Since Covid-19, many educational institutions no longer view online learning as an additional material, but use it as their main learning tool. In this study, we tried to summarize the definition of smart learning and examined how smart learning math classes affect academic achievement, mathematical interest, and attitudes. We manipulate groups that conducted smart learning and groups that conducted face-to-face learning, and compare academic performance, mathematical interest, and attitudes after six weeks of learning. As a result, we found that the smart learning group had a large values in all three factors compared to the face-to-face learning group. We also found moderating effect. Students with lower grades largely improved their academic achievement scores as the difference in attitude changes through smart learning compared to those with higher grades.
The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of students' storytelling on the science learning motivation and science related attitude in elementary science class. We had developed storytelling materials for 11 class hours on the 'Heat transfer and our life' unit based on the analysis of the 4th grade-science curriculum. The research sample was 22 4th graders who were belonged to one of the classes at an elementary school in Gwangju. The test of students' science learning motivation and science related attitude were administered before and after the storytelling treatment, and the difference was checked by the paired t-test using SPSS program. Students' perceptions on the storytelling were also investigated. The conclusions of this research are as follows. First, the students' storytelling tend to have somewhat positive influence on learning motivation. The each mean of post-test in the domain of attention, confidence and satisfaction was significantly higher than that of pre-test. Second, students' storytelling have a positive influence on scientific attitude. Although the means of post-test were higher than those of pre-test in both science subject attitude and scientific attitude domain, a statistically significant difference was found only in the scientific attitude domain. For future researches, the development of more story-materials or strategies for effective storytelling is needed.

Cognitive conflict plays a very important role towards conceptual change in science education. Many research were conducted on the topic, but they were limited and failed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive conflict strategies for conceptual change on science instruction. It is worth noting that the levels of cognitive conflict varied the same given situation. Besides, the conceptual change resulted in different forms, despite the same level of cognitive conflict. Assuming that one explanation could be found in the learners' characteristics, this study investigated the cognitive conflict and scientific conceptual change by learners' characteristics of middle school students. A proper understanding of the cognitive conflict will help science teachers to apply effectively the strategies towards science conceptual instruction. In this study, learners' characteristics are 'intelligence', 'cognitive level', 'general grade of science subject', 'cognitive style', 'personality', and 'attitudes related to science'. The results says; the intensity of cognitive conflict correlated with students' personality (reflectiveness) and attitudes related to science, and conceptual change correlated with intelligence and cognitive level.
This study attempts to find out how science classes using VR content affect students' scientific attitudes and spatial senses. For 4th and 5th graders of an elementary school, a comparative class and an experimental class were set up for each grade, and a total of 11 classes were conducted for each grade. Before and after class treatment, pre- and post-tests were conducted on scientific attitudes and spatial sensations, and interviews with students were conducted during class. After all the classes for the research unit were completed, a survey was conducted to find out the changes in students' perceptions. As results of this study show, it was found that science classes applying virtual reality (VR) content have positive effects on students' scientific attitudes and spatial ability.

The purpose of this study is to examined the relationship between child care teachers' science teaching efficacy and children's scientific attitude. Then, using the instructional creativity as a parameter to increase the quality of teacher-children interaction, we examined how the teacher-children relationship changed. In this study, 303 child care center teachers in Suwon, Gyeeonggi were surveyed. To analyze the data, structural equation modeling and Sobel-test were performed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0. The analysis results showed that child care center teachers' science teaching efficacy had positive effects on the teachers' creativity and the children's scientific attitude. Furthermore, the creativity of child care center teachers had a positive effect on children's scientific attitude. The result of the Sobel-test revealed that child care center teachers's creativity played a mediating role between teachers' science teaching efficacy and children's scientific attitude and acted as a key variable in promoting children's scientific attitude. In conclusion, it has been identified that the creativity of the infant teacher's teaching is an important change that has a positive effect on the child's scientific attitude. Therefore, if education is provided to enhance the creativity of the professor when the infant teacher is working as a science professor at the same time, it can contribute to the quality of the child's scientific attitude.
