Research Trends in Elementary Mathematics Education: Focused on the Papers Published in Domestic Journals During the Resent Seven Years (초등수학교육 연구동향: 최근 7년간 게재된 국내 학술지 논문을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of elementary mathematics education in terms of topics, methods, subjects, mathematics content strands, and mathematical competencies. For this purpose, a total of 596 papers published in eight domestic journals during the recent seven years were analyzed. The results of this study showed that the popular research topics included learners' perspectives and abilities, analysis of curriculum and textbooks, and instruction and teaching methods, whereas studies on assessment and technology or manipulative materials did not get much attention. The results also showed that qualitative research methodology was used a lot with focus on students. The mathematics content strand which was most frequently studied was number and operations, and problem solving was most popular among the mathematical competencies. On the basis of these results, this paper includes several implications for the future research direction in elementary mathematics education.

  • Because of the wide scale in EC area, the use of Electronic Commerce spreads out quickly. This paper proposes the curriculum applied to the department of EC in University reflecting the recent social trend. EC has some relations with the several areas like Computer Science & Engineering, Management and Industrial Engineering etc. after analyzing the domestic curriculums, we propose the propriate curriculums and academic classification standard. Also according to the standard, We want to propose the separate curriculums to three important majors and describe the introduction to each major.

Analysis of Research Trends in Mathematical Creativity Education (수학적 창의성 교육에 관한 연구 동향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of 114 papers about mathematical creativity published in domestic journals from 1997 to 2011 with regard to the years, objects, subjects, and methods of such research. The research of mathematical creativity education has been studied since 2000. The frequent objects in the research were non-human, middle and high school students, elementary students, gifted students, teachers (in-service and pre-service), and kindergarteners in order. The research on the teaching methods of mathematical creativity, the general study of mathematical creativity, or the measurement and the evaluation of mathematical creativity was active, whereas that of dealing with curricula and textbooks was rare. The qualitative research method was more frequently used than the quantitative research one. The mixed research method was hardly used. On the basis of these results, this paper shows how mathematical creativity was studied until now and gives some implications for the future research direction in mathematical creativity.

A Study on Information Need and Use of Public Health Doctors (공중보건의들의 정보 요구 및 이용에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공중보건의들이 환자 치료와 학술적인 연구를 하기 위해 요구하는 정보를 효율적으로 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 2000년 10월 23일부터 11월 11일까지 3주 동안 공중보건의 298명을 대상으로 조사하였으며 이용자들의 정보요구와 이용행위로 정보수집방법과 정보원, 그리고 도서관 이용정도와 만족도를 평가한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 공중보건의들은 환자치료와 최근의 연구동향을 알고자할 때 정보를 가장 많이 필요로 하는 것으로 나타났다. 가장 많이 이용하는 정보원은 단행본(교과서)과 학술지로 인쇄본을 더 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 2) 공중보건의들이 그들의 정보요구를 충족시키기 위해 선호하는 정보수입방법은 인터넷 검색과 동료들로 그 이유는 정보접근의 편이성과 정확성 최신성인 것으로 나타났다. 3) 이용자의 50.3%가 정보이용에 어려움을 느낀다고 하였는데 그 이유는 주로 지역적인 문제와 문헌전달의 지연에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 4) 공중보건의들은 정보가 필요할 때 주로 도서관을 이용하여 필요한 정보를 얻는 경향이 있으나 대체적으로 보아 도서관 이용빈도수는 매우 적은 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on Mathematics Question Item Trend in Elementary School Teacher Selection Test (초등교사 임용 시험에서 수학 교과 문항의 출제 동향 분석)

  • Elementary school teacher selection test has to be implemented for knowledge(MKT) to estimate and to be a step in the expansionary direction. For this, It has to be analyzed closely in terms of teacher's MKT first that questions set from selection tests until now. In this research, some standards were established by type of question, grade, contents field and subject from 84 mathematics questions set at examinations. And it was analyzed concretely by general tendency and produced the results of analysis related to elementary teacher's MKT in elementary school teacher selection test since year 2000. The results showed that descriptive and short answer type was mostly set(71.4%) in type of question and integrated grade type was mostly set(41.7%) in type of grade in elementary school teacher selection test. And in type of contents field, rated from highest to lowest, number and operations(31.0%), measurement(23.8%), figure(15.5%) were set. Textbook/manual(34.5%), solution of problem(26.2%), learning psychology(13.1%) in status of subject were followed in order, but there's no relationship with estimation. This research was based on a standard of precedent study and made an analysis of elementary mathematics questions of selection test since year 2000. Therefore, it has a meaning because of produced results from analysis related to elementary teacher's MKT.

Research Trends on Human Development and Family Studies in Journal of Korean Home Economic Education; A Review and Prospect of Research during the past 20 years (한국가정과교육학회지의 "인간발달.가족" 분야에 대한 20년 연구 동향분석; 성과와 과제)

  • The purpose of the study is to review the research trends of human development and family studies which published in the Journal of the Korean Home Economics Education for last 20 years. A total of 93 studies were analyzed in the area of nature and philosophy of Home Economic Education, curriculum, teaching-learning method and human development and family studies. Research topics mainly examined in the area of curriculum development, application of teaching methods, psychological and school adjustment of the adolescent and family relations. Reviews in methodological issues result in the heavy usage of survey method with self-administered questionnaires, convenient sampling and descriptive studies. Although research on human development and family studies in Home Economic Education has increased in quantity, there are greater needs to develop studios with representative subjects, various research methods, teaching - learning methods, and teaching materials to capture the rich complexity of individual development and family life. Limitations on previous studios and implications for future studies were also discussed.

  • 본 논문에서는 21세기에 인재양성에 필요한 학습능력의 동향을 알아보고 전통적 교육에서 스마트 교육으로 변화함에 따라 스마트 러닝 교수설계 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 21세기 사회는 지식기반사회, 지식정보사회 등 '지식'이 핵심 키워드라 할 수 있다. 기존의 전통적 지식과 21세기에 필요한 학습능력을 통합하여 디지털 교과서, 온라인 수업, 클라우드 교육 서비스, 스마트 교육환경의 콘텐츠와 교수학습 모형을 융합하는 새로운 교수설계 모형이 필요하며 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

Domestic Research Trends and Tasks on Early Algebra Education : Focused on the Elementary School Mathematics (국내 초기 대수 교육 연구의 동향과 과제 : 초등 수학을 중심으로)

  • This research analyzed domestic researches on early algebra education which are published in six major mathematics education journals in Korea. The purpose of this work is to grasp trends of early algebra education in Korea and to draw up future tasks. From 2000 to 2017, 89 papers which are related to early algebra education published in 6 journals. The 89 papers were categorized by research period, academic journals, research topics, and research subjects. As a result, the number of researches on early algebra education in Korea has increased since 2000. Although early algebra education belongs to the field of elementary mathematics education, lots of papers were published in other math education journals than in the math education journals for elementary school mathematics. Most research focused on proportional reasoning across the algebraic content area. The majority of the research subjects were students, especially upper-grade students of elementary school. Based on the results of this study, some implications for early algebra education in Korea were suggested.

Analysis of Research Trends and Learners' Preference for Subject Area of SW Education Content (SW 교육 콘텐츠의 주제 영역에 대한 연구 동향과 학습자 선호 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends and the learners' preference for subject area of SW education content. First, we analyzed trends in the subject areas of various SW education contents in recent research literature, textbooks, and textbooks. Based on this, we defined six subject areas as storytelling, game, media art, educational learning contents, simulation. Also, we analyzed the case of college students based on the reason of SW implementation theme selection, selection method, and preference theme. As a result, the students were mainly influenced by their interests and teachers in the reason of topic selection, and they showed higher preference in game and storytelling subject area. We hope that this research will be reflected in balanced SW education contents design according to learner level in the future.

  • 본 논문은 로봇 교육에 대한 연구의 동향 파악을 목적으로 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)를 활용하여 2000년부터 2011년까지 발간된 로봇 교육관련 국내학술지논문 119개를 분석하였다. 구체적인 조사 영역은 활용된 로봇의 종류, 연도별 논문 발행 수, 주제, 연구 대상, 적용교과, 연구방법으로 나누고 가장 많이 다루어지고 있는 연구 부분을 파악하였다. 주로 각 논문의 초록을 면밀히 분석하였으며 모호하다고 생각이 들 경우에는 논문 내용을 확인하였다. 연구 결과 로봇 교육 관련 연구는 해가 갈수록 증가하는 추세에 있으며 연구 방법으로는 양적 연구가 주를 이루지만 2007년 이후 질적 연구와 통합 연구 또한 증가하고 있었고, 로봇은 21가지 중에 주로 사용되는 것이 NXT와 피코 크리켓, iRobiQ였다. 연구 주제는 고차원적인 사고와 정서적인 측면을 측정하는 로봇 활용 교육이 다수를 차지하였고, 대상은 주로 초등학생에 집중되어 있었다. 연구에 적용된 교과를 살펴보면 주로 정보교과와 재량활동이나 방과후 활동, 통합교육 순이었다.
