Development of a college English teaching and learning model in online synchronous/asynchronous platforms to enhance Competencies (실시간-비실시간 온라인플랫폼을 통한 역량강화중심 대학영어 교수-학습 모형 개발)

  • The college English teaching-learning model in this study is intended to effectively apply dictogloss activities to enhance competencies such as communication, self-directedness, and cooperation by upgrading the utilization of various online platform functions. Dictogloss is a language teaching and learning activity that combines four functions (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) of communication. College English classes in this study focus on communication-oriented integrated English education. In this study, the teaching and learning is an online-based English integrated teaching-learning method based on constructivism theory. The model presented the roles of learners and teachers according to the seven procedures.

  • 본 연구에서는 실질적 학습자가 교수자로 착각을 한 상태에서 아바타를 학습시키는 과정을 통해 학습이 되게 하는 구조를 설계하고 제안하였다. 시스템 관리자와 교육자료 형성자를 제외하면, 교수자로 착각하고 있는 '학습자'와 학습자의 공부를 위해 노력하는 학습 가이드 역할을 '학습 관찰자', 학습이 되는 아바타로 구성된다. '학습 관찰자'는 학습 방향을 제시하여 아바타가 활동하는 방향을 지시하게 되며, 아바타는 지시된 방향에서 1:1 학습과 같은 형태로 교수자 입장 학습자에게 공부도움을 요청하게 된다. 아바타의 학습은 인공지능 지도 학습 방법을 이용하여 학습되도록 하며, 교수자로 착각하는 학습자는 아바타 학습 시 아바타에 의해 슬며시 제공되는 학습 자료를 참고하며 아바타를 공부시키게 되는 데 아바타를 공부시킨다고 노력하는 과정이 교수자로 착각된 학습자가 공부가 되는 것이다. 또한 이렇게 학습하는 과정을 거쳐 지식이 성장한 아바타는 아바타들이 경쟁하는 경진 대회에 참가하게 되며 교육자로 착각하는 학습자는 관전 또는 코치를 하며 학습을 하게 된다. 이러한 방법을 통해 교육자로 착각하는 학습자는 부모의 마음으로 적극적으로 공부를 하게 유도하며, 흥미를 갖고 공부를 하게 할 뿐 아니라, 가르치는 사람에 준하는 깊이 있는 지식을 갖도록 유도하며, 본 시스템과 온라인 오프라인을 통해 연결 되게 한 운동 기구 및 운동 환경을 이용하여 운동 하도록 유도하고 파워가 되도록 하여 운동 활동을 유도하며, 단계 마다 적당한 보상 점수들이 제공되도록 하여 지덕체가 성장되도록 하는 설계이다.

A Study on the Application of RFID to Teaching-Learning in u-Learning Environment (u-러닝 환경에서 RFID의 교수-학습 적용에 관한 연구)

  • With the advent of ubiquitous society, the paradigm of education is also changing. In u-learning in ubiquitous environment, mobile devices such as cellular phone, PDA, PMP, UMPC and TPC will become important learning tools. Particularly if RFID, a key technology in ubiquitous society, is utilized in teaching-learning along with mobile devices, we can expect much more meaningful learning. The present study proposed four types of application of RFID to teaching.learning, which were RFID-card, RFID-book, RFID-label and RFID-test, and examined their possibility and effectiveness. According to the results of this study, technology was insufficient to support the application of RFID-label to teaching-learning and continuous research was required for modeling the application of RFID to teaching-learning.

An analysis on the research trend of teaching and learning methods of informatics education in Korea (정보 교육의 교수·학습 방법에 대한 국내 연구 동향 분석)

  • The 2015 revised educational curricula focused on creative and convergent student education, so the importance of informatics education is arising along with emphases on its teaching and learning methods. This study has analyzed the research trend of teaching and learning methods and suggested their implications by selecting 179 studies of same keyword searching from 2000 to the present years and classifying them into 16 categories. This analysis showed that problem based learning was the most researched topic on these subjects, while unplugged learning, Creative Problem Solving model and peer teaching were among the actively studied topics. In the content domain of informatics curriculum, the problem solution and programming was most researched. This study is expected to suggest implications for not only studying informatics education research but also selecting teaching and learning methods in the field of class for teachers.

A Case Study of Using Creative Teaching Methods: 'National Threats' Learning Task (창의적 교수법 활용 사례: '국가 위협요인' 학습 과제)

  • Creative teaching methods can be beneficial in enhancing creativity and self-directed learning abilities in the classroom. However, there may be some specific learning tasks where applying creative teaching methods can be difficult. This is because students may not have completed the necessary prerequisite learning before performing the learning task, leading to low reliability of task results or meaninglessness. This study aims to propose teaching methods that enhance creativity and self-directed learning ability when performing learning tasks that may not have sufficient prior learning. To achieve this, we present a case of applying creative teaching methods to a learning task called "national threats". As a research procedure, we provide a suitable teaching method model and detailed procedures for the given learning task, and apply them in actual classes. The results showed that applying the presented teaching methods for the learning task produced meaningful academic achievements. This study can be valuable not only for enhancing creativity in education but also for interdisciplinary research in fields such as education and national security.

Developing the Total Quality Management System of Teaching and Learning Materials (교수·학습자료 질 관리 시스템의 개발)

  • If we followed to be based on the result of survey for researching on the actual condition about e-Learning of the MOE(2004), the critical problem has been suggested managing the quality of teaching and learning materials(37.68%(1775/4717)). If we also reviewed the research of the KICE(2002), the superior material's rate of 70,000 teaching and learning materials of the web site, the educational organization, and teachers was 8.7%. There was some suggestions about the quality problem of the teaching and learning material, but there wasn't the alternative policy: there wasn't the systemic program for managing the message quality of teaching and learning materials. The purpose of this study was to develop the alternative system for managing the message quality of teaching and learning materials. The alternative system of this study's result will be the basic to build the system for managing the message quality of teaching and learning materials. I expect that my system will be the useful tool for managing the message quality of teaching and learning materials.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate practical problem-based Home Economics lesson plans applying to the multiple intelligence teaching learning strategy, focused on the unit 'Nutrition & Meals' of middle school Home Economics subject matter. To achieve this purpose, the lesson plans were developed and evaluated from the 72 middle school students in Chongju after implementing the instruction. The data from the questionnaire were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 12.0 and content analysis. The results were as follows: First, the objectives of practical problem-based 'Nutrition & Meals' Instruction using multiple intelligence teaching strategy were to understand the importance of nutrition and health in an adolescent period and to develop good eating habits. The Practical Problem was 'What should I do for good eating habits?' and the learning contents were healthy life, the kinds and functions of nutriments, food pyramid and a food guide. The learning activities were progressed by various types of teaching and learning methods including 8 types of multiple intelligence teaching strategy. The lesson plans were developed according to the process of practical problem solving model. 6 periods of lesson plans and worksheets were developed. Second, the practical problem-based instruction using multiple intelligence teaching-learning strategy were evaluated to increase students' positive learning attitudes, motivation, and good eating habits.

  • 플립러닝의 핵심 성공요인은 변화된 교수자의 조력자 역할을 통해 학습자가 주도적으로 학습하고 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 유도하는 것이다. 이와 동시에, 공과대학 수업에서는 교수자의 지식전달자 역할과도 균형을 이루어 학습자의 학습내용 이해를 촉진해야 한다. 이에 대한 심층 분석을 위해 교수자 관점의 질적 분석이 진행되고 있는 가운데, 본 연구에서는 학습자의 인식에 기반하여 교수자의 역할을 탐색하였다. A전문대학에서 비대면 환경에서 운영된 공과대학의 플립러닝 기반 수업에서 교수자의 지원 및 역할을 조사한 후 키워드 네트워크 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, '질의응답'과 '설명' 키워드에 대한 분석을 통해 변화하는 조력자로서의 역할이 주효한 동시에 학습내용의 이해도를 향상시키는 전달자로서의 역할도 확인하였으며 이를 바탕으로 제언하였다.

  • Learning analytic has been utilized to helps us to successfully complete the course by using the interaction of the teacher and the learner data generated from the teaching and learning support system. In other words, Learning analytic is a method in order to understand the activities of learners. In the learning analytic, the data model is needed in order to utilize the more useful for teaching and learning activities data. Therefore, in this study, we propose a user centric data model of learning styles and learning objects. This model is expressed by aggregating of user learning style, learning objects, and learning activities. The proposed model is significant that laid the foundation for analyzing the activities of the learners in course units.

A conceptual model of Competency-based instruction-learning environment and its effects (능력기반 교수학습환경의 원리와 효과성)

  • 이 연구는 실무능력이 중시되는 맥락에서 유용한 능력기반 학습환경의 구축방안을 모색해보고, 그 효과성을 실증적으로 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 기존의 교수설계 패러다임의 발전동향을 토대로 능력기반 학습환경 구축원리를 도출하고, 이른 토대로 일반대학의 교직과목의 하나를 선정하여 구체적인 교수학습 환경을 개발하고, 기본적 실험설계의 틀에 그 효과성을 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 원래 해당 과목이 지향한 3개의 능력 중 2개 능력에서 실험집단이 비교집단보다 향상의 가능성을 보였다. 후속 연구에서는 이 학습환경 모형의 정련화와 아울러 효과검증 방법론을 보다 정련화하고, 표본수 증대를 통한 통계학적 검증이 요청된다.
