The purpose of this study was to identify the facility adaptation characteristics, and the relationship between facility adaptation and the potential affective factors; ADL, self-efficacy, and quality of care facility, and to identify the affective factors on facility adaptation for elders in long-term care facility. Data were collected from 177 none dementia elders over 65 in 9 long-term care facilities from Jan.2, 2011 to March 15, 2011. The data were analysed through t/F test, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression (stepwise). The major findings of this study were as follow; Facility adaptation shows significant difference from admission decision maker(p=.004), religion(p=.027), and motive of admission(p=.009). And facility adaptation has weakly correlated with ADL and quality of care facility. The affective adaptation factors were decision maker, motive of admission, personal interview, religion, and perceived health status, but showed 22.8% of explanation. Thus the findings from this study could be used as bases for nursing intervention supporting elders' care facility adaptation.

The data was collected from 179 elders in a rural community. Data collection was done from October 20 to December 6, 1997. A comparison of self-esteem and perceived health status by experience of stressful life events and general characteristics was summarized as follows : 1) Eighty three persons, $46.4\%$ of the surveyed, have experienced stressful life events, including disease(54 persons) and death of family member(l2 persons). 2) Thirty eight percents of the surveyed persons evaluated they are not healthy. The average score of perceived health status of the elderly was 2.88± .92 for the scale of 5, which represents the healthiest status. 3) There were significant differences on the self-esteem score in the elderly according to having a spouse or not(t=3.51. p=.00l), having family members living together or not(t=2.98. p=.003) and socioeconomic status(F=7.08. p=.00l). 4) There were significant differences on the perceived health status in the elderly according to experience of stressful life events(t=3.51. p=.00l), having family members living together or not(t=2.09, p= .038) and socioeconomic status(F=6.56, p=.002). 5) Positive correlation was observed between self-esteem and perceived health(r= .5037, p=.000). The above results imply that support of family and society should be reinforced to improve self-respect and health of aged persons, and that it is desirable to build up social and economic environment promoting health status through daily life.

There were 91 (76.5%) A type and 28 (23.5%) B Type personality types, indicating that female student smokers were more frequently type A rather than type B. 2. Perceived health status by personality type indicated that those with type B ($27.71{\pm}4.67$) perceived higher health status than those with type A ($26.53{\pm}4.60$) but the result was not statistically significant (p = 237). 3. Perceived stress by personality type indicated that those with type B ($83.71{\pm}13.13$) perceived more stress than those with type A ($70.52{\pm}12.35$). 4. Differences between depression by personality type indicated that those with type B ($47.21{\pm}8.53$) perceived more stress than those with type A ($45.42{\pm}7.32$) but this was not statistically significant (p = .277). 5. There were significant negative correlations between perceived health status and stress (r=-0.300. p<0.004), depression and perceived health status (r=-.456. p<0.000). There was significant positive correlation between stress and depression (r= .700, p<0.000). 6. There was no significant difference between perceived health status, stress, or depression according to general characteristics. Conclusion: According to the results, researchers should continually identify women's smoking behavior included various physical and psychological variables related to women's health. In addition, programs for improving physical and psychological health should be designed and operated to decrease the perception of stress and to increase the perception of health motivation for women smokers.

As the aging population has increased, the silver generation is getting to account for the considerable percent of economic activities and becomes the main body of production and consumption. Although the economic activity of silver generation is increased, the development of silver contents for the leisure activities is still not revitalized. The serious silver contents and the easy-to-use interface are very important because the silver generation is relatively weaker than young people in perception, studying, and exercise, and is fragile in mobility and vitality. This paper suggests methods to develop sensory bicycle, gate ball, and mole game contents haying lower body exercise effects for the silver generation to utilize leisure and maintain health. Along with fun as games, functional design factors suitable to the cognitive ability and bodily activity ability of the silver generation were considered and through sensory intefaces that are easy for the silver generation to use and customized progressing methods complying with individual characteristics, it was attempted to induce continued interests and lower body exercise effects.

The increasing prevalence of diabetes is a socioeconomic and health issue. Diabetes control is a lifelong management rather than a cure, and self-care should be undertaken. This study is to classify diabetes mellitus into non-regulatory group, and to prove the difference in risk factors for diabetes. Furthermore, we want to clarify the relationship between the emotional factors by diabetics and the prevalence of diabetes. As a result, the factor of prevalence for glycemic control which is a diabetic person was demonstrated. In addition, negative emotions such as depression and stress were found to be associated with diabetes mellitus and blood sugar control. Therefore, the diagnosis of diabetes is considered to be necessary in combination with negative emotions such as depression and stress.

Results: The scale mean scores (4 scale) for perceived health status, self-esteem, extraversion, neuroticism, psychoticism, and lie, the last four being the types of personality covered in the study, were $2.27{\pm}0.37$, $2.27{\pm}0.31$, $2.13{\pm}0.33$, $2.55{\pm}0.41$, $2.36{\pm}0.27$, and $2.20{\pm}0.34$, respectively. The variables that showed positive correlations with perceived health status were self-esteem and extraversion and the ones that showed negative correlations with perceived health status were neuroticism, psychoticism, and lie. Self-esteem, extraversion, and neuroticism were proved to be major influencing factors affecting perceived health status. This study was conducted with 193 pairs of mother-in-law and son-in-law to examine the mediating effect of marital satisfaction on the relationship between interpersonal differentiation and affectual solidarity. Using SPSS and PROCESS macro program, descriptive statistical analysis(frequency, ratio, mean, and standard deviation) and mediating effect analysis through bootstrapping were performed. The main research results are as follows. First, in the case of the son-in-law, his own marital satisfaction completely mediated the relationship between the sub-factors of interpersonal differentiation (fusion with others, emotional cutting) and affectual solidarity. Second, in the case of mother-in-law, the perceived daughter's marital satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between the sub-factors of interpersonal differentiation (connectivity, separability) and affectual solidarity. These findings suggest the functional importance of the marital system for a healthy relationship between mother-in-law and son-in-law.
The purpose of this study is to help female office workers in relieving their stress in rapidly changing modern society and maintaining a healthy and beautiful life by analyzing the complex effects of alternative beauty therapy on stress relaxation targeting 50 female office workers in their 30s to 40s, usually showing a high stress index due to their work. Aroma therapy and dry relax massage were carried out for 15 minutes as a beauty therapy, and stress index of the subjects was confirmed through survey before performing the beauty therapy. The experiment was conducted once a week for four weeks, and the cortisol concentration in saliva was analyzed for the outcome measurement. As a result, average stress index was 3.97 which showed a high value, and the cortisol concentration of the subjects after the experiment decreased significantly (p<0.05), and especially subjects who were married and had caregiving responsibility showed more changes in their cortisol concentration. The above result shows that dry relax massage using aroma is highly effective for mind and body relaxation of women in their 30s to 40s who are significantly stressed. If such beauty measures are applied properly, it is judged to be helpful for managing the stress.
