  • This study is a development plan of a resort in a regional center that aims to generate tourism consumptions that have ripple effects on the regional economy by developing abandoned mine complexes in Daechon. Thanks to economic growth, the public awareness of tourism has changed. Hence, want for tourism influences development and advancement of recreational spaces, combining with various cultural contents. Development associated with environmental issues caused by modernization has become a major issue. At this point, to rediscover and specialize industrial complexes of bygone days as tourism resources signifies regeneration of regional resources. This study aims to find a solution for appropriate tourism development as part of the measures to revitalize the regional economy in underdeveloped areas and to improve the polluted environment. The result of the study is summarized as follows: First, in regional development alongside the development of a resort complex, it is important to construct environmental similarities. Minimizing differences in landscape structures is especially necessary because it will cause tourism resources in a regional center to be naturally linked to regional activities. These will then be recognized as attractions in the neighborhood. Therefore, it is desirable to reflect a spatial structure for environmental convergence, and, at the same time, to fulfill operation purposes by space through differentiation of movement lines. Second, in utilization of existing environmental resources, it is desirable to express localities and to develop differentiated elements. Facilities should not be homogenized, attaching importance to trends. Therefore, in establishing a development plan, it is important to have an attitude to accept existing roles and functions in a transformative manner. Third, recreational facilities in resort spaces generally have the problems of being uniformly planned as part of a development project and being limited to landscape facilities. Introduction of specialized facilities that can be reconciled with the regional environment and that can be open influences the landscape structure of the entire region and brings ripple effects as key facilities for activation of tourism.

  • This study clarified the fact that the existing 'manpower supply and demand plans', preceding studies, theoretical researches of the past cannot satisfy the multi-goals of organizations, instead, the existing plans focused on only the number of customers and total amount of service. Next, a necessity of more proper manpower plans that consider comprehensive goals of the organizations is suggested then, this study tried to make the countermeasures. As for studying methods, a priority sequence in the organizations' manpower management's goals is set by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process), a business administrative scientific skill. Proper manpower policies of the food service enterprises, which satisfy the organizations' multi-goals, are established by GP(Goal Programming). Based on it, mid and short term 'manpower supply and demand plans' are established. For the purpose of increasing the study's efficiency, example studies are conducted in one family restaurant. The limit of this study is that inner personnel management details such as promotion, new personnel appointments, unemployment, retirement were not considerately considered. Therefore, the future studies should think over those limits and research the labor-force supply from the outside also.

  • 본 연구에서는 ARIMA(Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) 모델을 이용하여 농촌관광마을의 월별 관광객을 추정하였다.

  • Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of tourists in islands that are well-known for their natural landscapes. It is expected that this number will go up steadily, due to the increase in per capita income and leisure time. Regarding tourism transportation, utilizing linkage transport between coastal passenger terminal and inland transport system is crucial. However, the existing system does not measure up to the expectations. This is attributable to the fact that the distances between coastal passenger terminals and inland transportation terminals are too far. Also, the current public transportation system lacks support and needs to take the role of connecting the two terminals. This study shows how coast-inland linkage transport system should be reformed in order to promote island tourism. It focuses on building linkage transport system and minimizing walking distance. Also, adjusting passenger ship schedule to the characteristics of island tourism is needed. For the sake of passengers, coastal passenger ship fare should be reduced, and integrated transport information should be provided.

Secondly, it aimed to evaluate the possibility of the Jeju experimental forests managed by Warm Temperate Forest Center as an alternative tourism destination. The results shown that alternative tourists had more positive travel attitude and higher level of cognition of ecotourism and intention of participate in ecotourism than mass tourist. The cognition level and the intention of visit the experimental forests were also higher in alternative tourists group. In addition, alternative tourists were more active and participatory in nature-oriented activities, and evaluated themselves culture and nature oriented tourists. • How can new media devices and networks provide an effective response to the world's growing sector of cultural and historically-minded travelers? This study emerged from the question of how mobile handsets can change the nature of cultural and historical tourism in ubiquitous city environments. As wireless network and mobile IT have rapidly developed, it becomes possible to deliver cultural and historical information on the site through mobile handset as a tour guidance system. The paper describes the development of a new type of mobile tourism platform for site-specific cultural and historical information. The central objective of the project was to organize this cultural and historical walking tour around the mobile handset and its unique advantages (i.e. portability, multi-media capacity, access to wireless internet, and location-awareness potential) and then integrate the tour with a historical story and role-playing game that would deepen the mobile user's interest in the sites being visited, and enhance his or her overall experience of the area. The project was based on twelve locations that were culturally and historically significant to Korean War era in Busan. After the mobile tour game prototype was developed for this route, it was evaluated at the 10th PIFF (Pusan International Film Festival). After use test, some new strategies for developing mobile "edutainment content" to deliver cultural historical contents of the location were discussed. Combining 'edutainment' with a cultural and historical mobile walking tour brings a new dimension to existing approaches of the tourism and mobile content industry.
