Third, personal information infringement and information security awareness had a simple mediating effect in the parallel multiple mediation state. Fourth, information security had a simple mediating effect, but it was found that there was no simple mediating effect in the parallel multiple mediation state. This study is meaningful in that it empirically compared the simple and multi-mediation effects.

  • In this paper, the security behaviors and attitudes related with the personal information of teenagers were investigated using empirical data based on rational behavior theory and protection motivation theory. An experiment for teenagers was conducted on Excel and the statistical packages (i.e., SPSS 21.0 and SmartPLS2.0.M3) to see how self-efficiency, security attitude, security intention and individual innovation affect their security behaviors. The experimental results showed that the security behaviors and attitudes of teenagers between internet and information devices are closely related, and the social influences can affect personal self-efficacy and security attitudes. Finally, we can know that teenagers should recognize the importance of security and protect their personal information safely through continuous education and training so that they can be linked to security behaviors.

  • Although many studies have focused on the influences and outcomes of personal information leakage, few studies have investigated how the personal information leakage prevention behavior differs depending on internet user. This study attempts to supplement the existing studies' limitations with the use of risk perception attitude (RPA) framework. More specifically, this study tries to show internet user can be classified into four groups based on perceived risk of personal information leakage and efficacy beliefs of personal information protection, and to identify how the groups differ in terms of motivation, information seeking, and behaviors for privacy leakage prevention. Analysis on survey data from 276 internet users reveals that the users can be classified into responsive, avoidance, proactive, indifference groups. Furthermore, there are differences between groups in terms of motivation, information seeking, and behaviors for personal information leakage prevention. This study contributes to expand existing literature by providing tailored guidelines for implementation of personal information protection strategies and policy.

However the people are showing negative attitudes about personal information, as the ongoing personal data leakages. Therefore, authors tried to empirical analysis of the effectiveness of national policy on the protection of personal information, using SERVQUAL model, focused on the people's perception, in order to identify that how the people recognized current policy. Authors find that the public has perceived the effectiveness of the policy positively, but the level of their awareness is low. And we identify that the people are highly aware of the policy's effectiveness for Immediacy, Convenience and Responsibility, while they have the lowest effectiveness for Efficiency. The policy's improvement focused on the public's low expectations/perceptions and effectiveness awareness, is required in order to develop people-oriented national privacy policy that are satisfied by the people.
