Evaluation of the Shear Wave Velocity Profile of Rockfill Zone of CFRD Using HWAW Method (국내 콘크리트 표면차수벽형 석괴댐(CFRD) 사력존의 전단파 속도 분포 결정(I): HWAW 방법을 사용한 CFRD 사력존 전단파 속도 주상도 결정)

  • Rockfill zone is a main part of the CFRD for safety and it is important to evaluate the status such as shear wave velocity profile of the rockfill zone. A surface wave method can be used to evaluate the rockfill zone but general surface wave method can have a difficulty to be applied for valuation of rockfill zone because of a stiff slope of dam and background noise in the field. In this research, HWAW method is applied to evaluate the shear wave velocity of rockfill zone. The field test of the proposed method is simple and fast and the HWAW method can determine the reliable shear wave velocity profile under severe noise field condition. To show feasibility of the proposed method, numerical simulation and field tests were performed. Through the numerical and field tests, the applicability of the proposed method was shown.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the changes of the digital music platforms and digital profit distribution issues which are considered to be the most important part of the application to the Global music industry based on the block chain system. This attempt is not to reveal the success of the block chain and the value judgment in the societies that will come in the future. How to apply the original function of the block chain in the field of the music industry, which has changed a lot in the digital era, this paper focused on what we need to work on. First, I will briefly review the structure and major functions of the block chain system and the crypto-currency, and examine the link between the blockchain and the music industry. In addition, I will focus on some overseas' cases that are actually applied, and examine the possibility of applying them in the domestic music industry. Through this, I expect that this article will become a cornerstone for discussing the development direction of the music industry, especially the Korean music industry, which is constantly changing due to the technological advancement process.

An Analysis of Korean Children's Libraries and Their Classification Scheme (국내 어린이도서관의 현황 및 분류표 적용 분석)

  • The paper analyzes local children's libraries' status of application of classification scheme and problems and difficulties in its application in order to be used as basic material for development of classification scheme for exclusive use of children's libraries. Through survey, the paper researched 96 local children's libraries, and the results showed that KDC-applied libraries numbered 53 and were the highest, libraries which developed their own classification scheme numbered 22, and libraries which applied classification scheme for children's library numbered 13. Further, many asserted that there needs to be a development of standard classification scheme to be used in children's library. On problems and difficulties in applying classification scheme, notes such as difficulty of accommodating various forms of children's books(such as comic books and picture books), placing too much emphasis on collection of books on certain topic, and lack of topic categories appropriate for characteristics of collected books were voiced, and by holding additional discussion on these, the paper raised the usefulness of the dissertation to be used as basic materials for developing classification scheme for exclusive use of children's library in the future.

Correlation Analysis between Soil Shear Strength Parameters and Cone Index Using Artificial Neural Networks - 1 (인공신경망을 적용한 지반 전단강도정수와 콘지수 사이의 상관관계 분석 1)

  • This study has been undertaken to develop a relationship between the shear strength coefficients and the cone index. The theoretic mathematical equations for the relationship were rigorously investigated, and then a Artificial Neural Network(ANN) analysis was adapted to enhance the reliability of the investigation. The theoretical investigation involved various assumptions resulting in the significant error involvement of geotechnical behaviors of ground. Therefore, a model using the ANN has been learned to enhance the prediction of the cone index form the shear strength parameters. Site investigation reports from various construction fields were used for ANN model learning. The results of the study show that the model predicts the cone index from the shear strength parameters of soils very well. The further study that is undertaking has a potential promise of the generalized prediction technique for the cone index from the soil parameters.

Earthquake Resistant Design Methods on the Slopes (지진을 고려한 비탈면 설계 방안)

  • A significant development has been made on earthquake resistant designs on many structures since the Korean government has begun modern earthquake hazard reduction programs after recognizing potential disastrous consequences of seismic events following the Kobe earthquake in 1995. However, some structures such as slope structures still haven't get ready for their own seismic design guidelines in Korea. Therefore, only a few organizations of Korea adopt seismic design for slopes relying on designers' judgments at present. This paper introduces domestic and foreign research activities on seismic slope stability and an idea of Korean earthquake resistant design method for slopes including alternatives of earthquake resistant design application according to designers' judgment considering construction budget, importance, restoration and so on. Afterwards, seismic data accumulation on slope stability of Korea is necessary to induce a more definite Korean earthquake resistant design method.

Development of Prediction Model of Frost Penetration Depth on Pavement in Korea (포장도로의 실측값을 활용한 한국형 동결깊이 예측모델 개발)

  • Korea is known to have seasonal frozen ground during a winter season due to climatic and ground conditions. Temperatures below $0^{\circ}C$ cause pavement failure by frost heaving and thaw settlement. A frost protection layer has been constructed in pavements to avoid damage caused by frost action. Anti-frost design methods in Korea have been adopted, which is established in U.S. and Japan. However the characteristics of soils in Korea are different and there are no reasonable modifications to accommodate these characteristics. Therefore, adequate pavement design procedures including seasonal frost action, as well as construction and maintenance practices are required. In this paper, the frost penetration depths along national roads in Korea are presented based on field measurement over several years (1991~2010). The frost penetration depths are analyzed with respect to the Provinces of Korea and sunny/shaded areas.

  • Recently, U-Construction is a topic word of construction industry. U-construction is construction with IT technology that is ubiquitous. That will help that domestic construction industry which is lower technology than developed countries overcomes the competition. RFID technology which can be transmission of massage and the receipt of a massage with non touch is core of U-construction. The RFID technology has a big range of application. Man ${\cdot}$ Quality ${\cdot}$ Process ${\cdot}$ Safety ${\cdot}$ Distribution management is already applied to construction industry and especially, The Man ${\cdot}$ Safety management are spreaded widely. This thesis analyzes that the State of Art of RFID Technology to Construction in Korea through the survey and RFID Technology becoming wider by construction scale and period. Process' Distribution management show the trend which becomes wider by construction scale and period.

An Experimental Study on the Application of NTCIP to Korean Traffic Signal Control System (교통신호제어시스템 NTCIP 통신규약 적용성 실험 연구)

  • This paper presents the results of an experimental study on the application of NTCIP protocol to Korean traffic signal control system. For this study the communication Protocol of the existing traffic signal control system was adjusted to meet NTCIP standard. Management information base for Korea real-time traffic signal control system, message library of OER, traffic control center management software supporting SNMP/SFMP Protocol, and agent softwares for local controllers were developed during the experimental study. The applicability test of the adjusted system by NTCIP standard was performed. Fifty eight Percent of communication packets were lost at 2.400bps communication speed, which made the operation impossible. The experimentations with communication speeds 4,800bps and 9,600bps did not cause problems. In conclusion, to apply the NTCIP standard to domestic real-time traffic control system, communication environments need to be upgraded to 4,800bps or higher.

  • Alternate alternating current (AAC) is used in nuclear power plants (NPPs) in order to cope with station black outs (SBOs). AAC has been provided using diesel engine drive types in Korea's NPPs. The structure of gas turbine generators (GTGs) is simpler than that of diesel generators (DGs), and GTGs have the advantage of longer maintenance intervals. However, GTG-AAC was not used in NPPs in Korea because of the lack of operation/maintenance experience. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the safety of APR+ considering a diversity of AAC types. This paper analyzes reliability data, mechanical specifications of DGs and GTGs, and the sensitivity of core damage frequency to the ACC type.

  • A significant change in the ISO 15489-1:2016 is the appraisal of records becoming one of the key procedures in managing current records. In November 2018, ISO/TR 21946 (Information and Documentation - Appraisal for managing records) was published as the international standard for the appraisal of records, explaining the methodology for the application of the concepts and principles of appraisal in ISO 15489-1. As such, the concept of appraisal and the characteristics of the contents presented in these international standards were examined in this paper. In particular, the appraisal methodologies of ISO/TR 21946 and how it can be applied to the Korean records management environment were investigated by analyzing the appraisal process proposed in ISO/TR 21946 at each step and applying the process to Korean university cases. Moreover, this paper is expected to be the basis of improving the understanding of new international standards for the appraisal of records and finding ways to improve records management and appraisal systems in Korea.
