외래 통원 관상동맥질환 노인환자의 건강정보이해능력, 건강임파워먼트가 건강행위이행에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Health Literacy and Health Empowerment on Health Behavior Practice in Elderly Outpatients with Coronary Artery Disease)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this descriptive study was to identify the influence of health literacy and health empowerment on health behavior practice in elderly patients with coronary artery disease. Methods: 239 elderly outpatients older than 65 years of age were included. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics including independent t-test, ANOVA, and hierarchical regression. Results: Major factors having a significant impact on health behavior practice were health literacy (${\beta}=.26$, p<.001) and health empowerment (${\beta}=.32$, p<.001). Health literacy was increased by 4.7% after controlling for general and health-related characteristics. Health empowerment increased by 5.9% after controlling for general and health-related characteristics, and health literacy. The two variables explained 35% of the variance in health behavior practice (F=7.74, p<.001). Conclusion: The main findings of this study can be utilized as the foundation for developing programs to promote health empowerment and health behavior practice of the elderly population. Furthermore, the results of the study can also be used to establish health-related strategies.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify influence of health behavior in patients with coronary artery disease. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design included 150 patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention in S hospital in S city. Data were collected by using self-questionnaires July 5-August 26, 2021 and were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with SPSS 23.0. Results: Factors significantly influencing health behavior in patients with coronary artery disease were health empowerment (β = .48, p< .001), and post-traumatic growth (β = .20, p= .013). The explanatory power of related variables was 39%. Conclusion: Based on the this study, it was found that health empowerment and post-traumatic growth had a significant effect on the health behavior of patients with coronary artery disease. Thus, it is necessary to promote the health behavior of patients with coronary artery disease through the development of intervention programs to improve health empowerment and post-traumatic growth.

전문간호사와 일반간호사의 임파워먼트, 직무만족, 조직몰입 비교 (A Comparison of Empowerment, Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment between Advanced Practice Nurses and Registered Nurses of Hospitals)

  • 건강소비자의 고품질 간호요구가 증대됨에 따라 전문간호사 제도가 시행된 이후 전문간호사의 직무에 대한 임파워먼트, 직무만족, 조직몰입의 수준을 파악하고 일반간호사와 비교한 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 이에 본 연구는 서울과 인천지역의 6개 상급종합병원과 4개 종합병원의 전문간호사와 간호사를 대상으로 직접 배포하거나 이메일을 통해 설문지를 받아 분석하였다. SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 t 검정과 ANOVA 분석을 실시하였다. 임파워먼트 평균은 전문간호사($3.56{\pm}0.53$)와 간호사($3.50{\pm}0.54$)간에 유의한 차이가 없었다(t =-. 861, p = 0.390). 직무만족 평균도 전문간호사($3.36{\pm}0.53$)와 간호사($3.25{\pm}0.46$)간에 유의한 차이가 없었다(t =- 1.575, p = 0.117). 조직몰입 평균도 전문간호사($3.11{\pm}0.34$)와 간호사($3.05{\pm}0.36$)간에 유의한 차이가 없었다(t =- 1.301, p = 0.195). 임파워먼트, 직무만족, 조직몰입 모두 전문간호사와 일반간호사 집단간 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이는 한국에서 전문간호사 역할이 명확하게 정립되어 있지 않고 고용과 보상이 적절하지 않은 점과 전문간호사 제도의 운용과 효율이 부족한 실정에 기인한다고 생각된다.

북한이탈여성의 건강 임파워먼트 측정도구 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Health Empowerment Scale for North Korean Women Defectors)

  • Purpose: This study developed an instrument to evaluate the health empowerment of North Korean women refugees and examined its validity and reliability. Methods: Through literature review and focused group interviews, 66 preliminary items with three constructs, including perceived control, perceived competence, and goal internalization were selected based on Menon's psychological health empowerment model. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 239 North Korean women refugees in the community from August 31 to September 4, 2020. Content, construct, convergent, and discriminative validity were evaluated. Cronbach's α was used to evaluate the reliability of scale. Results: The final instrument consisted of 31 items with three factors that were identified through confirmatory factor analysis. The convergent validity showed that the correlation coefficient was .52 (p < .001), which confirmed the validity of the developed measurement tool. Cronbach's α for all the items was .94, and Cronbach's α for the factors was .76~.91. Conclusion: This health empowerment scale has been developed to include aspects of health empowerment, provide a conceptual framework, and offer objective indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of a health education program.

디지털 리터러시와 건강 임파워먼트가 노인의 의사와의 소통에 미치는 영향 연구: 건강신념의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Digital Literacy and Health Empowerment on Elders' Communication with Doctors: Focusing on Moderating Effect of Health Beliefs)

  • Purpose: This study explored the effects of the elderly group's digital literacy and health empowerment on communication with doctors, considering moderating effect of health beliefs about chronic diseases. Methods: A one-on-one interview survey was conducted with 500 older adults in South Korea. The main variables were digital literacy, health empowerment, communication with doctors, and health belief of chronic diseases. Results: The interaction effect between health empowerment and susceptibility, and health empowerment and perceived barrier were significant. Conclusion: Communication with doctors greatly increased when the elders had high levels of health empowerment and low levels of susceptibility. Also, communication with doctors greatly increased when the elders had high levels of health empowerment and low levels of perceived barriers.

병원 간호사의 감정노동, 임파워먼트, 직무소진 및 이직의도 간의 관계 (The Relationship of Emotional Labor, Empowerment, Job Burnout and Turnover Intention of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among emotional labor, empowerment, job burnout, and turnover intention. Methods: The design of this study was a cross-sectional descriptive study. The subjects of this study were 358 nurses working for over 6 months in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The data were collected from 4th to 30th of September, 2009 through one-to-one interviews. Survey data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression. Results: We find the positive correlation of turnover intention with emotional labor and with job burnout, but the negative correlation of empowerment with job burnout and with turnover intention. The nurses' turnover intention scores were relatively low with 1.30. Job burnout, shift work, and frequency of turnover were predictors of turnover intention. The most powerful predictor variable was job burnout (${\beta}$=.420, p<.001). We find that emotional labor and empowerment as determinants of turnover intention are not significant. Conclusion: These results suggest that manager should consider shift work of nurses and job burnout in order to manage nurse organization and resource effectively.

  • Purpose: This descriptive study attempted to identify the influence of internal marketing perception, empowerment, and job satisfaction on customer orientation of clinical nurses. Methods: The subjects were 411 nurses with over one year working experience in a university hospital, located in I-city. The data were collected from April 20 to 30, 2012. using a self-report questionnaire. The data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in customer orientation depending on general characteristics(age, marital status, education, position, clinical experience, and department). Internal marketing perception, empowerment, and job satisfaction correlated with customer orientation. As the results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis for impact factors on nurses' customer orientation show, factors are the outpatient department in working places(${\beta}$=.10), education and training in internal marketing perception(${\beta}$=.12) and empowerment(${\beta}$=.44), which accounted for 31.1% of customer orientation. Conclusion: Therefore, nurse managers should identify the needs to perceive nurses as internal customers, and the internal marketing strategy should be performed to empower nurses. Also, it is needed to place nurses with high customer orientation at the outpatient department.

노인 우울에 따른 임파워먼트와 양생(養生) (The Empowerment and YANGSAENG(養生) according to Depression for the Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 노인의 우울 유무에 따라 임파워먼트와 양생의 차이를 파악하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구방법은 S시와 Y시 소재 지역사회 복지관 프로그램 참여노인을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 실시하였다. 연구결과로 첫째, 대상자의 37.7%가 우울집단에 속하였고, 둘째, 우울의 유무에 따라 임파워먼트와 양생에서 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 우울 유무에 따라 양생의 하위범주 중 도덕수양, 마음조양, 음식양생, 활동과 휴식, 운동양생, 수면양생에서 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 노인은 우울할수록 임파워먼트와 양생이 떨어졌으며, 임파워먼트가 높을수록 양생이 높았다. 따라서 노인의 임파워먼트 및 양생을 위한 프로그램 개발 시 노인의 우울이 고려되어야 함을 시사하고, 특히 양생은 신체적, 정서적 건강관리와 관련된 하위범주에서 차이가 나므로 우울한 노인일수록 신체적, 정서적 건강관리를 주의 깊게 확인해야 할 필요성이 있다. 마지막으로 양생은 노인의 임파워먼트와 관련이 있으므로 양생을 위해서 임파워먼트를 높여 주는 전략이 우선적으로 필요하다.

중소병원 간호사의 직무 스트레스와 임파워먼트가 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Job Stress and Empowerment on Clinical Nurses' Performance in Small and Medium Hospitals)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of job stress and empowerment on nursing performance of clinical nurses working in small and medium hospital. Methods: The empirical data were collected from a self-administered survey using a structured questionnaire with 404 nurses working in 4 medium-sized hospitals (less than 300 beds), located in I-city. The data were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: There were significant differences in nursing performance depending on general characteristics (age, marital status, religion, shift work, education level, position, clinical experience, department, and monthly salary). Empowerment correlated with nursing performance. Factors influencing on nursing performance were empowerment, clinical experience, job stress, and marital status with $R^2$ value of 36.3%. The most influencing factor was empowerment (${\beta}$=.47), followed by clinical experience (${\beta}$=.24), job stress (${\beta}$=.20), and marriage (${\beta}$=.12). Conclusion: It is needed to implement specific empowerment strategy, control job stress, and reward experienced and married nurses working in medium-sized hospital for improving nursing task performance.

119 구급대원의 임파워먼트에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Factors Influencing Empowerment of 119 Emergency Medical Technicians)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of job stress, self-efficacy and empowerment of 119 Emergency medical technicians in Jeollanam-do. Methods: This study used the data collected from 346 respondents working for first aid in a fire station. To answer research questions, this study employed frequency analysis, reliability test, F (t)-test, ANOVA, Scheffe' post-hoc test, and multiple-regression analysis. Results: In terms of demographic characteristics, marital status and age had significant impact on job stress, but sex and education did not. In terms of job characteristics, first placement, rank, and tenure made significant difference on job stress, whereas certificate, department, and area did not. These results address that general characteristics, self-efficacy and job stress are critical variables on empowerment. Conclusion: From the research findings, it is concluded that fire fighters' job stress can be reduced if professional development programs are given to them, which is likely to provide better public services such as first aids and welfare, as well as to increase job satisfaction.
