A study on the dilemma and path of cultivating digital qualifications of Chinese university teachers in the digital media era (디지털 미디어 시대에 중국 대학교 교원들의 디지털 자질 육성의 딜레마와 경로 연구)

  • With the continuous development of information technology, digital education has become the mainstream of international education reform. In the digital media era, digital qualifications have become an essential ability for education and teaching, and teachers must have a certain degree of digital qualifications to better cope with the opportunities and challenges facing digital education. This paper mainly examined the current status of digital literacy among university teachers through a survey targeting teachers at Chinese universities. Specifically dilemmas and improvement measures were organized to derive new ideas and methods for improving the digital qualifications of university teachers, thereby providing useful reference material for realizing digital education.

  • 'The Training for School Organization Management' is a essential teacher training system in order to develop qualification and ability of teachers who have to be the flexible to the recent changeable society. The concept which the school management issue is only belong to the principle is changed now. The thought that 'the school as a team' is broadly accepted. As a result, every teachers including the parents, community people are thinking the solution about the management issues of the school. The changes in the framework of these thoughts is from the recognition that the school management is no longer the preservation only to the manager such as the principle. 'the school linked to the community', 'the school which information is open to all public', the school which is thinking about the curriculum' are highlighted as an alternative which can solve the current education issue. The new curriculum of 'The Training for School Organization Management' is necessary to be in accordance to the new school curriculum because we have to run a new school system in the complex educational circumstance.

  • It is very essential to recruit professional teachers for Gifted Education because the main goals of this school are focusing on the highly advanced technical science fields, enhancing self study and research environment which leads to develop self-directed learning and creative learning. The purpose of this study is to improve of the current Gifted Education Action Law For Teacher Recruitment in Gifted Education. The results of this study are follows; 1. Establishment of Standards for Teachers' Qualification in Gifted Education To recruit professional teachers, they are studied to use the current Gifted Education Action Law and to converse the legal position of Busan Science Academy 2. Developing Professionalism and Improving Conditions of Employment To gualify for Gifted Education, it is necessary to developing professionalism and improving conditions of employment. To provide long-term training and a sabbatical year for research. To make able teachers teach in a school longer than other teachers if teachers agree to it. To pay research funds for teachers for gifted education. To give advantage for gifted teachers in promotion. As the result of study, it has been systemized the standards of recruiting qualified teachers of the Science School for Gifted, has been proposed the ways of developing specialty of teachers and working conditions.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of the scientifically gifted high school students to the research and education (R&E) program. 270 scientifically gifted high school students participating in R&E program were sampled and surveyed according to the R&E' purpose, the process of topic selection, the advantage, and disadvantage of R&E. 4 students among them were interviewed in depth. Students perceived the purposes and advantages of R&E as fostering the scientist' qualifications, providing the research opportunities, and improving the inquiry ability and the disadvantages of R&E as the time consumption in research, the participation as a sideline, and the difficulty of contents. The R&E program was mainly composed of a pre-determined topic, fixed procedures, and expert's settlements in the problem-emerging situation and was not cognitive but technical apprenticeship. In addition, students considered the participation of R&E as a chance of experience about the high techniques and the valuable instruments instead of the improvement on the creative problem-solving ability. The role of mentors in the R&E program is so important that it affects largely on the productive participation and the perceptions of science and scientists.

Effects of Preservice Secondary Teacher Teaching Practice on their Teacher Competence as Future Teachers (예비 중등교사의 교육실습이 교사로서의 자질 인식에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how preservice secondary teacher teaching practice affected future teachers' features, which they should have as teachers. Based on the differences of pre- and post- test of the survey of their teacher competence, the participants of this study were grouped 40 student teachers as the teaching profession, and 58 liberal arts student teachers of learning teaching of 98 students. This study attempted to seek what preservice teachers expected and sought as future teachers throughout the teaching practice in secondary schools. We considered 5 areas of view of teaching profession knowledge and instruction skill, guidance, personality, and general attitude in the teaching profession as an effective teacher competence. The results showed that pre service teachers asserted that the teaching practice provided opportunities to improve their teacher competence as future teachers. However there was significant effective change in the group of student teachers as the teaching profession. This study also suggested that it is necessary to consider the liberal arts student teachers of learning teaching program reflecting the results of this study.

  • The field of Construction Engineering leads 1970's industry of the Korea. As a result of development of construction technology, It secure national competitiveness winning overseas contracts many kinds of plant, building and so on. In this situation, it is the most important task to cultivate and select construction teacher to train construction education and to foster construction skilled workers be going into the field of construction. This Study attempts to offer useful implications about the improvement of the Teacher Certification Examination through analyzing that will have a strong influence and be a standard in educational direction to cultivate construction teacher.

  • The quality of school education is a key element for national education development. An important factor that determines the quality of school education is qualities of teachers who are in responsible for school education in the field. Therefore, it is necessary to hire competent teachers in the teacher appointment exam for the secondary school. This necessity is evident especially for vocational high schools and Meister high schools with the introduction of 2015-revised curriculum based on NCS that separates each three subjects, "Electrical, Electronics Communication" resulting in the change of question mechanism, which requires new designing of assessment and content area. So, this study analyzes curriculum in college of education for "Electrical", "Electronics", "Communication", 2015-revised curriculum based on NCS and the development of standards for teacher qualifications and assessment area and evaluation of teaching ability in the subjects of the teacher appointment exam, "Electrical, Electronics Communication" Engineering" in 2009. The assessment area and content elements of "Electrical", "Electronics", "Communication are extracted from the analyzed results and they are verified by experts' consultation and presented as follows; First, the assessment area and content elements of the "Electrical" subject were designed to evaluate the NCS - based 2015 revised curriculum by presenting the NCS learning module to the evaluation area and content element in the basic subject "Electrical and Electronics Practice". Second, the section of "Electronics" presented the assessment area and content elements applying the Electronic Circuit, basic subject of the NCS and it also added "Electromagnetics", which is the basic part of Electronics in the Application of Electromagnetic waves that could be applied to the assessment. Third, the assessment area and content elements of "Communication" consist of the communication-related practice that is based on "Electrical" and "Electronic", considering the characteristics of "Communication Engineering". In particular, "Electrical and Electronics practice" which adds network construction practice and communication-related practice makes it to be able to evaluate the communication-related practical education.

The Characteristics of the Elementary Gifted Children and the Direction of Korean Gifted Education Perceived by the Preservice Elementary Teachers (봉사학습을 경험한 예비교사의 초등영재아동의 특성과 영재교육 방향에 대한 인식)

  • In order to succeed in gifted education, it is necessary to educate teachers with professional skills and qualities that meet the psychological characteristics of gifted students and satisfy their educational desires. The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of the science/mathematics gifted students the preservice teachers who participated in the service learning in the hothousing center annexed to the university, and the direction in which the Korean hothousing should proceed. For this, the service learning was conducted in the hothousing institution targeting three students attending A education college for 12 weeks. As a result of study, the gifted children showed the outstanding cognitive, affective, and creative natures which were expressed positively or negatively according to the situation. The study participants recognized the teachers had a duty to admit the distinctive nature of the individual gifted children and to provide the specially contrived education for them for the qualitative improvement of the Korean hothousing. Simultaneously they thought the gifted children should be regarded as ordinary children before the gifted persons and treated as the children. The necessity for preservice teachers to take the hothousing lectures requisitely and provide the learning chance focusing on the practical contents beyond the hothousing teacher training was brought forward in order to develop the systematic hothousing curriculum.
