Analysis of fault characteristics in Catenary system for protection of AC feeding system (교류 급전시스템 보호를 위한 전차선로 고장특성 분석)

  • This paper analyzes impedance convergence characteristics and harmonics of electric locomotives operation and fault condition. To simulate the various fault and operation condition, AT feeding system and various locomotives are modeled using PSCAD/EMTDC. Analysis shows that impedance are converged into protection area in the case of short fault between catenary and rail or catenary and feeder line but in the case of disconnection fault, impedance is rater bigger so protective relay can't detect the fault. Therefore more analysis of overload and high impedance fault caused disconnection fault is needed.

  • 접지설비는 다른 설비에 비해서 단지 부속설비처럼 안이하게 취급하는 경우가 많다. 그러나 접지설비는 전로의 이상전압을 억제하고 지락시의 고장전류를 안전하게 대지로 흘려 인체의 보호나 화재, 기기의 손상 등의 재해를 방지하는 것뿐만 아니라 제어기기를 안정하게 동작시키는 등의 역할을 위한 필수불가결한 설비이다. 특히 최근 전자기기의 급격한 증가에 따라 안정된 신호계를 확보하기 위한 접지설비가 다양화, 혼재화하고 있다. 접지를 하여야 할 설비에는 전력설비, 정보$\cdot$통신설비(신호, 제어, 유무선통신, 컴퓨터 등), 피뢰설비(피뢰침, 피뢰도선, 가공지선 등)를 비롯하여 정전기 제거설비, 유도장해 방지설비 등 여러 가지 설비가 있다. 접지는 기본적으로 대지에 전기적 단자를 접속하는 것으로 즉, 금속 등의 도전성 물체를 대지와 전기적으로 접속하여 도전성물체의 전위를 대지와 같은 전위 또는 전위차를 최소화시키는 것을 말한다. 금속체와 대지를 접속하는 단자의 역학을 하는 것이 접지전극(Grounding electrode)이라고 하며 보통은 지중에 매설되어 있는 도체가 사용된다. 접지전극과 접지를 하는 설비를 연결하는 도선을 접지도선 또는 접지선(Grounding conductor)이라고 한다. 따라서 접지설비를 설계하기 위해서는 접지의 목적, 기능, 종류를 정확하게 이해하여 접지시스템을 구축함과 동시에 적절한 접지개소, 접지선, 접지극을 선정하고 시공하여야 한다.

스마트 항로표지 활용·확산을 위한 법·제도 개선 방안

  • 항로표지법은 항로표지를 설치하고 합리적이고 효율적으로 관리하여 해상교통의 안전을 도모하고, 선박 운항의 능률을 향상시키는데 이바지하는 것을 목적하며, 항로표지의 정의와 설치·관리 및 보호, 장비·용품 등의 연구·개발 및 검사 등을 법으로 규정하고 있다. 항로표지는 해상교통의 중요한 인프라로 미래 해상환경 패러다임(MASS, AI Port, Digiral twin 등)에 대응이 가능한 스마트 항로표지로 전향하는 길목에 있다. 스마트 항로표지는 자가 고장진단 및 전원유지, 다중통신 기술 인터페이스를 제공하는 등 다목적 해양플랫폼, 전원관리시스템, 해양용다중통신 플랫폼 등을 국가 R&D를 통해 개발하고 있으며, 국내 해상 실증을 통한 글로벌 표준 제정 등의 과정을 거쳐 최종적으로는 기술이전을 통한 국내 관련 업체들의 해외진출까지를 목표로 하고 있어 기존 항로표지법을 개발될 스마트 항로표지 적용 및 활용·확산을 위한 개선 방안 마련이 필요하다.

  • H-Bridge Multi-Level (HBML) 고압인버터는 저압의 반도체 소자를 사용하는 단상 H-Bridge 인버터로 구성 된 셀을 직렬로 연결함으로써 정현파에 가까운 고전압을 얻을 수 있고, 입 출력 고조파가 낮아서 필터가 필요 없는 토폴로지로 산업분야에서 사용이 확대되고 있다. 본 논문은 HBML 고압인버터의 마스터 제어기와 셀 제어기의 통신 하드웨어를 병렬로 구성하여서 하나의 전압지령 값과 Angle 값으로 셀에서 PWM을 구현 할 수 있는 분산제어 방식을 제안한다. 이 방식에서 셀 제어기가 전압, 전류, 주파수, 보호기능, 통신감시 정보 등 셀 제어의 대부분을 담당함으로써 마스터 제어기의 부담을 줄이고, 따라서 신호선의 개수를 줄일 수 있다. 또 통신하드웨어의 종단에 마스터 제어기를 연결만 하면 마스터제어기의 2중화가 가능하므로 사용하고 있던 마스터 제어기의 고장 발생 시에 대체하여 사용할 수 있으므로 시스템의 안정성 향상에 도움을 준다. 선간전압 33레벨로 구성된 HBML 고압인버터 시험을 통해 제안된 방식의 타당성과 신뢰성을 검증한다.

  • Database management systems(DMBS)using bolatile memory shluld have a recovery function to protect data against system failutes.Recovery requires much overhead in transaction proessing and is one of the great factors that deteriorate the system performance.Recently, there have been a lot of studies on database systems with nonbolatile memory to enhance the performance.A nonbolatile memory called DFeRAM is one of the promising memory devices of the future technology, but this device does not support fine-franularity licking.In this paper, we present a dual plane FeRAM(DFeRAM)architecture to support the fine-granularity locking.We also propose a recovery algorithm for the database system with the DFeRAM based on a shadow paging methed.In order to analze the performance of the proposed algorithm, we present an analytical model and analyze the performance using the moedl.

  • DCS (Distributed Control System), the main control system of power plants, is an automated system for enhancing operational efficiency by monitoring, tuning and real-time operation. DCS is becoming more intelligent and open systems as Information technology are evolving. In addition, there are a large amount of investment to enable proactive facility management, maintenance and risk management through the predictive diagnostics. However, new upcoming weaponized malware, such as Stuxnet designed for disrupting industrial control system(ICS), become new threat to the main control system of the power plant. Even though these systems are not connected with any other outside network. The main control systems used in the power plant usually have been used for more than 10 years. Also, this system requires the extremely high availability (rapid recovery and low failure frequency). Therefore, installing updates including security patches is not easy. Even more, in some cases, installing security updates can break the warranty by the vendor's policy. If DCS is exposed a potential vulnerability, serious concerns are to be expected. In this paper, we conduct the penetration test by using NESSUS, a general-purpose vulnerability scanner under the simulated environment configured with the Ovation version 1.5. From this result, we suggest a log analysis method to detect the security infringement and react the incident effectively.

  • The smart grid with distributed power supply introduces a number of problems including not only the problems of the existing power grid but also the problem of protection co-operation due to new electric phenomenon because it has a mixed operation structure combining the existing radial operation structure and the new loop operation structure. The EMTP based power system analysis method has flexibility and convenience from the view of system configuration but it requires another experimental verification because of uncertainty of design and analysis results. On the other hand, the real demonstration system has difficulties in observing accurate fault on large scale system due to considerable economical and spatial construction cost, system configuration constraint, and it is difficult to demonstrate the distributed, autonomous and adaptive control strategy of smart grid. In this paper, a basic theory for a micro smart grid simulator design using MEMS(Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems) miniaturization technology is studied which can safely and freely experiment and observe electrical phenomena, and distribution, autonomous adaptive control strategy for disturbances on 22.9kV smart grid under minimum economic and spatial cost.

Analysis of Return Current Effect for Track Circuit on Ho-Nam high Speed Line (고속열차 운행에 따른 호남고속철도 궤도회로 귀선전류 영향 분석)

  • Depending on the operating characteristics, track circuit is installed for the purpose of direct or indirect control of the signal device, point switch machine and other security device. These are mainly used for train detection, transmission of information, broken rail detection and transmission of return current. Especially, the return current is related to signal system, power system and catenary line, and track circuit systems. It is one of the most important component shall be dealt for the safety of track side staff and for the protection of railway-related electrical system according to electrification. Therefore, an accurate analysis of the return current is needed to prevent the return current unbalance and the system induced disorder and failure due to an over current condition. Also, if the malfunction occurred by the return current harmonics, it can cause problems including train operation interruption. In this paper, we presented measurement and analysis method at return current and it's harmonics by high speed train operation on the honam high speed line.

  • This paper presents the guideline for enhancing the reliability and availability of SAS with IEC 61850 based IEDs in real power system. The IEC 61850 standard communication networks and systems allow utilities to consider new designs for substations applicable both new substation and refurbishments. The existing solutions are based on hardwired interface between the primary substation equipment and the secondary protection, monitoring, control and recording devices. All over the world, lots of projects at different stages of realization have been reported during the last year leading to a rapid maturation of the associated technologies. At present, IEC 61850 is becoming a popular communication standard for the substation automation system.

  • In this paper, we will treat the diagnosis problem to accurately determine fault types. The judgement of fault types is accomplished by observing the cluster newly formed with faults and clustering the input current waveforms to intrinsically show the conditions with the dignet that is a clustering algorithm. The types of input current waveforms are, however, constrained during normal operation, though it considers the load character. In case of faults. new clusters are generated outside the clusters. which appear during normal operation, because the input current waveforms of the induction motor are generated by the type which is not observed in case of faults. The diagnosis about the types of faults is essential to building a fault tree about the induction motor, and it removes the causes of the faults using a fuzzy logic. We, first, constitute a fault tree, which connects with the parts and the entire system of the induction motor, and investigate fault modes which can be generated from the fault tree and the relationship of the cause and the effect of each part (of the motor). Also, we distinguish the faults of each part by means of inducing the said of fuzzy relation equations encapsulating the relationship of the fault modes and each part.
