  • As the competition becomes more severe, the importance of brand confidence is coming to the front mainly because there has been a tendency of the customer for choosing a product or service in conjunction with the confidence. The concept of brand personality has formed as a result of various efforts for establishing a differentiated and confident brand image. The brand personality is regarded a useful mean for meeting objectives of a corporation for establishing a distinctive brand identity as well as customers for expressing their self-image. In line with the growing importance of the brand personality, researchers have attempted to measure it by various methods. However, most of researches were based on verbal and quantitative methods which take a long period of time and lots of efforts to analyze their results. Such methods also have limitations for visualizing the results. In this vein, this study aims to develop a new visible brand personality measurement system by utilizing the purpose-designed avatar. Major findings of the study are as follows: Firstly, the avatar can be an effective mean for visualizing the brand personality. As the avatar can visualize the personalities of human-beings through facial expressions, clothing, attitudes and movements, a specially designed avatar can express the brand personality. Secondly, types of the brand personality can be segregated into distinctive seven classes and such classes are used as guidelines for developing specially designed brand personality avatars. Thirdly, the purpose-designed brand personality avatar can be an effective mean for measuring the brand personality as a result of various tests for the validity. In condusion, avatar can be a more powerful tool than language for measuring the brand personality.

  • I tried to analyze export relation of influence in Chinese H beam(common steel), Hot Rolled Steel(common steel), Plate(common steel) which could be influenced immediately by China's cancellation of the export rebate of value added tax in 2010 through the statistic methods such as cointegration, Granger causality, impulse response and variance decomposition. In the first period they mutually influenced each other in export to Korea but in the second period, this relation of influence was lessoned. Due to production expansion of Hot Rolled Steel(common steel), Plate(common steel) in Korea, the change of import trend, the market change of steel users' industries and China's expedient export of boron steel to Korea, mutual influence among these products was greatly declined. Ever since Hyundai Steel's production expansion involving blast furnace facilities, there is need for the industry to concentrate on developing new markets for its facilities' output in Korea. Therefore, Korea's steel industry desperately needs strength of de-jure standards such as unique quality standards and related certifications, efficient distribution management, as well as export promotion strategy through its global trading network to effectively address its structural supply-demand imbalances.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the structural elements of HMR in Korea foods and explore the way HMR products using Korean foods can be developed at this time of increased interest. Through an investigation of its importance by attributes and their partial values, hypothetical HMR products using Korean foods were estimated. In order to develop the optimal HMR goods of Korean food, a preference survey was conducted after selecting 9 profiles using conjoint analysis with orthogonal design, and 4 holdout sets were generated and used for cross-validity authorization and reliability of the model. The results of this study showed that customers put cooking levels, menu price, and the location of purchase into importance when selecting HMR products of Korean foods. They preferred to eat the products after sufficiently heating them and buy the products sold online and through home shopping programs, with the price range of 10,000 won and over. It was concluded that more customers can be attracted if a variety of HMR products using Korean foods which can be prepared readily anywhere and at any time are developed.

  • As the capital of knowledge becomes more important than traditional capital like land or labor in the 21st century, the most competitive resource for corporations is knowledge. Furthermore, corporations may evaluate and improve latent knowledge of 'intellectual capital(IC)' within organizations, which will enhance their performance in the future. However, most Korea Distribution Companies have evaluated only tangible assets, ignoring latent capital. Since enterpreneurs have recognized that they cannot explain the difference between maret value and book value, the major advanced states lead to more sophisticated techniques to evaluate IC value. Although it is extremely important and urgent to evaluate IC value, the indexes of evaluating IC have never been examined and have been adopted by many corporations. Therfore, this study intends to develop a index for IC valuation. This study hopes to give some insights into the practical use of intellectual capital for the Korea Distribution Companies and help them develop a strategic perspective to enhance their competitiveness.

  • In general, there are many difficulties in collecting, storing, and analyzing SNS (social network service) data, since those data have big data characteristics, which occurs very fast with the mixture form of structured and unstructured data. In this paper, we propose a new data visualization framework that works on Apache Storm, and it can be useful for real-time and dynamic analysis of SNS data. Apache Storm is a representative big data software platform that processes and analyzes real-time streaming data in the distributed environment. Using Storm, in this paper we collect and aggregate the real-time Twitter data and dynamically visualize the aggregated results through the tag cloud. In addition to Storm-based collection and aggregation functionalities, we also design and implement a Web interface that a user gives his/her interesting keywords and confirms the visualization result of tag cloud related to the given keywords. We finally empirically show that this study makes users be able to intuitively figure out the change of the interested subject on SNS data and the visualized results be applied to many other services such as thematic trend analysis, product recommendation, and customer needs identification.

The studay also carried out analysis of frequency, reliability, and correlation employing SPSS V. 20.0. The findings of the study are as follows. 1) Among 4 factors of food tourism experience types, gourmet, knowledge and healing pursuit groups havd a positive influence on purchase intention, although relation pursuit group had no significant influence on purchase intention. 2) It was discovered that purchase intention had a positive influence on visitor satisfaction. The results shown that food tourists have basic experience of gourmet with paying attention on knowledge and healing, as well. But food tourist has no significant influence on the group of relation pursuit. Accordingly, in order to encourage food tourists to re-visit, it is necessary to continuously develop and improve tour programs with well organized tour destinations and social system.

  • Recently security is being an important issue in almost every field of industry. This situation has affected port logistics industry deeply. Ports are now leaving operational methods that only focus on productivity, and shifting to new ones which focus on safety and customer services on the basis of it. Thus a lot of companies and institutions have offered various solutions as this issue becomes more and more intense. Among them, most typical solutions involve installing special devices to ordinary containers to improve its security, such as CSD (Container Security Device) of GE (General Electric) and eSeal of Savi Networks. On the other hand, these devices focus only on international standards or technical implementation, and this causes inconvenience to actual users like cargo owners, sea carriers, or stevedoring companies. This is considered to be due to lack of sufficient consideration on user demands. This research uses QFD (Quality Function Deployment) method for deducting system requirements in order to solve the problems of previous security devices and to develop a security system that can not only reflect the demands of the users but also considers real-world conditions. According to the QFD results, a total of 21 system CTO's were deducted under 5 categories.

  • In SCM(Supply Chain Management), a management paradigm where the customer satisfaction is to be achieved by minimizing the cost, reducing the uncertainty, and obtaining the overall optimization. As it performs the integrated operation of the paths of information, assets, and knowledge from the raw material providers to the retailers, the adoption of RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) in SCM could be expected to magnify the effectiveness of the system. However, there is a huge risk by deciding whether or not RFID system is adopted without the objective analysis under the uncertain circumstances. This research paper presents the statistical analysis methodologies for the comparison of RFID with Barcode on the aspect of utility and the statistical analysis tool, RUSAT, which was programmed for nonstatisticians' convenience. Assuming a pharmaceutical industry, this paper illustrates how the data were entered and analyzed in RUSAT. The results of this research are expected to be used not only for the pharmaceutical related company but also for the manufacturer, the whole-saler, and the retailer in the other logistic industries.
