  • As mega-sized and complex building construction projects are increased, the importance of project scheduling and control is emphasized. Project scheduling and control technic is not used widely yet in Korea, but interests in it is progressively increased. By now, most research projects mainly have focused on scheduling issues. Project progress management is also as much important as project scheduling issues. Current state about project progress management in Korea is analysed and way for improvements are suggested in this paper. At first, research projects undergone and practice are analysed and fields experts are survey about current state about project progress management. This study suggests the progress management method for quantitative and qualitative project progress analysis.

  • Weather factors affect cost increases and progress management under construction. Because progress schedule is delayed by weather factors, the construction costs are increased. It is an essential element to control the progress schedule applying weather factors to the progress management. This study applies monthly working-day percentages which is estimated by databases of past weather information to RTPM system. Through do progress management in construction projects exactly, will try to minimize risk of process control that do that is to weather factors. Also, will compare calamity in safety supervision side that do that is to weather factors beforehand. Based on the factors and the expected impact of factors together with the weather data during the last 50 years in Seoul region gathered from Korea. Through it, calculated number of month working day of RCA's structural steel work. Studied way that apply to RTPM system.

  • Our government operates earned value management system (EVMS)of construction schedule and cost for improving earned management system of the construction projects. but There is two unification Method construction schedule and cost to estimate construction progress currently. This weight a staff work. therefore this study present unification method which operate integrate schedule and cost by using work task. In order to inflect verification and model of schedule and cost, this study develop prototype of EVMS.

  • 우리나라 대형 건설시장의 하나인 터널 시공은 계획 대비 많은 물량과 자재의 소모로 인해 이들 정보의 지속적 관리를 통한 정확한 물량 및 자재 산출 정보 예측에 대한 관심이 꾸준히 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 대부분의 시공현장에서는 굴진의 정확도 검측을 위해 광파기를 사용하고 있다. 광파기는 공사 초기 시부터 유지된 원점으로부터의 정확한 좌표를 사용하고 있어 취득된 정보는 신뢰할 수 있으나, 몇 개의 기준점을 측량하여 굴진방향 및 공사의 진척도를 평가하는 방식이므로, 전체적인 면을 측정하지 못한다는 단점이 있다. 이에 반하여 3차원 스캐너는 제원에 따른 반경 내의 모든 점들을 계측하여 그 정보를 선이 아닌 면으로써 파악하지만 위치에 대한 정확도를 포함할 수 없다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위하여, 광파기와 3차원 스캐너를 동시 활용하는 본 시스템은 현장에서 소모된 자원의 정확한 양을 체크하여 굴진정도를 파악하여 공사의 전반적인 진도를 관리할 수 있다. 또한 여굴의 발생 여부를 직접 확인하고 계획대비 소모된 물량정보를 통해 자재관리를 할 수 있게 된다. 마지막으로 추후 발생할 수 있는 하자에 대한 정확한 근거를 제시하여 균열 및 누수 등에 대한 정확한 원인 파악을 제공할 수 있다는 장점들을 제공한다.

  • The EAC(Estimate at Completion) among existing methods, which estimate cost and time effectively, help managers anticipate changeable several results at the point of $15{\sim}30%$ in the project progress. However, this method may cause such some problems as not to consider the periodically changing circumstances caused by construction risks or uncertainties which can affect the cost and time in the project, and to regard collected and accumulated data only as a single value when predicting the results on the progress. Accordingly, it is very difficult to accept the even small range of variability based on the anticipation of EAC. Consequently, the study focuses on the possibility methodology to anticipate time and cost accurately on the way to utilize EVMS(Earned Value Management System), and also suggest the way to perform the right estimation of EAC as considering various risks and uncertainties in construction projects.

  • Cost and duration is important factors which directly affect profit therefore must be forecasted correctly to accomplish success of projects. So construction company uses EVMS(Earned Value Management System) to forecast final cost and duration. But previous forecasting model has low accuracy because of its linear forecasting method and can't reflect characteristic of company and project and changes as each progress. This paper presents cost and duration forecasting model using the slope prediction of cost and duration as each progress to reflect the various characteristics of construction industry. EVMS data of 23 road construction projects was used to make up regression analysis equation of slope forecasting model.

Preventive Occupational Health and Safety Expense Estimation Method based on Fatality Statistics and Progress Model (중대재해발생률 및 진도관리모델을 고려한 공사진척도별 적정 안전보건관리비 산정기법)

  • The safety nature of construction industry differs from that of manufacturing sector. For instance, accident risk level dramatically varies at each phase of construction process. Korean Occupational and Health Safety Act has been regulated OHS expense and it contributed reducing accident risk and enhancing safety culture for many years. However, although current regulation guides to use OHS expense proportionate to construction progress, it still allows late use of the expense. This study was conducted for the purpose of presenting methods of estimating a step-by-step OHS expense rate required at each construction phase. In order to do provide proper OHS expense schedule, it analysed accident risk of each construction phase by sorting out 1439 cases of construction site fatality reports, and proposed a method of generating appropriate OHS expense scheme according to its construction work progress characteristics. Both linear and sigmoidal S-curve model were used for the analysis, and the latter generally requires earlier use of OHS expense. By comparing the estimated OHS expense use schedule with current criteria, more than 27%p early use of OHS expense is required for the prevention of accident.

  • Deep drilling project should be managed systematically and efficiently because it is significantly influenced by various related factors having uncertainty and high risk in terms of economy and effective management. In particular, drilling project involves participants from various sectors including necessary service company and it also needs their collaboration by sharing related information occurring at drilling process in order to secure efficient performance management. We developed 4D (3D + time) information based visualization system for progress management by combining 3D design model and predicted optimized control parameters for each section in geothermal well design. We also applied PDM (precedence diagramming method) to the system in order to setup the effective process model and hooked it up to 3D information based on precedence relation and required time for informatized process network.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze th especificity of landscape construction progress in order to develop the model of landscape construction schedule management. Nine case study area in housing complex was selected and the graphic curve of the accumulative payment by landscape construction schedule was analyzed. And the results are as follows: The graphic curve of common construction progress is S-curve but that of landscape construction progress is parabolic-curve, because landscape construction concentrally progress in last period of construction schedule. And particularly parabolic-curve seems to rise up suddenly in the last period when landscape construction amount is small.

  • Project management means usually managing the rate of construction progress. But it also contains preparing scheme of execution and establishing plan for equipment, material, labor force to finish project within expected duration. In this paper to establish effective project planning a road pavement operation is selected as a case and simulation method is used for analyzing it. Next probability distributions are created after analyzing collected data and these are reflected in simulation model. Simulated result is compared with real project planning using models of lean concrete pavement process and concrete slab pavement process to verify efficiency of this model. In the event we know that project planning using simulation is more effective than one of the field in the aspects of duration and cost. Meanwhile simulated result in this paper has a limitation in accuracy because various constraints of filed are not reflected in it. However if we reflect this constraints in model through examining field in future this limitation is expected to be improved.
