Developing a Practical Training Program for Architectural Engineering using DACUM Method (DACUM기법을 활용한 건축공학 실무 교과목 개발)

  • They have been indicating that they cannot make their new employees to be committed immediately to working and suggesting the need for development of the program for improving the undergraduate students' practical ability in the business of architectural engineering. Specifically, in case of local colleges and universities, it is relatively difficult to establish the relationship with local industries or institutes and get a chance to visit various construction sites and meet with experienced professionals. In this study, a new course in the business of architectural engineering is developed for improving the undergraduate students' practical ability. In addition, the class website is developed to provide multimedia educational materials for distance education. Surveys on the programs and course materials developed through this research study will be conducted periodically to improve them continuously. It will encourage their sustainable use.

Specification-based Program Slicing and Its Applications (명세 기반 프로그램 슬라이싱 기법과 응용)

  • More precise program slices could be obtained by considering the semantic relations between variables of interest, compared to the existing slicing techniques considering only the syntactic relations. In this paper, we present specification-based slicing that allows a better decomposition of the program by taking a specification as its slicing criterion. A specification-based slice consists of a subset of program statements which preserve the behavior and the correctness of the original Program with respect to a specification given by a pre-postcondition pair. Because specification-based slicing enables one to focus attention on only those program statements which realize the functional abstraction specified by the given specification, it can be widely used in many software engineering areas. Of its possible applications, we show how specification-based slicing can improve the Process for extracting reusable parts from existing programs and restructuring complex programs for better maintainability.

Comparing the Outplacement Programs for the Retiring Employees in Corporations (기업 퇴직근로자 전직지원프로그램 비교분석)

  • The purpose of the study was to compare the outplacement programs for the retiring employees in Korea corporations. We expect that this study will make contributions for increasing the quality of outplacement programs. We conducted the expert interviews and literature review and set a comparing criteria in terms of goal, target audience, program process and contents, operation process. We selected 6 different programs, which were KT, Samsung Electrounic, A consultancy firm specialized in outplacement, Korea labor foundation, and Korea international trade association. In results, we suggested the necessity of programs revision, the decrease of service recipient per a consultant, recommendation of alternative career path, and update of the programs for the service recipients who lacks of motivation. We also suggested that human resource department and chief executive officers made attentions for the outplacement programs as well as the government input more budget on the programs and consulting for the retirng employees.

  • According to the KEC 2005 accreditation criteria, enough major courses in addition to mathematics, basic science, computer science, cultural studies are required to fulfill the program's goal. So it is hoped that students have to take mandatory major courses as well cultural studies. In this paper we considered the necessity of General Education Curriculum for Engineering Education by analyzing the several university's accreditation programs and suggested the desirable modeling of the General Education Curriculum.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyse the correlation between students' perceptions on the achievement of program outcomes and grades. The subjects of this study were 4 programs at two engineering universities in Seoul. As a result, there is no significant correlation between students' self-assessment of the achievement of program outcomes and grades. Therefore, engineering colleges have to improve the way of assessing the students' achievement of program outcomes.

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest possibility of adaptation of course-embedded assessment for program outcome in engineering education through literature review on concept, benefits, adaptation process, case study in higher education of course-embedded assessment. The model of course-embedded assessment was given with consideration for each step, that is, set up of program outcomes, check of related courses, selection of assessment tools, set up of performance criteria, implementation of course-embedded assessment, and analysis of results. Some prerequisites were given to set up course-embedded assessment successfully in engineering education field of Korea.

  • 자바는 객체지향 언어이고 바이트코드로 번역 이후에는 플랫폼에 독립적으로 가상머신에 의해 실행될 수 있기 때문에 소프트웨어 개발과 유지보수에 많은 장점을 갖는다. 이러한 특징으로 인해 플랫폼에 독립적인 소프트웨어 개발에는 자바가 많이 이용된다. 그러나 바이트코드로 작성된 프로그램은 가상기계에서 인터프리터 방식으로 수행된다. 때문에 프로그램의 실행속도가 느리게 실행되는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 실행속도의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 여러 가지 방법들이 연구가 진행중이다. 본 논문은 자바 바이트코드가 가상기계에서 인터프리터 방식으로 수행할 때 바이트코드의 크기를 줄여 해석하는 부담을 줄이기 위해서 바이트 코드를 최적화하는 프레임워크를 구성한다. 프레임워크를 이용하여 바이트코드를 3주소 형태의 CTOC-T(Class To Optimizer Classes-Three Address Code)로 변환하여 프로그램을 분석을 할 수 있다. 또한 CTOC-T는 3주소 형태이므로 3주소 최적화 기법을 적용하여 최적화된 바이트코드를 생성하는 프레임워크를 설계한다.

  • 자바는 객체 지향언어로 네트워크 기반의 환경에서 응용프로그램을 효율적으로 개발을 위해 설계되었으며 특정 하드웨어나 운영체제에 영향을 받지 않고 동작 할 수 있는 높은 이식성을 가지고 있다. 하지만 자바 언어로 응용프로그램을 개발하면 다른 언어로 작성하는 것 보다 일반적으로 실행이 느리다는 단점이 발생하게 된다. 이를 극복하기 위해 자바 언어에 대한 최적화가 필요하다. 일반적으로 많이 쓰는 최적화 방법으로는 JIT와 같이 실행시간에 필요에 따라 컴파일하여 실행하는 방법과 바이트코드를 수행하고자 하는 특정 프로세서에 적합한 네이티브 코드를 생성하는 방법을 사용하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 방법들은 고유의 최적화 기법과 구현된 프로그램을 이용해서만이 최적화가 가능했고 또한 코드의 추출부터 최적화를 위한 모든 부분까지 구현해야하는 문제점이 있다. 또한 자바 바이트코드는 스택기반의 코드로써 명령어가 많고 표현이 명백하지 않다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 분석과 변환이 어렵기 때문에 자바 바이트코드를 스택 기반이 아닌 분석과 최적화가 용이한 3-주소 형태로 변환하여 최적화 기법을 적용해야 한다 본 논문에서는 자바 바이트코드와 3-주소 형태의 중간 코드인 CTOC-B에 대해서 설계한다.

  • This article is a theoretical and empirical study of engineering and gender, and also explores the policy development of WIE program. WIE in Korea aims to foster talented women engineers through the introduction of gender-sensitive engineering education system, field-adaptive skill improvements of women students, and industry-university collaborations. This study examines gender perspectives to analyze our WIE program. It is important to recognize that it's not enough to acquire institutional and structural equity in developing women in engineering. Above all, we should note our situations that has frustrated women's career development in engineering. In university education, we need to improve the engineering faculty's recognition of gender equity. Efforts to establish the professional identity of women engineers, involvement of men and women students, and building of women engineers' network are necessary elements to implement successful WIE program. Additionally, we discuss that policy support to WIE program should be continued and enlarged in university level.

  • 프로그래머들이 코딩을 할 때 발생하는 빈번한 실수는 많은 시간적 비용을 낭비할 수 있고 작은 실수가 전체 코드에 치명적인 에러를 유발하기도 한다. 이러한 문제점은 프로그래머들이 코드를 작성할 때 전체적인 알고리즘을 얼마나 잘 이해하는지와 이전 코드에 대한 이해력과 연관이 있다. 만약 코드에 대한 이해가 어렵다면 정교하고 간결한 코드를 작성하는데 무리가 있을 것이다. 기존 코드에 대한 난이도를 평가하는 방법은 자가평가 등을 통해 이루어져 왔다. 사람 내부 변화를 직접 측정하면 더 객관적인 평가가 가능할 것이다. 본 논문은 이런 문제들을 해결하고자 동공 추적이 가능한 아이트래커와 뇌파 측정이 가능한 EEG장비를 이용하여 습득한 생체 데이터를 통해 프로그래머들의 프로그램 난이도 예측 모델을 개발하였다.
