Ecotourism has surged from conflicts between negative impacts of mass tourism and environmental issues. As an alternative tourism, ecotourism compromises extensively environmental, economic, educational, and cultural concerns. Ecotourism can be defined as environment-based tourism that ensures sustainable growth and development through conservation of natural and human environment, promotion of regional economy, and provision of tourism service in natural environment areas. Ecotourism should consider two key challenges; an effective means that may protect local economy through tourist-based income and improvement of residential circumstances, and role as leisure space that can improve tourist's experiences. The purpose of this study was to summarize ecotourism concepts through literature search and develop an ecotourism planning framework for Korean rural communities. In addition, developed planning framework in this study was applied to Jeongdori area, Wandogun, Korea as a case study in order to analyze its feasibility. A trial application in Jeongdori area demonstrated a possibility that ecotourism planning framework can be successfully adopted to a wide range of Korean rural communities. To ensure objectivity of framework, systematic case studies must be done in the future.

This study alms to perform Business Process Reengineering and to develop tourism statistics information system through the development of tourism statistics process design supporting tool. With this tool, we can manage tourism statistics systematic and integrated. Also it offers a tourism decision making supporting tool. Tourism statistics process design supporting tool consists of information provider, information maker, and information user. This tool can improve bossiness process, and rationalize system architecture. 49 business processes were designed and a database which connected with outside system was designed by this supporting tool. By these means, this tool provide more reasonable and effective decision making tool, when it comes to plan tourism development.

This study develops an agent-based simulation model to evaluate tourist information systems under ubiquitous environment. In this study, individual tourist's activity chaining behavior is formulated as a utility maximization problem. The underlying assumption of the model is that tourists increase their activities within their time and budget constraints to maximize their utilities. The model seeks individual's optimal tour schedule by solving Prize-Collecting Multiple-Day Traveling Salesman Problem(PC MD TSP). The simulation-based evaluation framework allows investigating individual utility gains by their information type and the total expenditure at each tour attractions. The real-time tour activity scheduling system enables tourists to optimize their tour activities by minimizing their time loss and maximizing their opportunity to use high utility facilities.

Tourists' needs are changing rapidly and new niche markets, such as nature tourism, eco-tourism, and marine tourism, are flourishing in response to consumer demand. Especially, the estimating demand & supply of manpower in marine tourism is a very important issue for basic tourism HRD policy. This research is focused on the estimation of growing demands of manpower and suggests the method to estimate the proper number of manpower in marine tourism industry.

With the advent of the era of mass tourism in China and people's yearning for a better life, the demand for family tourism is increasing. This paper adds the filial piety concept variable to the original model based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB). It tests the influence mechanism of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control and filial piety on the intention of family tourism behavior. The results show that； Attitude and subjective norms have significant influence on the intention of family tourism behavior; Perceptual behavior control has no significant influence on the intention of family tourism behavior; Mutual filial piety has a significant impact on family tourism behavior and authoritative filial piety has no significant effect on family tourism decision-making behavior. This conclusion expands the application boundary of the theory of planned behavior in the study of family tourism behavior intentions, and provides application reference for tourists and tourism enterprises.

Since the first 12 ones were designated in 1969, 228 places have been designated as tourism sites, and about 70 percent of them were designated before the 2000s. It shows that changes in most of tourism sites are needed in terms of physical, functional and environmental aspects. However, there are still not enough academic progress and policy consideration regarding the decline of tourism sites and the regeneration of them. This study aims to find the causes of decline and the factors to activate in tourism sites, to draw important conditions to recover the attractiveness of tourism sites in decline from the comprehensive analysis of causes and factors, and to apply the conditions to a real case in severely declining stage. According to the findings, the conditions for recovery could be restructured into four categories: 'The upgrade of hardware such as facilities in tourism site', 'the development of software such as contents and programs', 'the reinforcement of local capacity and institutional grounds' and 'the expansion of functions and the building of networks with various external stakeholders such as expert groups, related enterprises, talented individuals and so forth.

남해안의 해양관광벨트 조성사업은 양 지역의 세계화와 지방화의 기틀을 동시에 마련할 수 있다는 측면에서 그 의미를 찾을 수 있다. 남해안의 관광유람선사업은 연안 해양지향적 국토개발정책 비중이 증대되는 과정에서 중앙정부도 남해안국제관광벨트 조성사업계획을 금년말까지 수립할 계획이며, 민선자치시대를 맞아 지역의 자립의식 및 지역간 경쟁분위기가 고조되면서 지역의 비교우위성 자원을 활용한 지역발전전략을 추진하는 분위기가 성숙되는 등, 국가 지역적인 여건과 합치하고 있으며, 그 위에 남해안의 관광유람선사업은 동서협력 차원에서도 유익한 사업으로 기대된다. 실질적인 동서화합은 상호 인 물적 교류를 통해 과실을 함께 얻을 수 있는 기반이 마련될 때 이루어진다는 측면에서 관광유람선사업은 동서협력의 대표사업이다. 관광유람선이 운항되면 양지역주민들의 상호 방문이나 자치단체간 상호 친선방문 등이 이루어짐으로써 인적 교류가 활성화되는 계기가 될 것이며, 관광유람선이 운항되면 남해안에 풍부하게 부존되어 있는 수산자원과 특산물 등 물적자원의 교류가 이루어짐으로써 남해안지역의 수산물과 특산물 관련산업 진흥에 기여할 것이며, 관광유람선 운항을 위해서는 사전 준비단계에서부터 운항에 이르기까지의 과정에서 부산, 경남, 전남 등 자치단체의 협력이 전제되어야 하는데, 이러한 협력체제가 동서협력으로 성숙될 가능성이 높고, 또한 관광유람선의 운항범역이 단계적으로 중국, 일본에까지 확대되면 남해안지역의 세계화에도 기여할 것이다.

To figure out the seasonal characteristics of the tourists to Gosu Cave, the average monthly number of tourists has been analyzed. According to the analysis, the number of tourists was especiallyhigh in spring and summer. Therefore, it‘s required to develop a year-round tourism program.

The purpose of this study is to identify the priorities with respect to the characteristics of tourism resources development plan between the South and the North Korea. Through a preliminary investigation 287 lists of questions were distributed from May 14, 2012 to December 5, 2012 and from among them 252 lists were used. Expert Choice 11.5 was used to do pairwise comparisons and priorities assessment. Based upon the results of empirical analysis, the priority order sets of the domain of tourism resources development plan should be related to the development contents, the development objects, the development patterns, and the development subjects in the South Korea. Those should be related to the development subjects, the development objects, the development contents, and the development patterns in the North Korea.
