(Study on Efficient Teaching Methods Using Multi-Media) (멀티미디어를 이용한 효율적인 교수방법에 관한 연구)

  • This study suggests the most efficient teaching method by using multi-media. Based on the outcome of the engineering study, the multi-media and their contents will be applied to teaching methods, at first needing to provide concept and educational expecting effect of them. For multi-media using teaching methods, the study suggests the following 4; (1) teaching method for instructional learning, (2) teaching method for detective learning by guild, (3) teaching method for receptive loaming, (4) teaching method for exploration. Challenges still remained is to examine principles of teaching planning and relevant theories in order to apply the multi-media for the existing education, which should ask teachers in field to select more efficient teaching methods.

An Instructional Method of Computer Algorithm Concept using Elementary Mathematics Problems (초등 수학문제를 이용한 컴퓨터 알고리즘 개념에 대한 교수방법)

  • Algorithm is a fundamental concept for all related research areas in computer science. Though many researches have paid attention to computer algorithm in solving applied problems, few researches have been conducted on how to effectively instruct the computer algorithm concept. This paper proposed the instructional method for the computer algorithm concept by using mathematics problems of the fourth grade, elementary school. We have applied our the instructional methodology to classroom, and empirically tested the effectiveness of our methodology. The results show that the effectiveness of instructional method, compared to the traditional instructional methodology.

The Trend and The Issues of Domestic Studies in Relation to Science Teaching-Learning Methods (과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 국내 연구 동향 및 이슈)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the trend of domestic studies related to science teaching-learning methods. We reviewed articles published according to year, method, subjects and topic. The methods reported commonly in science education books were extracted. Experiment, cooperative learning, and discussion were methods which had been researched widely. Experimental study of them was utilized most. And next content analysis, survey, and case study were utilized much. The most object of experimental study was middle school students. These reviewed papers showed effects which were related to science achievement, attitude, inquiry ability and self-efficacy. As a result of this study we should research to apply and develop science teaching-learning methods variously. We ought to enlarge research direction to analyze context which applies science teaching-learning methods to educational field by qualitative study. We should try to study effects of teaching-learning methods longitudinally and latitudinally.

  • This study intends to understand the practice of elementary school mathematics education, focusing on the teaching and learning methods. To achieve these goals, we reviewed and analysed instructional methods pertaining to both (general) pedagogy and mathematics education. And we designed and implemented a questionnaire survey regarding the elementary school teachers' opinions. Moreover, we observed several mathematics lessons of elementary school to understand better the practice of teaching and learning. From these survey and observation, we learned several important aspects of investigation and development of instructional methods.

  • In this paper we analyze a concept 'didactical unit', and some concrete methods of expanding didactical unit studied by P.M.Erdniev. Erdniev studied the concept for a long time, wrote mathematics textbooks from 1st grade to 9th grade. In these textbooks he tried to embody his ideas related with expanded didactical unit. We analyze Erdniev's mathematics textbook of 3rd grade.

  • The purpose of this paper was to examine the teaching and learning activities using mobiles devices in a university. We analyzed the instructional methods, instructional strategies, devices types, and evaluation activities. In addition, we conducted deep interviews with the students who used the mobile devices in terms of their understanding on the mobile learning, mobile learning methods, evaluation methods, difficulties and their expectations. These findings will be used to improve the quality of the teaching and learning methods using mobile devices in higher education.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 아동의 수학 문제해결에 대한 심층적인 관찰을 통하여 기존에 가지고 있는 교수법에 대한 반성을 통하여 바람직한 교수 방법으로의 개선을 위함이다. 본 연구에서는 76명의 예비교사들이 자신들이 만든 수학 문제나 기존의 문제를 한 학생 또는 두 학생의 문제 푸는 방법을 처음부터 끝까지 자세한 관찰한 사실을 통하여 어떻게 기존의 교수법을 반성하는가를 살펴보고 교수법의 개선 방안을 고찰한다. 이 연구를 통하여 학생의 문제 풀이를 심층적으로 관찰하는 것이 기존의 교수법의 바람직한 개선에 어떻게 기여할 수 있는지를 고찰해 본다.

A Survey on the Perceived Importance of College Engineering Students for Instruction Objectives and Education Methods (공학교육의 교수목표 및 교수방법에 대한 공과대학 학생의 중요도 인식 조사)

  • This study was examining and analyzing the perception and significance for engineering teaching objectives and strategies designed for students. The optional sampled method with various levels was applied to all the junior students at college of engineering in Jeola North Province. The five applied universities were again divided into three divisions. The result of this study was as follows ; First, according to the analysis of students' conception about the significance degree of good education suitable for engineer and a number of a community, leaner's attitude and opinion learning were more important than any other instruction objectives. Second, according to the other analysis regarding to the significance degree of instruction objectives and methods, the teaching of technical operation was thought more important than any other instruction objectives. Overall, this study showed that the significance degree of instruction objectives and teaching strategies of engineering education had a little difference according to a various factor but they were arranged from three points (importance) and four points (very importance).

Contents Analysis on Hangul-learning Applications for Preschoolers - Comparative Analysis by Teaching Methods (유아대상 한글학습용 애플리케이션 평가 및 내용 분석 -언어 교수방법에 따른 비교 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the contents of Korean-learning applications by comparing two teaching methods(Phonics Instruction/Whole Language Approach). For this purpose, a total of 51 Korean-learning applications were analysed. The instruments used in this study were developed based on Applications for preschoolers Evaluation Criteria and Vocabulary Game Applications for preschoolers Evaluation Criteria. The collected data were analyzed by using a t-test. The main results are as follows. First, 'Developmental appropriateness' had the highest scores whereas 'Amusement' had the lowest scores in general. Second, there was a significant difference in 'Interaction' by teaching method. Implications for the development of more systematic Korean-learning applications for preschoolers are discussed.

The Preference of Instructional Methods and Kolb's Learning Styles of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 교수방법 선호도와 Kolb의 학습유형)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the Kolb's learning style and preference for instructional methods of undergraduate nursing students. Data were collected from 174 students at a university in D city using a structured questionnaire from October 19 to October 21 2015. Learning style ratio of nursing students was accommodator 34.5%, converger 33.9%, assimilator 16.1%, diverger 15.5% and preference scores for instructional methods were discussion 7.27, direct instruction 7.26, peer teaching 7.22, independent study 6.54, project 6.25, instruction through technology 5.77, game 5.45, simulation 4.23. A significant difference was found in experience of flipped learning between four learning styles groups of nursing students. However, there was no significant difference in the preference of instructional methods between the four learning styles groups. Most of the students were in the middle range of the learning styles. The assessment of nursing students' learning styles is expected to help educator to plan teaching strategies.
