  • XML is normalized text form that is designed to transmit structured document in web as that propose in W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) in 1996. Function that this can overcome HTML's limit that use in existing in Internet and user define new tag to HTML by way to solve SGML's complexity added. There is many efforts to use storing this XML document in RDBMS but to relation style DB because XML document is tree structure structurally data SQL and perfect disaster caused by things that is language to ask a question accomplish XQuery that so it is W3C's XML standard query appear. After store XML informations including space information to RDBMS in this paper, Spatial XQuery through converter that is Sqatial XQuery2SQL through Spatial operator, Spatial function SQL of by Sqatial XQuery2SQL conversion algorithm that draw information in RDBMS after change embody wish to.

  • With the rapidly growing amount of information represented in RDF format, efficient querying of RDF graph has become a fundamental challenge. SPARQL is one of the most widely used query languages for retrieving information from RDF dataset. SPARQL is not only simple in its syntax but also powerful in representation of graph pattern queries. However, users need to make a lot of efforts to understand the ontology schema of a dataset in order to compose a relevant SPARQL query. In this paper, we propose a graph query formulation and processing scheme based on ontology schema information which can be obtained by summarizing RDF graph. In the context of the proposed querying scheme, a user can interactively formulate the graph queries on the graphic user interface without making efforts to understand the ontology schema and even without learning SPARQL syntax. The graph query formulated by a user is transformed into a set of class paths, which are stored in a relational database and used as the constraint for search space reduction when the relational database executes the graph search operation. By executing the LUBM query 2, 8, and 9 over LUBM (10,0), it is shown that the proposed querying scheme returns the complete result set.

  • Social network services (SNS) that help to build relationship network and share a particular interest or activity freely according to their interests by posting comments, photos, videos,${\ldots}$ on online communities such as blogs have adopted and developed widely as a social phenomenon. Several researches have been done to explore the pattern and valuable information in social networks data via text mining such as opinion mining and semantic analysis. For improving the efficiency of text mining, keyword-based approach have been applied but most of researchers argued the limitations of the rules of Korean orthography. This research aims to construct a database of non-standard Korean words which are difficulty in data mining such abbreviations, slangs, strange expressions, emoticons in order to improve the limitations in keyword-based text mining techniques. Based on the study of subjective opinions about specific topics on blogs, this research extracted non-standard words that were found useful in text mining process.

  • This study examines potential growth and different perspectives on green-walls, which are being re-evaluated recently. The aim is to identify the viewer preferences concerning the walls by collecting a wide spectrum of information to create an interior design related comprehensive and intellectual database. Also based on this proposition, choosing a green surface of indoor wall as a specific example stimulus, identifying a relationship betweeationsviewer's preference factors. The relationship will formulate detailed and absolute qualities, which will reach potential areas that the green walls can be widely applied in. As a result of a factor analysis, the viewers classified into the 3 factors as is pleasant, gorgeous and rich about the stimulus. Preferred key factors, which are closely related to emotional image language, were; cool, tidy, comfortable and beautiful. The common factors in preferred design stimulus, in order of importance are color>elements>image/form/plants. Specific levels of design factors according to relevance are contrast>furniture> modern>central/creeper foliage plants. In the meantime, this study is leading the process of quantitative measurement of green-walls to a new design direction and it is critical to consistently experimenting to back up the theory with solid evidence.

n-Gram/2L: A Space and Time Efficient Two-Level n-Gram Inverted Index Structure (n-gram/2L: 공간 및 시간 효율적인 2단계 n-gram 역색인 구조)

  • The n-gram inverted index has two major advantages: language-neutral and error-tolerant. Due to these advantages, it has been widely used in information retrieval or in similar sequence matching for DNA and Protein databases. Nevertheless, the n-gram inverted index also has drawbacks: the size tends to be very large, and the performance of queries tends to be bad. In this paper, we propose the two-level n-gram inverted index (simply, the n-gram/2L index) that significantly reduces the size and improves the query performance while preserving the advantages of the n-gram inverted index. The proposed index eliminates the redundancy of the position information that exists in the n-gram inverted index. The proposed index is constructed in two steps: 1) extracting subsequences of length m from documents and 2) extracting n-grams from those subsequences. We formally prove that this two-step construction is identical to the relational normalization process that removes the redundancy caused by a non-trivial multivalued dependency. The n-gram/2L index has excellent properties: 1) it significantly reduces the size and improves the Performance compared with the n-gram inverted index with these improvements becoming more marked as the database size gets larger; 2) the query processing time increases only very slightly as the query length gets longer. Experimental results using databases of 1 GBytes show that the size of the n-gram/2L index is reduced by up to 1.9${\~}$2.7 times and, at the same time, the query performance is improved by up to 13.1 times compared with those of the n-gram inverted index.

  • 한반도 국가바람지도(김현구, 2009)는 한국에너지기술연구원에서 지식경제부의 부처임무사업으로 구축되었으며 현재 웹서비스(http://www.kier-wind.org)를 통하여 정보를 제공하고 있다. 국가바람지도는 수치기상예측(NWP; Numerical Weather Prediction) 모델을 이용하여 영토, 영해에 대해 $1km{\times}1km$의 고해상도로 작성한 뒤(이순환 등, 2009) 풍력자원 정보로 재가공되었다. 한반도 국가바람지도는 5년의 장기간에 대한 시계열 수치기상예측에 의하여 구축되었기 때문에 데이터베이스(DB; database)의 효율적 관리가 필연적으로 요구된다. MM5 또는 WRF 모델의 고유 출력포맷의 자료구조는 풍력자원분석에 필요한 기상요소 외에도 대기과학자에게 필요한 수많은 기상인자를 종합적으로 포함하고 있다. 따라서 2차원 층(layer) 또는 3차원 공간분포 분석 및 계산격자인 셀(cell)에서의 1차원 시계열 분석 등 다양한 자료축출에는 비효율적인 자료구조가 된다. 이러한 자료구조의 불편을 해소하기 위해서는 기상요소별로 독립적이고 빈번한 시계열 자료 추출에 효율성을 가지며 어떤 프로그래밍 언어를 사용하든지 직관적으로 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 바람지도 데이터베이스의 재구성이 요구된다. 이에 대용량 수치자료의 처리 측면에서 장점을 가지는 과학기술 프로그래밍 언어인 IDL을 기반으로 국가바람지도의 자료구조를 효율화하여 데이터베이스화 하였으며 IDL에 내재된 그래픽 기능을 활용하여 가시화를 구현함으로써 연구개발자의 입장에서 국가바람지도의 활용성 및 효율성을 향상시키고자 하였다.

Recognizing that a person doesn't put on a safety cap using DSP. (DSP(Digital signal proccesor)를 이용한 산업현장에서의 안전모 미착용 인식 기술)

  • This paper proposes a method of recognizing that a person doesn't put on a safety cap using image processing method in DSP(Digital Signal Processor). It processes inputted images by image input devices that equipped in a industrial settings. If the method recognizes a person that doesn't put on a safety cap, a system transfers relevant recognition result to a supervisor and takes proper measures. If an accident happens and someone doesn't put on a safety cap, additional casualities could be. Proposed method can nip additional casualties in the bud. To recognize that a person don't put on a safety cap, images are processed by object abstraction, removal of noise, decision of a thing or a person, abstraction of a head part in a image, recognizing whether a man puts on a safety cap using HSV color space or not, and so on. Image input and image process are processed by DSP. And C language-based codes are optimized by an eignefunction(Intrinsics) for speed improvement of algorithms.

Analysis of Mathematical Communication in Building-Block Lessons for 2nd Graders (2학년 쌓기나무 수업에서의 수학적 의사소통 분석)

  • This study focused on classroom dialogue for communicating spatial information which is supposed to be implemented through learning activities using building-blocks. Even though mathematics textbooks for $2^{nd}$ graders have activities which require abilities of explaining and understanding some spatial information, we know few about how mathematical communication between teacher and students or among students and which strategies are more effective. For this reason, two building-block lessons for $2^{nd}$ graders were observed. The characteristics of teachers' instruction and students' explanation were identified and the mathematical communication between teachers and students or among students was analyzed. As a result, mains factors of impeding students' explanation and understanding were induced and the types of their communication were classified. Based on these results, several teaching strategies for effective communication in buildingblock lessons were suggested.

  • Recently, as the number of Internet users are growing explosively, e-learning has been applied spread, as well as remote evaluation of intellectual capacity However, only the multiple choice and/or the objective tests have been applied to the e-learning, because of difficulty of natural language processing. For the intelligent marking of short-essay typed answer papers with rapidness and fairness, this work utilize heterogenous linguistic knowledges. Firstly, we construct the semantic kernel from un tagged corpus. Then the answer papers of students and instructors are transformed into the vector form. Finally, we evaluate the similarity between the papers by using the semantic kernel and decide whether the answer paper is correct or not, based on the similarity values. For the construction of the semantic kernel, we used latent semantic analysis based on the vector space model. Further we try to reduce the problem of information shortage, by integrating Korean Word Net. For the construction of the semantic kernel we collected 38,727 newspaper articles and extracted 75,175 indexed terms. In the experiment, about 0.894 correlation coefficient value, between the marking results from this system and the human instructors, was acquired.

Implementation of GIS-based Application Program for Circuity and Accessibility Analysis in Road Network Graph (도로망 그래프의 우회도와 접근도 분석을 위한 GIS 응용 프로그램 개발)

  • Recently, domain-specific demands with respect to practical applications and analysis scheme using spatial thematic information are increasing. Accordingly, in this study, GIS-based application program is implemented to perform spatial analysis in transportation geography with base road layer data. Using this program, quantitative estimation of circuity and accessibility, which can be extracted from nodes composed of the graph-typed network structure, in a arbitrary analysis zone or administrative boundary zone is possible. Circuity is a concept to represent the difference extent between actual nodes and fully connected nodes in the analysis zone. While, accessibility can be used to find out extent of accessibility or connectivity between all nodes contained in the analysis zone, judging from inter-connecting status of the whole nodes. In put data of this program, which was implemented in AVX executable extension using AvenueTM of ArcView, is not transportation database information based on transportation data model, but layer data, directly obtaining from digital map sets. It is thought that computation of circuity and accessibility can be used as kinds of spatial analysis functions for GIS applications in the transportation field.
