좌표계의 회전과 코리올리 효과

  • 제어 및 로봇 응용에서 이동체의 위치, 속도, 그리고 자세 정보를 획득하는 기능은 매우 중요한 여할을 수행한다. 위치, 속도, 그리고 자세 정보는 통틀어 항법정리라 통칭되며 전파센서, 영상센서, 혹은 관성센서 등 다양한 센서들의 조합에 의하여 획득될 수 있다. 항법정보의 획득에 있어서 특히 관성센서는 다양한 센서들의 조합에 있어서 가장 중요한 역할을 수행하는데 이는 관성센서가 다른 센서들과는 달리 주변의 조명 환경, 전파환경, 그리고 고의적인 외란에 강인한 특성을 지니며, 이동체의 빠른 운동을 세밀하게 수치화하여 표현할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 고에서는 이와 같은 장점을 지닌 관성센서의 출력을 정확하게 다루기 위해 명확한 이해가 요구되는 코리올리 효과에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. 코리홀리 효과는 이동체의 운동을 회전하는 좌표계에서 관측할 경우 발생하는 특이한 현상에 해당되며 관성센서를 다루기 위한 준비 과정에서 많은 입문자들이 어려움을 가지는 부분으로 이해된다.

Capital Structure Inertia and Product Market Competition (자본구조의 관성과 상품시장 경쟁간의 관계)

  • This paper empirically examines how capital structure inertia varies across industries and there is different in industries, and whether this fact is explained by product market competition using non-financial firms listed in KOSP market over periods of 1981 to 2015. In empirical test, I find that firms with more competition environment tend to have inertia behavior in making decision of capital structure. This implies that it is explained by debt discipline effect and it is substitution for product market competitions. Also I find that manager tends to take action actively making decision of capital structure when product market competition is low. Also I show that they use debt to constraint the free cash flow. As a result, I conclude that Korean non-financial firms do not have more strong inertia behavior in capital structure rather than U.S. firms. Second, using OLS estimation, inertia effect disappears while there is strong inertia effect in relationship between inertia and product market competition. This result suggests that transaction cost is not key factor in explaining inertia behavior of capital structure.

크랭크축-실린더블록 계의 진동해석

  • 연소 동안에 크랭크 축은 오일 필름을 통하여 연소압력이 실린더 블록으로 전달된다. 점화 전에 관성력에 의한 크랭크 축의 굽힘 변형은 크랭크 축으로부터 메인 베어링까지의 연소하중 전달에 큰 영향을 미친다. 메인 베어링에 베어링 보를 부착시키거나 크랭크 축의 굽힘 강성을 변화시켜 실린더 블록의 스커어트 진동을 감소시키는 효과를 얻었다. 크랭크 축의 비틂 진 동을 일으키는 회전력과 관성력 변동의 합력은 크랭크 저어널의 횡진동을 일으킨다. 크랭크 축의 횡 강제진동은 베어링 1에서 최대값이기 때문에 실린더 블록의 굽힘, 비듦 진동에 대하여 기진력이 된다. 실린더 블록의 진동 진폭은 관성력 변동의 주파수가 실린더 블록의 공진진 동수에 가까워지는 정도와 크랭크 축 비듦 진동의 진폭에 의존한다. 크랭크 풀리의 극관성 모우멘트와 크랭크 축 비듦 진동을 감소시키는데 효과를 준다.

  • Slug test is a common characterization method that estimates aquifer hydraulic conductivity rapidly and economically. To characterize the hydraulic property near the borehole YS-4 in the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) site, slug tests were performed, and oscillatory hydraulic responses were observed. We analyzed the observations with the modified Hvorslev and Bouwer&Rice methods considering the casing inertia, and then the results were compared with those from the general Hvorslev and Bouwer&Rice methods. The estimated hydraulic conductivities from the modified methods are ranged from $4.85{\times}10^{-6}$ to $5.44{\times}10^{-6}$ m/sec, but those from the general ones are ranged from $3.10{\times}10^{-6}$ to $3.63{\times}10^{-5}$ m/s, which shows that the oscillatory responses should be analyzed with consideration of the flowing water inertia effect.

  • 이동체의 궤적을 저장하는 대용량 이동체 DB는 대규모의 이동 객체 궤적의 효과적인 검색을 위하여 디클러스터링 기법을 통한 객체 궤적의 분산 배치가 필수적으로 요구된다. 그러나 기존 공간 객체의 디클러스터링 기법은 이동체의 특성과 시간 영역에 대한 고려 없이 디클러스터링을 수행한다. 또한, 단순히 현재 시점에서 색인 노드의 공간 관련성안을 판단의 근거로 삼고 있어서 효과적인 디클러스터링이 되지 않는 단점이 있다. 이러한 이유로 이동체 데이터베이스에서 빠른 질의 수행을 위한 디클러스터링 기법이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 이동체 궤적에 대한 질의 시 빠른 응답 시간을 얻고 전제 시스템의 처리율 향상을 위한 디클러스터링 방법을 제시한다. 제시되는 방법은 이동체의 진행 방향에 대하여 이동 시간에 의한 이동 궤적의 관성을 정의하고, 이를 색인의 노드 단위로 확장한 노드의 관성을 정의한다. 정의된 관성을 이용하여 이동체 궤적의 노드가 저장될 디스크를 정의함으로써 궤적 데이터의 디클러스터링을 효과적으로 수행할 수 있다.

  • Two-dimensional explicit finite element code was developed. The transient dynamics code can analyse large deformations of non-linear materials subjected to extremely high strain rates. The Lagrangian finite element program uses an explicit time integration operator to integrate the equations of motion, thus the stiffness matrix is not introduced. Cylinder upsetting and ring compression problems are simulated to check the effects of friction and inertia force. It is shown that (1) calculated results agree very well with experimental results, (2) constant shear friction method overestimates the decrease of inner ring radius and then underestimates after on in comparison with the Coulomb friction method, and (3) the effect of the increase in initial strain rate is similar to the effect of higher frictional coefficient.

  • A wind turbine simulator is developed for the emulation of variable input torque from the wind energy without actual rotor blades using motor-generator set. The torque command of dc motor is calculated from the characteristic equation of rotor blade during the change of wind speed. Especially the proposed control algorithm takes into account the fact that the moment of inertia of blade is much larger than that of driving motor. If you select the desired value of inertia, the stored/restored energy of the inertia during acceleration/deceleration can be compensated effectively resulting the only net torque is delivered to the generator. The simulator set-up has been designed and implemented using a do motor and drive. Feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified by computer simulations and experiments.

  • Magnetic disturbance is one of the main factors that deteriorate the accuracy of orientation estimation methods based on inertial/magnetic sensor signals. This paper proposes a parallel Kalman filter(KF) that explicitly detects magnetic disturbances and thus can accurately estimate 3D orientation in magnetically disturbed environments. Due to the parallel nature of the proposed KF, even severe magnetic disturbances only affect yaw estimation, while roll and pitch values remain accurate. Consequently, the proposed KF can be effectively used in various applications that involve magnetically inhomogeneous environments, such as robots, ships, and planes.

  • This study investigates the use of movable calibration target for gyroscopic and accelerometer bias compensation of inertial measurement units for firing lane alignment. Calibration source is detected with the help of vision sensor and its information in fused with other sensors on launcher for error correction. An algorithm is proposed and tested in simulation. It has been shown that it is possible to compensate sensor biases in firing launcher in few seconds by accurately estimating the location of calibration target in inertial frame of reference.

Inaction Inertia Effect - Moderation Effect of Habitual Purchase Behavior and Maximization Behavior - (무행동관성효과 - 습관적 구매성향과 극대화성향의 조절효과를 중심으로 -)

  • Inaction inertia effect refers to the phenomenon wherein people who missed attractive opportunities in the past do not take any action when they are given the opportunity to receive discounts (sale). The main objective of this study was to find out how such inaction inertia effect influenced the expected regret from the action, expected regret from inaction, and purchase intention depending on the two types of consumption purposes-for pleasure and for practical use. As the personal disposition of each consumer differs from one another, it was expected that habitual purchase behavior and maximization behavior would influence the inaction inertia. An experiment was thus conducted by using a scenario to satisfy the objective of this study. Results showed that in the case of consumers whose consumption purpose was for pleasure, those who habitually purchased the same brand showed a higher level of expected regret from the action and expected regret from inaction. In the case of maximization behavior, no differences were found in the expected regret from the action between practical consumption purpose and pleasurable consumption purpose. On the other hand, differences were found in the level of expected regret from inaction, which is the case wherein consumers who missed their first opportunity to receive discounts (sale) did not make any purchase on their second opportunity for discounts (sale). Thus, inaction inertia was shown in accordance with habitual purchase behavior in the case of consumption purpose for pleasure, but it was not clearly shown in the case of consumption for practical use. This is because there is a relatively low level of justification on consumption, in the case of consumption for practical use. On the other hand, it was found that consumers with maximization behavior felt a stronger sense of regret in the case of their expected regret for inaction in consumption for practical use than in consumption for pleasure. Also, with regard to purchase intention, it turned out that only consumers with pleasurable consumption purpose had purchase intentions. Through these study results, it would be necessary to consider the consumption purpose behind the purchase of products or services, with regard to inaction inertia, depending on personal dispositions. In accordance with these study results, several theoretical and practical implications were discussed.
