  • The WAM wave model has been widely used for wave hindcasting in the ocean by many domestic and foreign researchers due to its relative simplicity and high accuracy. As this model was originally developed for the condition of deepwater and comparatively coarse grid size covering wide area, it might produce in a fault result caused by the improper distribution of directional spreading. We extensively investigated involved problems based on WAM Cycle 4 model and suggested the improved WAM model so that it is applicable to both shallow water sea and fine mesh wave simulation The modified W AM model is verified here by comparing the computed result with and the observed data at Ieodo Ocean Research Station for September of 2003.

The Relationship between Motivation on Satisfaction and Continuous Participation Intention in Rowing Academy (충주 조정체험아카데미의 참여동기와 만족 및 지속의도의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of motive for Rowing Academy participation on satisfaction and continuance intention. The participants were from general population who had experience of using Rowing Academy. A total of 230 questionnaires were distributed from Aug. 1 to Sep. 30, 2017 and, after excluding 29 questionnaires that had missed or inappropriate answers thus low reliability, 201 questionnaires were included in effective sample. The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 21 and IBM AMOS 21, and frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmative factor analysis, association analysis, path analysis through structural equation modelling analysis were performed. The results, based on them, are as follows: First, the health orientation factor, the family orientation factor, the social relationship orientation factor, the leisure orientation factor from motive for Rowing Academy participation had significant effect on satisfaction. Second,, the satisfaction with Rowing Academy participation had effect on continuation intention.

Study on Mechanical Properties of Hybrid Resins by Milk Casein and Waterborne Polyurethane for Safety Management of Industrial Disaster (Milk casein과 수용성 폴리우레탄 resin을 이용한 산업 안전 방재용 하이브리드 film의 합성 및 기계적 물성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study we synthesis Hybrid resin(WPC) by milk casein and waterborne polyurethane(WPU). Then we experiment how casein effect to Hybrid resins in Full-Grain leather coatings. According to measured data for solvent resistance, WPU resin and Hybrid resins had good property. As test of tensile strength, WPU had most low strength(2.130 $kg_f/mm^2$) and WPC-3(WPU 91: casein resin 9) had most high strength(2.191 $kg_f/mm^2$). Also we knew that most good property of abrasion is WPC-3(50.090 mg.loss). In elongation case, WPU had most good result(637 %) in this experiment.

A Study on Effects of the Residual Stresses Around Cold Working Hole of the Aircraft Structure (항공기 구조물의 체결용 HOLE을 COLD WORKING 할때 생성되는 잔류응력의 영향연구)

  • The objective of this research is to study effects of the residual stresses on the crack growth and the life of the structure, caused by cold working around the hole of the aircraft structure which will be jointed by rivets and bolts, etc. The compensated Morrow's equation, by experimental data from the materials AL7075-T6 and AL2024-T3, is suggested to calculate the values of the fatigue life prediction of the structure. Also, the compensated Forman's equation, by experimental data from a material AL7075-T6, is suggested to calculate the values of the crack growth prediction of the structure. It is founded that the calculated values from the suggested equations are almost close to the known values of the fatigue life prediction and the crack growth prediction. It is shown that this paper, associated with an initial research on the effects of residual stresses around hole, gives a direction to study the problem at the aircraft maintenance field.

  • Automatic Rudder Trim System(ARTS) is a device to reduce the pilot's work load for rudder trimming greatly required in varying abruptly aircraft's engine power. This paper represents a technical analysis and a design of control law of the ARTS. The control law of the ARTS is designed based on the analysis of aircraft's characteristics, system's requirements, and limitations. The control law is comprised of open loop control using the rudder trim map for a specific aircraft and closed loop control to compensate the error of the open loop control system. flight test results show that the ARTS can reduce pilot's work load for rudder trimming dramatically and can compensate the aircraft's transient yaw motion.

An Analysis of the Characteristics of the Processes of Pre-Service Chemistry Teachers in Making Written Test Items Using Think-Aloud Method (발성 사고법을 이용한 예비 화학 교사의 지필평가 문항 제작 과정의 특징 분석)

  • In this study, we investigated the characteristics of the individual processes of pre-service chemistry teachers in making written test items. For this, we analyzed the think-aloud processes of eight pre-service chemistry teachers while making six written test items about gas laws and their in-depth interview scripts. The characteristics of the processes were found to be divided into six categories; the lack of systemicity in planning stage for making written test items, the lack of awareness and consideration for the interrelationship between instruction and assessment, the diverse criteria in determining test item types, the difficulties in judging behavioral domains and difficulties of items in the table of specification, the limitation in using teacher's guides and misunderstanding of teacher's guides, and the limitation in point and/or content of review and differences depending on the time of review. These can provide some significant guidelines and implications in finding ways to improve pre-service chemistry teachers' ability to make written test items.

Early Development of Policy and Public Understanding of Nanotechnology in Korea (한국의 나노기술:초기 정책 형성과 사회적 수용을 중심으로)

  • Under the strong support of the government, nanotechnology(NT) has been expanded rapidly in Korea. Korea was one of the countries that followed the National Nanotechnology Initiative(NNI) of the US very soon and set up their own policies for NT. This paper argues that the main rationale of the Korean version of NNI was so called 'catch-up strategy' by entering at the early stage of new technology. It stimulated scientists and engineers from various disciplines to do researches and to establish new education programs in NT. Unlike IT and BT, however, such fast and big investment in NT was approved by the public in the sense that there has been few criticism on the governmental NT policies and potential harness of NT. With the relative uninterestedness of the civil society and competititveness seeking policy in NT, ELSI in NT was not included in the Korean version of NNI and the results of technology assessments on NT were not introduced to the public at all.

Preparation and Chrominance of Metal Oxide Coated Titania/Mica Pearlescent Pigment (금속산화물이 코팅된 마이카 티타니아 진주광택 안료의 제조 및 색차변화)

  • The inorganic pearlescent pigment have high physical and chemical stability, thus it is used in a variety field, which has better light stability, solvent resistance and thermostability. In this paper, we were synthesized the pearlescent pigment for cosmetics which was coated cobalt chloride for base of blue color metal oxide on mica titania substrate using hydrothermal synthesis method. To complement the color of the pigment by cobalt, pearl pigment were coated by different metal salt and cobalt ratio, to implement a variety of color value, depending on the kind of metal salts were synthesized. Synthesized pearlescent pigments appear various color as kind of added metal salt precursor and molar ration of cobalt and other metals. We controlled coating and color by composition of metal salt and type of metal salts, and that confirm the pigment characteristics of color changes through the analysis of color difference meter. Synthesized pigment was characterized by SPM, SEM, XRD, and EDS.

Preparation and Properties of Casein graft Carbon black / Polyurethane Composites (Casein 그래프트 카본블랙/폴리우레탄 복합체의 제조와 물성)

  • In this study, analyzed of changes resulting from the spread of carbon black in casein grafted water dispersed polyurethane using PPG. For this purpose, casein-grafted water-dispersed polyurethane and (PUD and CPUD's) samples were prepared and samples of CPCB's dispersed with carbon black were prepared. As a result of measuring the tensile strength using prepared samples, the tensile strength was increased to $3.01kgf/mm^2$ with CPUD3, which contains highly casein, in CPCB's tensile strength was measured as low as $2.54kgf/mm^2$ with increasing carbon black. Elongation was measured in 278% of PUD samples containing less casein, and CP3CB4 in CPCB's was measured as 157%. The abrasion resistance of the samples was 36.97 mg.loss for CPUD3 and 41.11 mg.loss for CP3CB4. The solvent resistance of the PUD 's sample and the CPCB' s sample were not changed.

  • 인류가 산업발전 등으로 인해 석유등 화석연료를 사용함에 따라 대기오염은 날로 악화되어 1952년 런던스모그 같은 참사를 맞이하였고 이에 각국은 이러한 대기 오염물질을 저감하기 위하여 노력한 결과 대기 오염물질은 낮아지고 있으나 이에 반해 이산화탄소 배출량 증가에 따른 지구 온난화 현상과 오존층 파괴는 지역적인 환경문제에서 번세계적인 환경문제로 확산 전개되고 있다. 특히 산업혁명후 화석연료의 급격한 사용증가로 인한 이산화탄소 배출량 증가는 지구를 온나화시키고 수십년 후에는 환경에 심각한 영향을 주게 되는 것은 의심할 여지가 없는 것으로 이는 지구환경문제 중에서 금회 최대의 과제로 대두되게 되었다. 이에 따라 1985년 UNEP 관리 이사회를 필두로 "지구환경보전에 관한 동경회의", "대기오염 및 기후변동에 관한 노드윅 회의", "백악관회의", "휴스톤 Summit" 등에서 이 문제가 거론되기 시작하여 '90. 8월에는 스웨덴에서 온난화에 대한 과학적 인식과 대책의 메카니즘을 정하기 위한 IPCC 4차 회의가 각국 대표들이 참석한 가운데 정치, 경제, 과학의 문제로 등장하여 우리생활의 근본을 좌우할 다각적인 논의가 진행된 바 있다. 또한 미국, 영국, 일본 등 선진국들의 정상이 모이는 G7 회담 등에서 논의되고 있는 것들 중 정치적인 문제를 제외하고는 환경문제를 가장 많이 다룬다는 외신보도를 우리는 여러번 접한바 있다. 현재 국제적 환경문제로 가장 관심이 집중되고 있는 문제 중 몇가지를 소개하면 우선 <몬트리올의 정서에 의한 오존층 보호>를 들 수 있겠고, 최근 국제 협약 제정을 추진하고 있는 "지구온난화 방지에 관한 기후협약" 그리고 유해폐기물의 국제교역에 관한 "바젤협약"과 함께 새로이 제기된 "생물학적 다양성 협약"등이 거론되고 있으며, 이에 덧붙여 미국의 "자동차배출가스 규제"도 우리나라 산업에 큰 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단된다. 본 논문은 이중 대기와 관련된 오존층 보호와 지구온난화 대책에 대한 국제회의 등에서 현재까지 논의되었거나 토의될 내용에 대하여 기술하고 특히 금년부터 집중적으로 국제협상이 진행될 지구온난화 문제에 대한 최근의 국제동향 우리나라의 입장을 기술하고자 한다.
