Development of non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller design algorithm for singular systems (특이시스템의 비약성 $H_{\infty}$ 제어기 설계 알고리듬 개발)

  • In this paper, we consider the synthesis of non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ state feedback controllers for singular systems and static state feedback controller with multiplicative uncertainty. The sufficient condition of controller existence, the design method of non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller, and the measure of non-fragility in controller are presented via LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique. Also, the sufficient condition can be rewritten as LMI form in terms of transformed variables through singular value decomposition, some changes of variables, and Schur complements. Therefore, the obtained non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller guarantees the asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop singular systems within a prescribed degree. Moreover, the controller design method can be extended to the problem of robust and non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller design method for singular systems with parameter uncertainties. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the design method.

  • A controller design procedure for an electro-hydraulic positioning systems has been developed using $H{\infty}$ control. The generalized plant models and weighting function for multiplicative uncertainty modelling error was presented along with $H{\infty}$ controller designs in order to investigate the robust stability and performance. Both disturbance rejection and command tracking performances were improved with the $H{\infty}$ controller, and the better uniformity of time response is achieved across wide range of operating conditions than the PID, LQR and LQG control scheme. The multiplicative uncertainty case was specifically suited for the design of an electro-hydraulic positioning control systems using $H{\infty}$ control.

  • In this study, a synchronous controller which can be applied to two-axes position synchronization has been developed. The synchronous control system based on coupling structure has been composed of speed and synchronous controller. The speed controller has been designed to fellow speed reference. And the synchronous controller has been designed in the view point of accurate synchronization and robust stability by $H_{\infty}$ approach. The effectiveness of the designed synchronous controller has been demonstrated by experiment.

  • In this study, we consider a dynamic positioning system (DPS) design problem that can be extended to many application fields. Toward this end, tracking and positioning control problems are discussed. In particular, we design a tracking control system that incorporates an observer based on the 2-DOF servo system design approach in order to obtain the desired state information. In the case of observer design, a weighted $H_{\infty}$ error bound approach for a state estimator is considered. Based on an algebraic Riccati equation (inequality) approach, a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a full-order estimator that satisfies the weighted $H_{\infty}$ error bound is introduced. The condition for the existence of the estimator is denoted by a linear matrix inequality (LMI) that yields an optimized solution and the observer gain.

  • she purpose of this paper is to propose an approach to suppress the vibration of three-mass inertia system based on the LMI theory. and confirm its validity through simulations under the condition of parameter variation. First, the existing $H_{\infty}$ servo problem is modified to a structure to which the LMI theory can be applied by virtue of the interval model principle. By adopting this structure, we can divide given specifications fur the vibration suppression problem into $H_2$and $H_{\infty}$ performance criteria. The results of simulation for the three-mass inertia system show that the proposed design approach is quite effective.

  • This paper proposes a new $H_{\infty}$ yaw moment control scheme using brake torque switching for improving vehicle performance and stability especially in high speed driving. In the scheme, one wheel is selected, depending on the vehicle states, at which a brake torque for control is applied. Steering angles are modeled as a disturbance to the system and the $H_{\infty}$ controller is designed to minimize the difference between the performance of the vehicle and that of the desired model. Its performance robustness as well as stability robustness to system parameter variations is assured through ${\mu}$-analysis. Various simulations with a nonlinear 8-DOF vehicle model show that proposed controller enhances the vehicle performance and stability under disturbances and parameter variations as well as under the normal driving condition.

  • 본 논문에서는 기계적 위치 제어계에서 다단계 뱅-뱅 액츄에이터의 비선형성에 의한 목표 위치에서의 리미트 사이클을 방지하는 제어방법을 제안한다. 다단계 뱅-뱅 액츄에이터의 선형화된 모델인 기술함수를 이용하여 비선형성을 보상한다. 강인성을 확보하기 위해 루프 형성 기법에 의한 H/sub .inf./ 제어기가 설계된다. 제안된 제어방법은 기존의 선형제어기보다 비선형성이 보상되어 사역대가 작아지므로 최소 제어 가능 구간을 줄일 수 있다. 1축 위치 제어계의 실험을 하여 제안된 제어방법이 리미트 사이클을 줄이고 제어정도를 향상 시키는데 유효함을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, a state feedback gain controller using linear matrix inequality(LMI) for the multi-objective synthesis is designed, in the multi-layer structure with integral type servo system. The design objectives include $H_{\infty}$ performance, asymptotic disturbance rejection, time-domain constraints, on the closed-loop pole location. The results of computer simulation show the validity of the designed controller.

  • Recently, higher speed optical disk drives including computer CD-ROM drives tend to be increasingly demanded to read or write the enormous volume of digital data. To this end, both structure and controller designs of the optical pick-ups should be improved concurrently. In this paper, the pick-up during auto-focusing motion is mathematically modelled retaining all its peculiar features. The model turns out a linear time invariant system suitable for a control design namedH${\infty}$ which ensures robust stability in the presence of system uncertainties. Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the robustness with appropriate performance specifications being satisfied. In addition, as the implementation issue of it, procedures of temporal discretization as well as model reduction of the controller are also addressed.

  • In this paper, we consider the robust non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ output feedback controller design method for uncertain descriptor systems with feedback and observer gain variations. The existence condition of observer-based robust and non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ output feedback controller and the controller design method are Presented on the basis of linear matrix inequality approach. The proposed robust non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ output feedback controller guarantees asymptotic stability, non-fragility, $H_{\infty}$ norm bound within a prescribed level in spite of disturbance, parameter uncertainty, and feedback/observer gain variations.
