  • The purpose of this study is to measure the relative importance of the factors that affect school to work transition that food service-related majors and workers recognize. To this end, this study composed such factors into a second hierarchy level of individual background, educational background, and preparation effort to enter labor market. The study made us of the analytic hierarchy process(AHP), which calculates the importance of each factor through the relative evaluation of each factor in the hierarchy. The results of analysis are as follows. First, in the second hierarchy level, effort to enter the labor market exhibited the highest relative importance. In the case of four-year college students, educational background had the highest relative importance. Second, in case of third hierarchy level factors relating to personal background, gender had the highest relative importance. As for educational background, the type of college had the highest relative importance. As to the effort to enter labor market, overseas working experience while in college and job searching channels had high relative importance, while vocational training experience had the lowest relative importance. Third, the analysis result of complex weighted value showed that the type of college had the highest complex weighted value. In future studies, the type of businesses and business conditions in the food service industry should be subdivided for an analysis of influential factors, and, based on this, customized career guidance should be made for specific career paths of each student.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the level of key competencies and teacher efficacy of pre-service industrial teachers as related to their personal backgrounds, and to analyze the correlation between personal variables, key competencies and teaching efficacy. This will be provided as basic resources for pre-service teacher training program to improve the understanding of key competencies and teaching efficacy of pre-service industrial teachers. The results of this study are as follows. First, the teacher efficacy of pre-service industrial teachers was found to be above average (M=3.0), and teaching efficacy (M=3.41) was found to be a bit higher than personal teacher efficacy (M=3.28). Upon analyzing the significant differences of teacher efficacy resulting from background variables, it was found that gender and major had no difference while the effect of school year on teaching efficacy of teacher efficacy showed statistically significant differences. Second, the lower regions of key competencies of pre-service industrial teachers all were above the average 3.0. Gender and school year were exhibited no significant difference, and only the global competence of key competencies showed significant difference. Third, it was found that the gender and major of pre-service industrial teachers had no correlation with teacher efficacy and key competencies. On the other hand, school year variable showed significant positive correlation with teacher efficacy (r=.274) and key competencies (r=.168). Lastly, it was found that key competencies and teacher efficacy had positive correlation of r=.475.

  • In this paper, the purpose is to verify the impact of performance expectations, effort expectations, social impact, individual innovation and perceived value on the intent of use and the behavior of use. Used Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to verify the applicability of this model in China, and established the research model by adding two new variables to UTAUT according to the situation of the Chinese market. To achieve this goal, 345 questionnaires were collected for experienced music creators using artificial intelligence nuggets in China by means of Internet research. The collected data were analyzed through frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation analysis through SPSS V. 22.0 and AMOS V 22.0. The verification of the hypotheses presented in the research model identified the decisive influence factors on the use of artificial intelligence music acceptance by Chinese users. The study is innovative in that it attempts to verify the applicability of UTAUT in the Chinese context. In the construction of the user acceptance model of AI music, three influencing factors will have an effect on users' intentions, and according to the degree of effect, from largest to smallest, they are respectively Perceived Innovativeness, Performance Expectancy and Effort Expectancy. This paper will also provide some management advices, i.e. improving the utility and usability of AI music, encouraging users with individual innovativeness, developing competitive and attractive pricing policies, increasing publicity, and prioritizing word-of-mouth advertising.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of individual background, educational experiences, and social awareness on youth's civic participation in the three East Asian countries (South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan), and provide educational implications for encouraging Korean youth's civic participation. And we estimated the effects of 17 variables on the youth's current and future civic participation using 'International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) 2016' data opened in 2018. The result showed that the factors affecting on the civic participation were significantly different between the three countries. And significant differences on current and future civic participation were confirmed within the same country. First, Korean youth have high level of their parents' civic resources but the level of civic education in school is lower than other countries, and Taiwan youth have relatively high level of national identity. Second, the factors affecting on civic participation are more influenced by educational experiences than individual background such as parents' socioeconomic status, and the mass media have significant effect on youth's civic participation in all the three countries. Third, non-formal program and cultural experiences in school have significant effects on civic participation in future adulthood. Based on these results, this study suggested that it was important to provide various non-formal activities as well as expansion of civic education for encouraging youth's civic participation.

  • In this paper, I examine the impacts of father's education, a proxy for family wealth and income, on the individual's education, occupational choice and labor force status. I find that father's education influences the level of individual educational investment and occupational choices directly, whose findings are quite different from those of Blau and Duncan(l967) and Phang and Kim(2000). I also find that father's higher level of education induces an individual to withdraw from the labor force, which results in erosion of inequality among family. Therefore I argue that the inheritance of inequality in family wealth tends to persist, while the erosion of inequality proceeds, as well.
