self-efficacy, satisfaction, and nursing skills' competency. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 23.0 program. As a result of the study, there were no significant differences between the experimental and control groups in competency and confidence in nursing skills, learning self-efficacy, and satisfaction. However, confidence in nursing skills and learning self-efficacy increased after practice in both groups. The results indicate that nursing skills practice using VR was effective in improving nursing skills.

The Effects of Core Fundamental Nursing Program on Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Competency, Clinical Competency and Problem Solving Process (핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램이 핵심기본간호술 수행능력, 임상수행능력 및 문제해결과정에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was pre-experimental research designed to compare the differences between pre-and post the effect of core fundamental education program of senior nursing student′s core fundamental nursing skills, clinical competency and problem solving process for one semester. Core fundamental education program which consists of three steps, 12 session. The subjects of this study were 192 graduates of one nursing college and surveyed from March 20 to June 23, 2017. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the paired t-test, t-test, ANOVA by SAS for Windows(ver. 9.8) and AMOS(ver. 20.0) As a result, pre-post recognition level of core fundamental education program was nursing skills competency pre $(3.42{\pm}.42)$ and post $3.88({\pm}.61)$, clinical competency was pre $3.74({\pm}.47)$ and post $3.98({\pm}.67)$. The core fundamental nursing skills(p=.017), clinical competency(p=.041) increased significantly after education program. Core fundamental nursing skills, clinical competency and problem solving process was significantly different according to male group(p=.003/p=.013/p=.005), high satisfaction group in nursing major(p=<.000/p=.009/p=<.000), confidence improvement group(p=.044/p=.047/p=.004) at the core skill contest. In conclusion, this study showed that the core fundamental nursing education program of senior nursing students had a positive effect on core fundamental nursing skills and clinical competency.

The Effects of Team-Based Learning on Outcome based Nursing Education (성과기반 간호교육에서 팀기반학습 적용의 효과)

  • This study was performed to develop and evaluate the effects of Team-Based Learning(TBL) on cardiac problem in adult nursing. The study measured problem-solving ability, critical thinking disposition, academic achievement and, class satisfaction for learning outcomes of course. Pretest-posttest design with nonequivalent control group was utilized to analyze the effects of TBL. Experimental group and control group each consisting of 52, 54 participants was picked from the junior students. The experimental group was given the TBL for 6 hours and control group was given a lecture and case-based announcement class. In results, significant improvements were found in problem-solving ability(F=5.92, p=.017), and class satisfaction(F=5.80, p=.018). Critical thinking disposition and academic achievement of experimental group were improved than those of control group, but there were not statistically significant difference.

The Effects of Team-Based Learning(TBL) for Edutainment Activation in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 에듀테인먼트 활성화를 위한 팀기반학습(TBL) 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of team-based learning(TBL) program on problem solving ability, self-directed learning and learning motivation of nursing students in a adult nursing course. Methods: This study was quasi-experimental study by using nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Participants were 132 nursing students consisting of each experiment group 66 and control group 66. The experiment group was provided TBL program for 2 hours per session during 6 sessions and control group was provided lecture. Data were collected by questionnaires from April 20 to June 19, 2018. Data was analyzed by a chi-square test, t-test and ANCOVA using IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The mean scores of problem solving ability(F=9.179, p=.003), self-directed learning(F=7.447, p=.007) and learning motivation(F=7.974, p=.006) were significantly higher in experiment group than those in control group. Conclusion: TBL program in a adult nursing course was effective in problem solving ability, self-directed learning and learning motivation of nursing students.

The Convergence Effect of Fundamental Nursing Practice Education Using Flipped Learning on Self Confidence in Performance, Academic Achievement and Critical Thinking (플립러닝을 활용한 기본간호학 실습 교육이 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감, 학업 성취도 및 비판적 사고성향에 미치는 융복합적 효과)

  • This study was conducted to identify the effects of fundamental nursing practice education using flipped learning on self confidence performance, academic achievement and critical thinking. The subjects of this study were 38 experimental groups and 36 control groups, who were in the second year of the department of nursing at D university, and Flip learning was applied to the experimental group for four weeks, while the existing teaching methods were applied to the control group. As a result, the academic achievement of vital signs in the experimental group after the experiment with flip learning was significantly higher than the control group (t=2.921, p=.005), but other variables were not significant. In addition, the critical thinking of the experimental group was significantly increased after the experiment than before (t=2.277 p=.029). However, it was not significant in the control group. In the future, various studies using flip learning in nursing are needed.

  • Purpose: This study is to identify the effect of a death education program to the nursing students on their anxiety of death and attitudes toward nursing care of the dying. Methods: The design of this study is nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of experimental group 20 and control group 16 in senior grade of department of Nursing G university in J city. The experimental group had Death education Program, which was a three days per week program, for 2 weeks. And post-test was carried out in the same way as the pre-test. Data analysis was done using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, t-test, paired Sample t-test using with SPSS win 10.0. Results: the experimental group was decreased in degree of anxiety of death and was improved in degree of positive attitudes toward nursing care of the dying. Conclusion: The death Education Program can be an effective nursing education program for their Nursing students to decrease their death anxiety and to prepare care of the dying.
