  • Player experience study includes the behavior and psychological responses of player to game content. And, it focuses on the player's aesthetic experience for specific game elements rather than comprehensive game experiences. This paper presents the player's aesthetic experience data derived from the gameplay process as a code, and analyzes the aesthetic experience data by player experience level for adventure games. These researching results might complement the limitations of existing game analysis research, and provide practical data which creator could apply at the design stage of game.

  • Smart-phones have become a vital part of our lives, paying a bill online, shopping using applications, using email and office applications. Therefore, the risk of the leakage of personal informations and the misuse of them becomes high, for the cost of loosing smart-phone. Many types of smart-phone security features such as password, slide-lock, and pattern lock have been introduced. However, those security locks make users not to easily access and use a smart-phone. There is tradeoff between security on one hand, and usability and cost on the other. This paper propose Self-Concealment to solve the tradeoff problem and demonstrate the effect through the experiment. In sum, Self-Concealment lowers smart-phone experience; however increases smart-phone use intension. This paper has implication for proposing new User Experience (UX) construct to resolve the trade-off between security and usability.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of relationships among participants in a group mentoring program. Sixteen youths who participated as mentees in a group mentoring program were theoretically sampled and participated in in-depth interviews. The analysis was based on Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory approach(1990). The result shows that the qualitative text data were classified into 14 categories and 31 sub-categories. Four different types of mentees' experiences were identified: 'expanded mentoring relationship', 'peer-oriented relationship', 'task-oriented relationship' and 'avoidant relationship'. Through a process analysis, four stages including 'stage of exploring', 'stage of establishing relations', 'stage of conflict' and 'stage of expanding relations' were discovered. Implications for social work intervention and policy development were discussed based on these findings.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the experience of the mother-daughter relationship among middle-aged women in depth through the process of admission to nursing home facilities of their dementia mother. For the purpose, 8 middle-aged women whose dementia mothers were admitted to nursing care facilities were selected as research subject, and data collection was carried out through individual interviews. As a result of this research based on the phenomenological method of Colazzi, 3 categories, 6 sub-categories, and 17 subject bundles were derived. Research results can be summarized as follows: First, the mother-daughter relationship was dramatically reversed in the process of mother's admission to the nursing care facilities. Second, in the process of dementia mother's admission to the nursing care facilities, it was confirmed that daughters rather than sons were in an independent position regarding care and management. Third, in the process of dementia mother's admission to the nursing care facilities, it turned out that the entire family experiences depression, anxiety, and feeling of loss due to a sudden change in mother-daughter relationship as well as further transformation in family relationship, suggesting that there is a need to operate education or consultation programs for the family members to help them accommodate and deal with the sudden change.

  • Information literacy which is related various forms of literacy can be defined as a vital competency of individuals in digital based knowledge information society. This basic survey research is aimed to assess information literacy level of the undergraduate students. For this study a proper model of information literacy is used which based 5 Performance processes and 12 performance abilities. The result of this survey is as follows: 1) Among the S performance process elements.'result evaluation' element showed high level competency than other elements. 2) There were high correlations within performance Process elements and performance ability elements. 3) Those items such as academic grade, first experience of information retrieval, and experience of information literacy instruction affect the difference in the level of information literacy.

  • To solve the large scale optimization problem approximately, various approaches have been introduced. Recently the Particle Swarm Optimization has been introduced. The Particle Swarm Optimization simulates the process of birds flocking or fish schooling for food, as with the information of each agent is skated by other agents. The Particle Swarm Optimization technique has been applied to various optimization problems whose variables are continuous. However, there are seldom trials for visualization of searching process. This paper proposes a new visualization tool for searching process of Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm. The proposed tool is effective for understanding the searching process of Particle Swarm Optimization method and educational for students. The computational results can be shown tiny and very helpful for education.

  • The purpose of the phenomenological study was to explore the practitioner's experiences according to practitioner's perception and to enrich our understanding about them. In order to accomplish the purpose of research, 7 practitioners with out-of-school youths participated. Data were collected through in-depth interview. In addition, the data were analyzed by a Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis. The findings showed that the meaning of experiences in practitioners with out-of-school youths were identified as 17 themes and 5 categories. The 5 categories consisted of "School is not amused", "Family is unhappy", "They hide behind pain or excuses", "Let's go together, until it can be found", "We hope the world changed". Based on the findings, we discussed the meaning of experiences in practitioners with out-of-school youths.
